Pandvon ka janam
Due to the sage's curse, Pandu could no longer have physical relations with any woman. He started worrying that he would not be able to carry forward his lineage, Pandu's wives Kunti and Madri also started worrying about this. One day Pandu came to know that his wife Kunti had a unique boon. She could invoke the gods and get whatever she wanted.
Pandu urged Kunti to invoke the gods to take their lineage forward. When Pandu did not agree even after repeated refusals, Kunti agreed. Kunti invoked Dharma and by her grace Yudhishthira was born. After this she invoked Vayudev and Indradev and Bhima and Arjuna were born,
Then Kunti handed over her boon to Pandu's second wife Madri. Madri also invoked Ashwini Kumars and gave birth to Nakul and Sahadev. In this way, with the grace of the gods, the Pandavas came to earth.
How did Pandu die?
After Kunti and Madri became mothers, Pandu's far was filled with happiness. All his sons were brilliant and talented. One day Pandu went for a walk along Read river bank with his wife Madri. That day the weather became pleasant. A cool and fragrant wind started Madri's clothes flew away due to the gust of wind. As soon as Pandu saw Madri, he lost his temper and had sex with her. In this way, Pandu died due to the curse of sage Kindam. Madri could not bear this and she also became sati with her husband.
