Best review for this card. Great job. Thank you!
Upgrading this weekend. Have a 1660 super at the moment. Giving my pc to my son and building a new one with this card.
Have ordered 7800x3d and a 4080super. Been using a modest i5 9400f & 1660ti past 5 years. Excited!!
Hope you enjoy it!
That is such a worth upgrade!
I have the non super variant of this card, which if i remember right are second best tier for oc'ing. If they kept the amount of vrms on this card as their previous 4080, it should stay where its at in tier.
Also looks good in a case regardless if vertical/horizontally mounted. The rgb on it is actually pretty classy rather than flashy.
Also a quick kinda minor oc i know will work on that card without increasing temps or crashing is +114 to core, +800 to mem, +50% to voltage, and max out the temp and power limit slider to max.
You should be boosting to around 2950+/- at most 60c.The gigabyte gaming oc should give you a +17% limit over 10% to power limit over other models too, so even just leaving that maxed out will give you a performance boost when you're at your ceiling.
With +180 or more to the core you can hit 3 ghz, but rt at 3ghz is usually unstable.. at least at 4k.
Mem oc gives you the best results as where all the rtx 4000 lineup can all easily handle an extra 1k+ to memclock. 800 is just enough to get mem to 12000hz and not add too much heat to it, and 12ghz is fast.
Just upgraded to this card from a 17 7700k, 1080ti to a i9 14900k 4080ti. It's about time :D
i'm upgrading from an i7-7700k and a 1070 to the i9-14900k - 4080super! hows the PC feeling so far?😁
How is this card? is there any coil whine? Beacuse i want to buy it
There's no such thing as a 4080 Ti so stop lying 💀
@@504Treythe super basically is lol building a new 4080 super build along side my 3070 build
@lilmisery1643
When u gotta say the word "basically" that let u know it's no such thing as a 4080 Ti 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
Does the graphics card come with new 12vhpwr connector or old 12vhpwr connector
Is it wise to install gigabyte control centre?
How long is this bad boy looks smaller than other 4080s which is great
You forgot to remove plastic cover from backplate and gigabyte logo.
4080 and 4080 super just get little increase, so 4080 will be legend after discontinued?
The 4080 dropped in price after super launch, I got it in 10% cheaper price than super Variant, considering the performance difference is only 2% ,it was a great deal
for me the best looking 40 serie card on the market
I got the Strix 4080 Super OC, which in my opinion the Strix is the best ones in the lineup.
Good for overclocking, good thermals, good solid builds.
Mine is currently stable overclocked to 3015MHz
Yeah however the price is a big problem
@@jinouga4193Ya the price went up by 250 in one week after release here 😏
And the power draw?
@@bb-ballistics1706 What about he power draw? My PSU can handle it, and I dont care about the electricity bill.
@@EricTheBroBean no I was just asking. What does that clock cost in the terms of power?
For me personally getting this card will be a great improvement coming from a 1080 Ti.
What different between this and the eagle version
Better cooling
damn didnt even say those on 1000s series, my 1080ti has been forgotten xD
My current rig has a GTX 970/R5 3600 😅 I just got this exact 4080 in the mail today for my new R9 7950X3D build, I'm about to change the entire PC gaming world for myself lmfao
@@tacticalteamkilling6539how’s the 4080 going so far?
@@pm110978 Still haven't ordered my CPU yet, but I'm hoping to do that this weekend. I'll be able to answer your question in a couple weeks hopefully!
@@tacticalteamkilling6539 what about the GPU?
This card have missing thermalpads comparing to it's non super counterpart which was built properly.
Wait is this bad?
Shoulf i get the non s 4080
@@slowzu512 The non super card of this particular model was built better, but I can't make your decision. You need to check both of those cards taken apart yourself. There are images on the internet.
Did the card come with a anti-sag bracket?
yes it does
Watch the video before asking next time
better than the aorus master?
They’re about the same… I guess the AORUS Master has a slightly overclocked GPU and faster Vram
I need that shirt
Thanks :)
Is it noise?
Not noisy at all
@@Funkykit What do you mean? Meybe little bit noise?
I bought this gpu , but not sure how you can say this gpu easily outperforms 7900xtx 😅
It's true :D
It's way too big 😂
immediately switched videos with that ASMR BS sounding unboxing 😂 it is the worst
This is actually the worst GPU you can buy right now. Especially the Gigabyte Model. The Gigabyte model will crack its PCB in about a year or two and your RMA will be denied.
If I were you I would immediately return it.
Also the RTX 4080 super loses one power and memory phase so unless they are reusing RTX 4080 PCBS you are screwed.
hahhaha random guys speaking, you can see they fixed the distance for the PCB so it wont " crack"
they fixed that weak pcb problem already ? i really like the design of this card and wanna buy one.@@OtsegoS
@@OtsegoS is this gigabyte model now use smaller pcb than RTX 4080 ?
@@RZK-21 Just the point that clips to the PCI lane. That way they increased the mechanical strength of the card. Dont get me wrong the card is heavy use a support bracket. That card is a beast brother both in performance and build quality.
Whats the best ones?
