- In this video, we will talk about some tips for photographing sports like a pro. The number one thing that will hold you back from getting great sports shots is relying on the auto function on your camera. While sports modes can be helpful, they still leave a lot to chance. That's why tip number one is always shooting in full manual mode. This will give you the most control and creativity with your photos.
Tip number two is to look for interesting framing. Be in a different spot than everyone else. Look for foreground elements to add depth to your shots. Place your subject between lines that draw the viewer's eyes to the focal point. And don't be afraid to add pops of colour to your photos.
Finally, tip number three is to find people to practice with. If you have friends who play the sport you want to photograph, invite them out and see what you can capture. If not, find local hot spots and events to meet people participating in the sport. Most organizers for amateur events would love to have another camera out capturing the action.
So, there you have it, folks. Follow these tips, keep your camera in manual, and get to practicing the art of your craft. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you in the following video!
