I made it through my 3rd interview however I failed on the 3rd one as I had 7 behavioral questions at one go that were really stressful to me. And some of the questions were situations that I have never came across while some were tricky. It is sad to see how employers make the interview process so complicated!! Thank you again.

I interviewed for my dream job recent and nearly blew it because I was not following the STAR method. I was lucky to have a nice interviewer who opted to stop the interview and reschedule for a few days later. He advised me to become familiar with this method of asking behavioral questions, specifically. I found your videos and started watching and practicing until my interview, which I just completed. I don’t know if I landed the job yet, but I actually felt prepared this time. This made a huge difference i my confidence. Even if I don’t get the job, the job experience of interviewing for it was a good one. I won’t give up! Thank you for sharing with us on this platform!!!

These responses are SO well structured. I am so glad I came across it. While preparing for my Amazon behavioural interview, I came across several other channels on UA-cam. However this one is by far the best construct on the STAR methodology. I unfortunately failed my Amazon interview but now have an upcoming interview at another tech giant so will be utilising the skills presented on this channel for sure!!! I previously got internship opportunities at the big 4 consulting firms from this channel and can’t believe I didn’t refer to this channel for the Amazon interview. But will from now on :) highly suggest this channel for anyone in the interviewing space!!

This man should be on a 6 figure salary. It would be scary for him to be the interviewer if you were being interviewed from him. UA-cam is a great place to research Q&A's for job interview applicants. I remember applying for a job I still have, a few years ago. Asked one question, and they gave me a 5 minute answer. I was the last person to leave the assessment centre, and I could see and hear them talking and smiling about me.

He hits the teamwork question out of the park. I'm a pretty good behavioral interviewer myself but my answers tend to be on the longer side, which I've been criticized for. I, for example, would have attempted to explain the other 6 ideas, which wasn't necessary. I was also looking for the two things he hit spot on - one was eye contact and the other was explaining the result of you/your team's actions (often forgotten). Sales up x% over the next however many quarters or whatever and he doesn't "credit hog." When making eye contact, don't forget to make it with everybody in equal amounts. This is a detail that is easy to lose in the moment when you're on the hot seat. The only question I have is do his answers sound too rehearsed? I like to pause to show I'm having to think before I answer.

I’m so happy to see all these positive comments from people this video helped, and there were definitely some useful techniques I teased out just from observing your body language, diction, structure of response, etc. If I may provide some constructive criticism though (and disclaimer: this is wholly subjective): I found the constant mention of working overtime a bit inauthentic. It felt like you were going for the hard sell of ‘my job is my life and I’ll sacrifice anything to get it done’. I don’t feel this mentality really flies in today’s workforce, where we are starting to understand how nurturing a positive work/ life balance and enforcing boundaries leads to success and efficiency. Although acknowledge this view does vary depending on what society, culture and industry you’re working in.
Thank you so much as this is an area that I struggle with but I'm learning to gain more confidence when I'm faced with these type of behavioural questions. At times even me being a Team Leader of Front of House concierge I can tend to forget all the challengers and certain tasks I would of actually done in a pressured situation and how I would of handled it etc. So after hearing your responses to your answers mine was nothing like this when faced with these type of questions. As I don't know but I tend to freeze or so in those moments and just want to answer the question even if I wasn't answering the question. But I know in order for me to improve I need to be in the know and have examples ready that I can ponder on, as I'm the type that can't make up anything on the spot it always needs to be something that I have experienced personally. But I'm encouraged after watching your video that for me at times I can't think on the spot like that so I got to be better prepared and write down the questions as thats what works better for me then freestyling . Customer complains they have old ticket which Service Desk team have responded too but no one has actually fixed. Customer complains they cannot perform their work and ready to escalate the issue because it should have been fixed last week. What are you going to do about this? 2. Can you describe your experiences working in a virtual team, and in particular what actions you take to maintain good communication? 3. In Customer Service how do you ensure that you have an understanding of customer needs in order to process an incident.

I’ve watched several of your videos and have to say this is the 1st that I feel would be most challenging for me. The answers are quite lengthy. When you’re a great storyteller it should come easy, but not for me. I get so nervous during interviews. My voice starts to shake while speaking. I need a method to develop short concise answers.

He hits the teamwork question out of the park. I'm a pretty good behavioral interviewer myself but my answers tend to be on the longer side, which I've been criticized for. I, for example, would have attempted to explain the other 6 ideas, which wasn't necessary. I was also looking for the two things he hit spot on - one was eye contact and the other was explaining the result of you/your team's actions (often forgotten). Sales up x% over the next however many quarters or whatever and he doesn't "credit hog." When making eye contact, don't forget to make it with everybody in equal amounts. This is a detail that is easy to lose in the moment when you're on the hot seat. The only question I have is do his answers sound too rehearsed? I like to pause to show I'm having to think before I answer.

I’m so happy to see all these positive comments from people this video helped, and there were definitely some useful techniques I teased out just from observing your body language, diction, structure of response, etc. If I may provide some constructive criticism though (and disclaimer: this is wholly subjective): I found the constant mention of working overtime a bit inauthentic. It felt like you were going for the hard sell of ‘my job is my life and I’ll sacrifice anything to get it done’. I don’t feel this mentality really flies in today’s workforce, where we are starting to understand how nurturing a positive work/ life balance and enforcing boundaries leads to success and efficiency. Although acknowledge this view does vary depending on what society, culture and industry you’re working in.

Thank you so much as this is an area that I struggle with but I'm learning to gain more confidence when I'm faced with these type of behavioural questions. At times even me being a Team Leader of Front of House concierge I can tend to forget all the challengers and certain tasks I would of actually done in a pressured situation and how I would of handled it etc.
So after hearing your responses to your answers mine was nothing like this when faced with these type of questions.
As I don't know but I tend to freeze or so in those moments and just want to answer the question even if I wasn't answering the question. But I know in order for me to improve I need to be in the know and have examples ready that I can ponder on, as I'm the type that can't make up anything on the spot it always needs to be something that I have experienced personally.
But I'm encouraged after watching your video that for me at times I can't think on the spot like that so I got to be better prepared and write down the questions as thats what works better for me then
freestyling .

Hi Richard regarding Customer service questions, best way to answer this STAR method?
1. Customer complains they have old ticket which Service Desk team have responded too but no one has actually fixed. Customer complains they cannot perform their work and ready to escalate the issue because it should have been fixed last week. What are you going to do about this?
2. Can you describe your experiences working in a virtual team, and in particular what actions you take to maintain good communication?
3. In Customer Service how do you ensure that you have an understanding of customer needs in order to process an incident.

I’ve watched several of your videos and have to say this is the 1st that I feel would be most challenging for me. The answers are quite lengthy. When you’re a great storyteller it should come easy, but not for me. I get so nervous during interviews. My voice starts to shake while speaking. I need a method to develop short concise answers.
