    During the video, I mentioned that you can't get 200 amps from 2 100ah batteries in parallel. That's not completely true. What I should have said is that if one of the batteries fails, the whole system will shut down because the 200 amp load will be thrown to the single remaining battery. When both batteries are healthy, that parallel group can deliver 200 amps.

    you're the reason I went with this kit, im still running wires for it and trying to make it look pretty but im happy with the amount of power I get out of this box, I will say that thing is HEAVY though..

      I love mine. I was just at my cabin over the weekend and barely put a dent in this kit. It never dropped below 90% and was always fully charged the next day. Agree with the weight. You know you're lifting it.

    Just got my 280AH cells and kit. My BMS is different from yours. They have restructure the B M S. The negative busbar is no longer next to the #2 negative wire but on opposite side on the BMS, upper corner. Therefore had to reverse the negative end panel so the markings are now on the inside of battery box. Had to mark this end panel manually to identify it as the negative end panel. The 5P wire is now attached to the BMS right next to the heavy #2 negative wire. Just below that are two separate temperature wires mounted. The B+ (red wire), the number 2 white wire, the B- wire (black wire), and the two temperature wires now all run straight down the cells making their respective connections. There is NO crisscrossing across the top of the cells. The number 1 and number 3 white wires run just above the top of the BMS then make a left turn to connect to their respective connections. This new layout makes for a very clean and orderly arrangement of wires atop of the battery cells. The other group of wires were already mounted to a small circuit board and given its own space to hang out down back end of the BMS. There were no new instructions given to reflect any of the changes of this new layout. It came with the old set of instructions. I did insert a sheet of battery insulation between the cells. I used Barley Paper with adhesive on one side. An Amazon purchase.

      I just recieved my second kit and saw the same things you saw except my BMS only sees 200ah. I did a complete down/up cycle on it and still 200ah. I know its 280 because on the down, it ran for several hours after going to zero. What does your kit register as?

      @@TheWoodHaven Hello. I have built my battery. Have yet to install in box. Waiting for 40A AC Anderson Charger for AC Battery Box sold by Licitti. I emailed Mark Lu tonight about your concern about this “new” BMS being rated only for 200ah and if it was good enough for our 280ah battery cells. I queried him about this as I was already querying him about the 40A AC charger’s whereabouts as my cells and BMS came in one shipment and the Box in another shipment and have yet to see the arrival of the 40A AC charger. All these were on same order.
      I had also ordered his CyberBox 3000 Portable Power Station - 300AH power station which he informed me he could not send that to me at my location (Alaska). I also with this power station ordered his 30A AC charger and both the big and smaller DC Control Boxes. I am waiting for a response to see if he is able to ship me the DC Control Boxes and the 30A AC Charger. Also, I wanted to know why he was able to ship me the kit but not the completed power station. It may be because one had a completed battery built and the other were individual cells. Any way I brought up your concern about this “new” BMS being rated for 200ah and if it was good enough for our 280ah battery cells. When I get a response back from Mark Wu, I will let you know what he says about it. Thank you for responding to my input.

      @@user-qz8ej3nq2n I've had my eye on that Cyberbox 3000 Portable Power Station myself. I'm wondering if he can't ship it to Alaska due to cost.

      @@TheWoodHaven as of yet, I do not know. Unable to order any other power stations from other brands. Shipping to Alaska denied. Amazon also will not ship any power stations to Alaska (even their dc refrigerators/freezers). Even PECRON will not ship any products to Alaska, including non-battery items. Also until recently, even Browey refused to ship to Alaska. Last month they allowed me to purchase their C600 suitcase solar generator, when before I was denied. Do not know why or how to get around this. So, this kit from Licitti, the 280ah battery kit with new gen battery box, was a surprise when I found that they would ship it to me. So, I had to order it and I got it. The shipping for that was higher than given for the 3000 solar station. My initial order for the 3000 went through but after waiting awhile got email from Mark Wu, saying he could not ship that one to me and will reimburse me.

    You made all of the protections to prevent the blockage of the vents of the individual blocks and then covered the whole battery with your yellow panels and sealed the whole package with tape. How do you now provide the blocks with venting when the whole package is not vented?

    • @TheWoodHaven
      @TheWoodHaven  4 місяці тому

      The cells don't vent very much. That's what the foam is for, to provide enough room abolve the vents to vent.

      It is really tight because the lower portion of the gen 1 box is narrower than the top. With some mods to the bottom inside of the gen 1 box, you may be able to fit. I've heard others say they can make it fit, but I have not tried.
