Karna was cursed from birth till death, and he also helped Duryodhana in his evilness But from Karna's POV, he was not committing adharma, he was just protecting his friend and his vow given to Duryodhan , when he was coronated as Angaraj. Even after knowing that he is the eldest son of Kunti, he didn't accepted Krishna's tempting offer of getting the throne. Karna is a tragic hero in the Mahabharata. He was known to be the only warrior who could match Arjuna..

Karn was a negative character of Mahabharata. Everyone can't speak or digest this truth. So I am really impressed from Ami ji how powerfully she explained this particular thing. Great Attempt. My favourite character is Vidhur other than Krishna, I can't say much about him but jinke Ghar ka saag khane k liye Krishna ne duryodhan ka invitation bhi mana kar Diya. Obviously he is special character having super knowledge and bhakti.
My favorite character is Arjuna, Actually I started reading original Mahabharat, when I saw short clip of mam's video. That inspired me to do actual verification. Also recently, I have bought Ramayana books from Geeta Press Gorakhpur. Arjun and other Pandeva's were strong enough to kill every one, even though they suffered the pain, because they were nurtured in that way. During his exile period of 12 years, he could have also spend the time in food, enjoy, killing animals, funs but instead of that, he improved his war skill. He went to Swarga, collected divine weapon from all gods. This is a learning for us, in our tough time, we should not get depressed, instead we should think for improving skills and make our self stronger than our competitor. Now I am reading 3rd Volume. I have also decided to learn sanskrit language for further reading of our vedic literature.

my favourite character has to be draupadi! what an ideal women for any generation to look upon at! i’m just 18 and i’m a fan of Ami Ganatra ma’am and i would love to meet her someday and get all my doubts cleared about both our ITIHAAS. Draupadi can rightfully be described as ‘Beauty with Brains’. I love how Her soft feminine nature enhances her Kshtrani behaviour. She is like a guide to the women of our generation. The way she was the pillar of Pandavas and the way she used to look after accounts and the little things of everyone’s needs leaves you in awe. I’m clearly a fan!
Draupadi clearly is the epitome of marvellous beauty and flamboyant intellect. I’m currently in 12th grade and I was as it is going to buy all the 3 copies by Ami Ganatra Ma’am after my exams but when i got to know i equally have a chance to win those three copies which is signed by ma’am herself, i’m so excited! i’m glad i came across this podcast, i’ve been listening to her podcasts and the way she explains each and every ‘prasang’ in detail with such ease is mind blowing. i definitely am going to buy these copies even if i don’t win this giveaway. Huge respect for ma’am and thanks to this amazing youtube channel to bring up such topics for the generation like mine, clearly needs to get these teachings.
Draupadi was a daughter, a wife, a friend, a mother and she has played all the roles with such perfection throughout her lifetime that it is such a shame that today’s generation doesn’t look at her with the original lense. Mad respect for her character and her behaviour as despite going through the worst form of ‘Apamaan’ for a ‘Stree’, she upheld and raised the standards of women in such an explicit and flawless manner. I am fortunate to have worked on the same floor as hers, at Infosys Pune in the year 2004. Though we didn't work together, we worked for the same client and was delighted to overhear her conversations. She has a positive aura which can only be felt when you are around her. Later I came to know that she has left for IIMA. 20 years later, I am so glad to have rediscovered her this way!
My favourite character of Mahabharat is Draupadi. After listening to podcasts of Ami Ganatra I realised the contribution of Draupadi in keeping the brothers together and how she takes care of the palace responsibilities etc. Great, graceful and strong character.
Vidhur is my favorite character, The reason is that he has clarity of thought, he is humble and alway side with the morally correct position. I love reading Ami's books. I live in USA , visited India in Feb and bought her RamYn and Mahabharat unravelled. Would love to read other of her writings
He was most wise person other then Shri Krishn. He knew the power, Shakti the real roop of Krishn Bhagawan. Krishn never eat food at Doryodhan place but at Vidhurs place.
My favourite character is Vidhur because he has always suggested what is the right thing to do and we can apply his principles to our day to day life to get clarity on things.
I like Abhimanyu , because he didn't know how to get out of the chakravyuh, still then, he entered it and battled with all the warriors till his last breath.

My favorite character is Arjun in Mahabharat. I am a student who is studying in 10th class. whenever I am demotivated I think about Arjun and I get a lot of motivation. I try to imbibe all the characteristics he had like: 1. HE WAS SO GROUNDED - being world's biggest worrier he had the humility to surrender to lord Krishna even when they were the same in age and he acquired gyan of Gita. 2. HIS FOCUS -I learnedd from him that practice is the key to everything you want to achieve . due to his focus and dedication he was able to achieve everything he aspired to. 3.HE RESPECTED - as he aspired to be the best archer in the world he completely surrendered to his guru dronacharya everything he said was an order for him. 4. AN ULTIMATE HUMAN MIND - Bheema had a few anger issues and Yudishtra never lied this was something that Duryodhan took advantage of in Mahabharat but Arjun had no boundaries for lack of better words . he was dedicated and mainly the checkrein of his mind was under his control. HE WAS UNSTOPPABLE BECAUSE OF HIS FOCUS. Arjun would be my inspiration for life.

Shri Krishn is my favorite character from Mahabharat - It might seem quite obvious, because he is the bhagwan swaroop. But for me he comes as a lens of dharma. He allows us to look at situations through the lens of duty, compassion & righteousness. He is the one who throughout teaches us to aspire to be better. He comes as a man of principles and he sticks by those, no matter what. He depicts courage in doing so. He is an ideal friend - someone whom you can blindly trust as well as someone who will stand by you & help you through your situation. If we remove the part that he comes on Bhoolok to establish dharma, we can see him as a man who stood by his family/friends, someone who supports the right thing, someone who was always willing to avoid fights or wars until extremely necessary. He always had presence of mind and found ways that would be clever to help a situation. He was a man of his words. He was kind & forgiving. Whoever submitted to him in friendship, he was their friend through & through. He was considerate & gentle. And even at his own personal cost, he was always ready to do the right thing. He would sacrifice himself for you, if needed. He would fight you, if that's what was needed to put you on the right path. And he had been respectful of everyone. When Gandhari curses him after the war - that his entire clan will meet a similar fate, he didn't fight her. Even when he tells her that it was the result of her own karma, he was humble & accepted her curse. Only a person who can truly understand someone's pain can do that. He never forgot himself (talking of his personality here) but he was always there for all those who needed him. He gives assurance to you. And you know that once he is with you he is always with you. No doubts on that. He can be the root of your life. And in our own life, if we can't be this person we definitely want someone like him in our corner. Someone who can be our rock & may be in search of such a person, we slowly become that person for others. My favourite character is Shri Krishna. After listening to multiple podcasts of Ami Ganatra over last couple of years, I finally watched Mahabharat on Hotstar as well. And throughout the show there were many points where people just fell in trap of Shakuni and couldn’t defend themselves. But when Krishna arrives, and starts to point out all the wrong things with simply following vachan given by people instead of thinking of right and wrong while following that vachan. And he simply stands his ground to look for larger good for the world instead of just thinking of following some vachan, thinking its dharma. Also when he gives Geeta gyan, that’s incredible learning as well. 🙏🏻 Jai Shri Krishna. 😊

Hello Awara Musafir.... My favourite character in Mahabharat is Ganga Putra Bhishma. He is the perfect example of great son, who sacrificed his own Grihasthashram for his father. He had protected Hastinapur as a civilisation state while keeping his vow intact. He was also the example that if you were so immense for your personal vow, you have to sacrifice so many things, but at the end of your life God also get tears like Shri krishna on his death.....

@@adarshagarwal6815 actually she says this repeatedly that she is not telling anything extra or less which is not there in Mahabharata manuscript... Vedvyas likhit Mahabharata has been taken as base and many have included their creative ideas ... For eg. What BR Chopra's series showed us the whole series in the point of view of TIME... there time was speaking and narrating which is completely a script not what is there in actual manuscript... Even the new series which was in Krishna 's narration... But Ami is not doing this.. she is only saying what the main script has.. I just believe her, again she may be wrong so I'm actually planning to get the manuscript.. because in this podcast she said that nothing about a name Radha is mentioned in the original script.. that really needs a cross check .. but yes again she has never put her own thoughts into both Ramayan and Mahabharat
Arjun from Mahabharata is the one that I love the most! He was the best student among all of his classmates. I do chant his name when I think I'm loosing battle of my life, "Gudakesh, parth, gandivdhaari, vibhatsu, jishnu, mahabahu, Dhananjayaya" it feels like I got an immense strength from his name and story, thinking what kind of fierceness he showed in the battles. The gandharv yudh, virat yudh, panchal yudh, Mahabharata, he fought bravely. He is the one who encourage me to take tha path of spirituality as he was having 4 wives still Krishna chose him for geeta. Cause of him I learned asking a question is not bad thing, may be it can lead to new learnings. He asked the question if I'm able to eat in dark correctly, then why ain't i am able to do archery. He is one of the most humble person, who chose his friend over anything and place him on the place of his teacher when he seeked for knowledge. I can go so on for miles. Bt these are the few reasons how this chracter why this chracter inspires me alot!
My favorite character is Bhishma because his strength of resilience and how he managed to maintain his vow throughout his life that inspires me .Just like Ami mam said "Indriya Nigraha " is main gist of scriptures .That is Bhishma for me.

Draupadi is Shri Krishna is my favourite character of Mahabharat . Draupadi because she have a courage to bear all the humiliation and still she keep her stands for herself , plus she was intellectual lady of her times who use to guide her husbands even Yudhistar whenever he needed , plus her management for indraprastha . And Shri krishna is the best example of a friend and guru , and he was clear about that changes are required in the old dharma . They both were ahead of their times
I like Arjun’s character . He knew his strengths , he knew the right thing to do but he struggled to act upon them . He was vulnerable and consumed by self doubt and emotions just the way each of us is. But what set him apart was ability to be honest about it and learn and grow with Sri Krishna’s mentorship. To fight own demons is toughest fight and he conquered it .
Among all the characters of Mahabharata, my favorite is Debi Draupadi.Before birth, Debi Draupadi was born with a curse but her actions turned that curse into a blessing.Even at that time, as people falsely insulted Debi Draupadi, they are still doing so.Some common lies that most people know to be true... 1) Goddess Draupadi called Karna the son of a thread. 2) There is a battle for Goddess Draupadi.
Wish I was like HER-the extremely graceful woman Draupadi with amazing personality and extraordinary skills .She knew what was right and wrong-giving correct advice to her husbands.She knew her role of fulfilling the responsibilities towards her family and the needs of thousands of people of her clan .Single handedly she controlled the vast treasury and accounts which even her husbands didn’t know .She never forgot the humility and the hardships so she craved for justice which she achieved by the power of her faith in divine-Krishna .Since long she has been my favourite.
My favorite character is Vide Vayas Jinano MAHABHARAT ki rachana ki. Puri tarha se nishpash ho ke puri bat ko itane achhe se maha kavya me samjhaya he jisa se aaj ke jevan me bhi usaka pura upyog ho raha he jisase ham bhi nirnay lene se pehale socha pa rahe he iss liye he is the best
I love Vidur - because despite what ever the situation he never broke from the right way of life and thought. It gives us and instills the thin line between right and wrong. Second person I love is - Shri Krishna himself - considering him just another character - his life teaches us The Choice itself. Third is Draupadi herself - Despite she had to marry all 5 Pandavas which was and is not still a thing in culture anywhere, she managed every relationship and her real braveness to accept any situation in life. Fourth is Arjuna - Striving for excellence and not success. Fifth is Yudhisthir - teaches us contentness in life and being Dharm Parayanta and wisdom. Sixth and the last The Mahabharata itself that teaches us Critical thought process in a human being.

My favourite character from Mahabharat is Draupadi (Krishnaa)... I believe she is one of the most misunderstood character from Mahabharat. For me she is a dignified & fascinating woman who had guts to speak up her mind, who could differentiate between wrong and right... Moreover she is an idol to me in the sense that she used to look after all the management (the accounts) in indraprastha...and वो कहते हैं ना सबको साथ लेकर चलने वाले... Like people say no...सर्व गुण सम्पन्न... that's Draupadi... A strong, fierce, righteous Woman... The most touching or let's say an enlightening प्रसंग of Mahabharat to me is when Draupadi was humiliated in sabha, she asked for help from all the King, elderlys and her husbands, but no one could help; in that circumstance the only one she surrendered to, prayed to was Krishn (परब्रह्म)... Which teaches me that you cannot rely on people, at times not even on your loved ones, the only true relationship you've got is with your इष्ट, the परम शक्ति, परब्रह्म... Moreover, a comment cannot justify to describe who is Draupadi or for that matter any चरित्र of Mahabharat tbh... 🙏🏻
My favourite character in The Mahabharat is Yudhishthir. The main reason for this liking is the unwavering commitment of Yudhishthir for Dharma. He aptly embodies the deliemas and lures that a common man faces in the path of Dharma. To me he is like Ram of Maharashtra minus the saurya and parakram which is embodied by Arjun.
Very informative podcast 👍 For me Vidura ji is one of my favourite character in Mahabharata...he was said to be incarnation of Yama, known for his wisdom, integrity, intellect and selflessness. He was the one who informed Pandavas about lakshagriha...openly protested against draupadi insult in royal court. Shree Krishna too respected him..he also witnessed Virat swarup when Krishna went to negotiate peace with Duryodhan. Later on he suggested Dhritrashtra to retire to forest and also accompanied him, kunti, gandhari and Sanjay.
Vidur...my favourite character....so much wisdom, gives everything to his country, follows his dharma and has no interest in achieving temporary worldly status
In Mahabharat there is everything justice, injustice, love, hate , anger , lust ,greed ,power and etc every kind of human psychology is there but there is someone who is devine blissful Krishn who is the truth surrendering to him is the realisation of bliss he is the one who gave us the real knowledge what should be done or what not , finally my favourite character from Mahabharat is Krishn😊
I am inspired by Bhishm pita mah because of his determination and the way he abide by his words and followed dharma . However, when Lord krishna conveys the msg that rigidity can lead you to commit adharm is a lesson learnt.
I have many fav. Best is Krishna. For so many reasons we all know. But, i would say here My fav is Yudhishtir. Always on the path of Dharma. Great wisdom. Great thinking. Always knows whats right and whats wrong. Pandavas are on the side of Dharma because Yudhistir keeps them on that path always. And thats the core of Mahabharat - Dharma.

My favorite character is Maa Yashoda. Her love is unmatched in purity and is unlike any other that even the infinite Lord who pervades the entire creation is bound by her love. Her love is so great that she thought she could catch and bind the Lord of the infinite universe. Even the preserver of the entire creation was bound by the ropes of her love. The Lord who's mere Darshan takes great penance, has a bath in her lap and holds her legs out of fear. She had bestowed the powers to punish the Supreme. Her love for her son (Vatsalya prem) evolves into devotion of a mother (Vatsalya bhakti). All these words combined are not able to describe the amount of selfless and pure love she has given Shri Krishna. Her love is revered and cherished in Hindu mythology for its unparalleled devotion and selflessness, demonstrating the divine bond between a mother and her child. Through her actions and emotions, she epitomizes the essence of maternal love and devotion, which transcends all boundaries and encompasses the entire universe.

My favorite character in mahabhart is mata Draupadi, because I resonate with her character the most and this is something I picked in my life when I was only 4 when my mother told me the story of mahabharat and she even now mentions that I instantly picked her as my favorite. I love draupadi the most because everyone think that she is compulsive, arrogant and angry everytime but what I always learnt from her is even when she was in her most traumatic experiences she never picked wrong decision, she never blamed somebody for whatever had happened with her, she always stand with and by dharm of course being the yagnasaini she was she had that temperament sometimes but she never did wrong by that also never ever did adharm no matter what people around her pressured on her. She is my role model and of course with the gyan shri krishn gave her and the pandavas. Along with that her small conversation with pandavas collectively or individualy where she gave her wisdom and the way they all were awestruck with the wit and intelligence is something have my heart. keeping that in mind I always try to follow her path and consider shri krishna my sakha and believes that he is always by my side and keeping me upto dharm ♥

Shri Krishna :- इस बात को अलग कर दें कि वे भगवान थे तो वो बहुत ज्ञानी, निती कौशल मे माहिर थे. खास द्रौपदी चीर हरण के समय जब भीष्म, विदुर और युधिष्ठिर जैसे धर्मज्ञाता उस अन्याय में चुप रहे सिर्फ अपने राज धर्म का पालन करने के लिए, कृष्ण ने द्रौपदी की रक्षा की और धर्म का सही रीति में पालन किया. सिर्फ कृष्ण ने ही सही रूप में धर्म और सत्य की हमेशा रक्षा की है और इसीलिए वे मेरे लिए महान हैं. 2. Shakuni :- नियमों धर्म को जान कर और उनमें छुपी खामियों से उसने एसी परिस्थिति बनायी की सामने भगवान के होते हुए भी उसने अपनी बहन का बदला पुरे "कुरु" कुल को खत्म कर के लिया. देखा जाय तो कृष्ण के सामने कोई था जो उतना ज्ञानी (कपटी) जिसने खुद भगवान को भी इस युद्ध को रोकने में नाकाम कर दिया तो वो सिर्फ शकुनी था. आज जो "Low & order" वक़ालत पढ़ते हैं उनके लिए मेरे हिसाब से 1 बार शकुनी को जरूर पढ़ना चाहिए. आज के नीति नियम जो हमे कई जगहों पे बाँध देते हैं उनको अपने और अपने देश के हित में केसे उपयोग कर सकते हैं वो शकुनी से ही सीख सकते हैं. My favourite character is vedvyaas ji because it is said that the mahabharat is written by maha rishi vedvyaas Now questioning the fact that did mahabharat really happen? Then this is the imagination of vedvyaas ji and what an imagination, what a story and what a story teller. To write this in the times it was written it's magnificent. Ek katha joh jeevan jeena sikha deti hai, joh life ke happiness and struggles dono se deal karna sikhati hai. My favourite corrector is Arjun, becouse there is a special attachment with him. Also a big reason is how to he see Shree Krishna some time as a friend and guru according to situation.
My favourite character in Mahabharat is Vikarna a true Kshatriya who criticised his brothers when they were wrong and like Arjuna before Krishna gyan stand with the kshtriya dharm of kul dharm that is not stand against his own kulla if he had Krishna’s grace vikarna would have stepped out of the war, even bhim cried after killing a fine men like him. My favorite is Krishna Dvaipayana or Vyas ji for having written this epic. Who is not just an author but also a part of the story. 1. How smart should he be to understand the smartness of all the amazing people like Bhisma, Krishna, Vidhur etc. 2. How big hearted he must be to he write their story for us in a way that is ETERNALLY relevant Lots for gratitude for him!
I like Arjuna very much in Mahabharat, because he was very powerful and a great Yogi by himself but still revers the pure knowledge all the time and hence he was liked by स्वयं भगवान।। Otherwise there is no way he could have seen Biswaroop in Mahabharat।

But from Karna's POV, he was not committing adharma, he was just protecting his friend and his vow given to Duryodhan , when he was coronated as Angaraj.
Even after knowing that he is the eldest son of Kunti, he didn't accepted Krishna's tempting offer of getting the throne.

My favourite character is Vidhur other than Krishna, I can't say much about him but jinke Ghar ka saag khane k liye Krishna ne duryodhan ka invitation bhi mana kar Diya. Obviously he is special character having super knowledge and bhakti.
Lord Krishna is my favourite character. The reason is that he taught us how to lead a practical life while simultaneously remaining on right course.
The problem is many people learn Mahabharat by watching tv serials .Tv serials create divide and add more masala for trp purposes
My favorite character is Arjuna, Actually I started reading original Mahabharat, when I saw short clip of mam's video. That inspired me to do actual verification. Also recently, I have bought Ramayana books from Geeta Press Gorakhpur. Arjun and other Pandeva's were strong enough to kill every one, even though they suffered the pain, because they were nurtured in that way. During his exile period of 12 years, he could have also spend the time in food, enjoy, killing animals, funs but instead of that, he improved his war skill. He went to Swarga, collected divine weapon from all gods. This is a learning for us, in our tough time, we should not get depressed, instead we should think for improving skills and make our self stronger than our competitor. Now I am reading 3rd Volume. I have also decided to learn sanskrit language for further reading of our vedic literature.

Draupadi can rightfully be described as ‘Beauty with Brains’. I love how Her soft feminine nature enhances her Kshtrani behaviour. She is like a guide to the women of our generation. The way she was the pillar of Pandavas and the way she used to look after accounts and the little things of everyone’s needs leaves you in awe. I’m clearly a fan!
Draupadi clearly is the epitome of marvellous beauty and flamboyant intellect. I’m currently in 12th grade and I was as it is going to buy all the 3 copies by Ami Ganatra Ma’am after my exams but when i got to know i equally have a chance to win those three copies which is signed by ma’am herself, i’m so excited! i’m glad i came across this podcast, i’ve been listening to her podcasts and the way she explains each and every ‘prasang’ in detail with such ease is mind blowing. i definitely am going to buy these copies even if i don’t win this giveaway. Huge respect for ma’am and thanks to this amazing youtube channel to bring up such topics for the generation like mine, clearly needs to get these teachings.
Draupadi was a daughter, a wife, a friend, a mother and she has played all the roles with such perfection throughout her lifetime that it is such a shame that today’s generation doesn’t look at her with the original lense. Mad respect for her character and her behaviour as despite going through the worst form of ‘Apamaan’ for a ‘Stree’, she upheld and raised the standards of women in such an explicit and flawless manner. I am fortunate to have worked on the same floor as hers, at Infosys Pune in the year 2004. Though we didn't work together, we worked for the same client and was delighted to overhear her conversations. She has a positive aura which can only be felt when you are around her. Later I came to know that she has left for IIMA. 20 years later, I am so glad to have rediscovered her this way!

My favourite character of Mahabharat is Draupadi. After listening to podcasts of Ami Ganatra I realised the contribution of Draupadi in keeping the brothers together and how she takes care of the palace responsibilities etc. Great, graceful and strong character.
Vidhur is my favorite character, The reason is that he has clarity of thought, he is humble and alway side with the morally correct position. I love reading Ami's books. I live in USA , visited India in Feb and bought her RamYn and Mahabharat unravelled. Would love to read other of her writings

I like Abhimanyu , because he didn't know how to get out of the chakravyuh, still then, he entered it and battled with all the warriors till his last breath.

My favorite character is Arjun in Mahabharat. I am a student who is studying in 10th class. whenever I am demotivated I think about Arjun and I get a lot of motivation. I try to imbibe all the characteristics he had like:
1. HE WAS SO GROUNDED - being world's biggest worrier he had the humility to surrender to lord Krishna even when they were the same in age and he acquired gyan of Gita.
2. HIS FOCUS -I learnedd from him that practice is the key to everything you want to achieve . due to his focus and dedication he was able to achieve everything he aspired to.
3.HE RESPECTED - as he aspired to be the best archer in the world he completely surrendered to his guru dronacharya everything he said was an order for him.
4. AN ULTIMATE HUMAN MIND - Bheema had a few anger issues and Yudishtra never lied this was something that Duryodhan took advantage of in Mahabharat but Arjun had no boundaries for lack of better words . he was dedicated and mainly the checkrein of his mind was under his control. HE WAS UNSTOPPABLE BECAUSE OF HIS FOCUS.
Arjun would be my inspiration for life.

It might seem quite obvious, because he is the bhagwan swaroop. But for me he comes as a lens of dharma. He allows us to look at situations through the lens of duty, compassion & righteousness. He is the one who throughout teaches us to aspire to be better. He comes as a man of principles and he sticks by those, no matter what. He depicts courage in doing so. He is an ideal friend - someone whom you can blindly trust as well as someone who will stand by you & help you through your situation. If we remove the part that he comes on Bhoolok to establish dharma, we can see him as a man who stood by his family/friends, someone who supports the right thing, someone who was always willing to avoid fights or wars until extremely necessary. He always had presence of mind and found ways that would be clever to help a situation. He was a man of his words. He was kind & forgiving. Whoever submitted to him in friendship, he was their friend through & through. He was considerate & gentle. And even at his own personal cost, he was always ready to do the right thing. He would sacrifice himself for you, if needed. He would fight you, if that's what was needed to put you on the right path. And he had been respectful of everyone. When Gandhari curses him after the war - that his entire clan will meet a similar fate, he didn't fight her. Even when he tells her that it was the result of her own karma, he was humble & accepted her curse. Only a person who can truly understand someone's pain can do that. He never forgot himself (talking of his personality here) but he was always there for all those who needed him. He gives assurance to you. And you know that once he is with you he is always with you. No doubts on that. He can be the root of your life.
And in our own life, if we can't be this person we definitely want someone like him in our corner. Someone who can be our rock & may be in search of such a person, we slowly become that person for others. He is the one who inspires me to be compassionate, considerate, courageous & disciplined in life.

My favourite character is Shri Krishna. After listening to multiple podcasts of Ami Ganatra over last couple of years, I finally watched Mahabharat on Hotstar as well. And throughout the show there were many points where people just fell in trap of Shakuni and couldn’t defend themselves. But when Krishna arrives, and starts to point out all the wrong things with simply following vachan given by people instead of thinking of right and wrong while following that vachan. And he simply stands his ground to look for larger good for the world instead of just thinking of following some vachan, thinking its dharma. Also when he gives Geeta gyan, that’s incredible learning as well. 🙏🏻 Jai Shri Krishna. 😊

He had protected Hastinapur as a civilisation state while keeping his vow intact. He was also the example that if you were so immense for your personal vow, you have to sacrifice so many things, but at the end of your life God also get tears like Shri krishna on his death.....

Vedvyas likhit Mahabharata has been taken as base and many have included their creative ideas ... For eg. What BR Chopra's series showed us the whole series in the point of view of TIME... there time was speaking and narrating which is completely a script not what is there in actual manuscript... Even the new series which was in Krishna 's narration... But Ami is not doing this.. she is only saying what the main script has.. I just believe her, again she may be wrong so I'm actually planning to get the manuscript.. because in this podcast she said that nothing about a name Radha is mentioned in the original script.. that really needs a cross check .. but yes again she has never put her own thoughts into both Ramayan and Mahabharat
Arjun from Mahabharata is the one that I love the most!
He was the best student among all of his classmates. I do chant his name when I think I'm loosing battle of my life, "Gudakesh, parth, gandivdhaari, vibhatsu, jishnu, mahabahu, Dhananjayaya" it feels like I got an immense strength from his name and story, thinking what kind of fierceness he showed in the battles. The gandharv yudh, virat yudh, panchal yudh, Mahabharata, he fought bravely. He is the one who encourage me to take tha path of spirituality as he was having 4 wives still Krishna chose him for geeta. Cause of him I learned asking a question is not bad thing, may be it can lead to new learnings. He asked the question if I'm able to eat in dark correctly, then why ain't i am able to do archery.
He is one of the most humble person, who chose his friend over anything and place him on the place of his teacher when he seeked for knowledge. I can go so on for miles. Bt these are the few reasons how this chracter why this chracter inspires me alot!

I like Arjun’s character . He knew his strengths , he knew the right thing to do but he struggled to act upon them . He was vulnerable and consumed by self doubt and emotions just the way each of us is. But what set him apart was ability to be honest about it and learn and grow with Sri Krishna’s mentorship. To fight own demons is toughest fight and he conquered it .

I love Vidur - because despite what ever the situation he never broke from the right way of life and thought. It gives us and instills the thin line between right and wrong.
Second person I love is - Shri Krishna himself - considering him just another character - his life teaches us The Choice itself.
Third is Draupadi herself - Despite she had to marry all 5 Pandavas which was and is not still a thing in culture anywhere, she managed every relationship and her real braveness to accept any situation in life.
Fourth is Arjuna - Striving for excellence and not success.
Fifth is Yudhisthir - teaches us contentness in life and being Dharm Parayanta and wisdom.
Sixth and the last The Mahabharata itself that teaches us Critical thought process in a human being.

I believe she is one of the most misunderstood character from Mahabharat. For me she is a dignified & fascinating woman who had guts to speak up her mind, who could differentiate between wrong and right...
Moreover she is an idol to me in the sense that she used to look after all the management (the accounts) in indraprastha...and वो कहते हैं ना सबको साथ लेकर चलने वाले...

The most touching or let's say an enlightening प्रसंग of Mahabharat to me is when Draupadi was humiliated in sabha, she asked for help from all the King, elderlys and her husbands, but no one could help; in that circumstance the only one she surrendered to, prayed to was Krishn (परब्रह्म)...
Which teaches me that you cannot rely on people, at times not even on your loved ones, the only true relationship you've got is with your इष्ट, the परम शक्ति, परब्रह्म...
Moreover, a comment cannot justify to describe who is Draupadi or for that matter any चरित्र of Mahabharat tbh...

My favourite character in The Mahabharat is Yudhishthir.
The main reason for this liking is the unwavering commitment of Yudhishthir for Dharma. He aptly embodies the deliemas and lures that a common man faces in the path of Dharma.
To me he is like Ram of Maharashtra minus the saurya and parakram which is embodied by Arjun.

For me Vidura ji is one of my favourite character in Mahabharata...he was said to be incarnation of Yama, known for his wisdom, integrity, intellect and selflessness. He was the one who informed Pandavas about lakshagriha...openly protested against draupadi insult in royal court. Shree Krishna too respected him..he also witnessed Virat swarup when Krishna went to negotiate peace with Duryodhan. Later on he suggested Dhritrashtra to retire to forest and also accompanied him, kunti, gandhari and Sanjay.
Vidur...my favourite character....so much wisdom, gives everything to his country, follows his dharma and has no interest in achieving temporary worldly status

Arjun, the best charecter in Ma habharat epic, conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna create this epic, as a human being always be a disiaple.
I have many fav. Best is Krishna. For so many reasons we all know. But, i would say here My fav is Yudhishtir. Always on the path of Dharma. Great wisdom. Great thinking. Always knows whats right and whats wrong. Pandavas are on the side of Dharma because Yudhistir keeps them on that path always. And thats the core of Mahabharat - Dharma.

My favorite character is Maa Yashoda. Her love is unmatched in purity and is unlike any other that even the infinite Lord who pervades the entire creation is bound by her love.
Her love is so great that she thought she could catch and bind the Lord of the infinite universe.
Even the preserver of the entire creation was bound by the ropes of her love.
The Lord who's mere Darshan takes great penance, has a bath in her lap and holds her legs out of fear.
She had bestowed the powers to punish the Supreme.
Her love for her son (Vatsalya prem) evolves into devotion of a mother (Vatsalya bhakti).
All these words combined are not able to describe the amount of selfless and pure love she has given Shri Krishna.
Her love is revered and cherished in Hindu mythology for its unparalleled devotion and selflessness, demonstrating the divine bond between a mother and her child. Through her actions and emotions, she epitomizes the essence of maternal love and devotion, which transcends all boundaries and encompasses the entire universe.

Of course Shree Krishna; but Krishna is beyond everything and comparison.So Draupadi is my most favourite character. Inspite of difficult circumstances she stood by herself and she didn't hesitate to ask questions to elders like Bhishmacharya,Dhritrashtra.She was strong woman
My favorite character in mahabhart is mata Draupadi, because I resonate with her character the most and this is something I picked in my life when I was only 4 when my mother told me the story of mahabharat and she even now mentions that I instantly picked her as my favorite.
I love draupadi the most because everyone think that she is compulsive, arrogant and angry everytime but what I always learnt from her is even when she was in her most traumatic experiences she never picked wrong decision, she never blamed somebody for whatever had happened with her, she always stand with and by dharm of course being the yagnasaini she was she had that temperament sometimes but she never did wrong by that also never ever did adharm no matter what people around her pressured on her.
She is my role model and of course with the gyan shri krishn gave her and the pandavas. Along with that her small conversation with pandavas collectively or individualy where she gave her wisdom and the way they all were awestruck with the wit and intelligence is something have my heart. keeping that in mind I always try to follow her path and consider shri krishna my sakha and believes that he is always by my side and keeping me upto dharm ♥

Firstly, thanks a lot for this great knowledge and words of wisdom that you both are sharing "Ami mam" & "Jayesh ji".
My 3 fav characters from mahabharat are 1. Shri Krishna 2. Arjun 3. Shakuni
1. Shri Krishna :- इस बात को अलग कर दें कि वे भगवान थे तो वो बहुत ज्ञानी, निती कौशल मे माहिर थे. खास द्रौपदी चीर हरण के समय जब भीष्म, विदुर और युधिष्ठिर जैसे धर्मज्ञाता उस अन्याय में चुप रहे सिर्फ अपने राज धर्म का पालन करने के लिए, कृष्ण ने द्रौपदी की रक्षा की और धर्म का सही रीति में पालन किया. सिर्फ कृष्ण ने ही सही रूप में धर्म और सत्य की हमेशा रक्षा की है और इसीलिए वे मेरे लिए महान हैं.
2. Arjun :- वो हमेशा से उत्तम शिष्य था और ज्ञान पाने के लिए उसका समर्पण, धैर्य और अनुशासन मुझे सबसे अच्छा लगता है और इसी गुण की वजहों से श्री कृष्ण ने भी उसे निमित्त बना कर गीता का ये ज्ञान दुनिया को दिया. क्यूंकि अर्जुन ने सही प्रश्न पूछे उसी की वज़ह से हमे "गीता" का अद्भुत ज्ञान मिला. अगर अर्जुन ने वो सारे सही प्रश्न नहीं पूछे होते तो आज हम इस अमूल्य ज्ञान से दूर रहते. सभी पांडवों में सिर्फ उसे ही सबसे ज्यादा शस्त्र और कलाओं का ज्ञान था. उसके जेसे हम भी अगर आज सीखने में समर्पण ले आए तो हम जीवन में बहुत आगे बढ़ सकते हैं. ( Ye baat mujhe Jayesh ji aapki bhi bahut achhi lagti he ki aapke har podcast me aap bahut hi achhe sawaal puchhate hai aur bahut shanti se guest ke jawaab sunte hain jisse hame itna achha knowledge mil pata he. 3. Shakuni :- नियमों धर्म को जान कर और उनमें छुपी खामियों से उसने एसी परिस्थिति बनायी की सामने भगवान के होते हुए भी उसने अपनी बहन का बदला पुरे "कुरु" कुल को खत्म कर के लिया. देखा जाय तो कृष्ण के सामने कोई था जो उतना ज्ञानी (कपटी) जिसने खुद भगवान को भी इस युद्ध को रोकने में नाकाम कर दिया तो वो सिर्फ शकुनी था. आज जो "Low & order" वक़ालत पढ़ते हैं उनके लिए मेरे हिसाब से 1 बार शकुनी को जरूर पढ़ना चाहिए. आज के नीति नियम जो हमे कई जगहों पे बाँध देते हैं उनको अपने और अपने देश के हित में केसे उपयोग कर सकते हैं वो शकुनी से ही सीख सकते हैं.
And mujhe "Ami mam" se sikhne ki aur unke under kaam karne ki bhi ichha he. To please agar esi koi opportunity he ya unse kisi tarah contact kar sakta hu to please bataiyega. Thank you both 🙏🏻

My favourite Mahabharat character is shree krishna..Geeta Saar given by him is the most relevant knowledge about life and karma one can find. Bina ek shastra uthaye unhone yudha mein ek mahtvapurna bhumika nibhayi hai.
My favourite character is vedvyaas ji because it is said that the mahabharat is written by maha rishi vedvyaas
Now questioning the fact that did mahabharat really happen? Then this is the imagination of vedvyaas ji and what an imagination, what a story and what a story teller. To write this in the times it was written it's magnificent. Ek katha joh jeevan jeena sikha deti hai, joh life ke happiness and struggles dono se deal karna sikhati hai.
And if this is not an imagination and mahabharat happened for real then also to put it up for us that the generations learn and listen about is the greatest deed of vedvyaas ji

My favourite character in Mahabharat is Vikarna a true Kshatriya who criticised his brothers when they were wrong and like Arjuna before Krishna gyan stand with the kshtriya dharm of kul dharm that is not stand against his own kulla if he had Krishna’s grace vikarna would have stepped out of the war, even bhim cried after killing a fine men like him.
Another fav is yuyutsu as he chooses dharma every time ❤

My favorite is Krishna Dvaipayana or Vyas ji for having written this epic. Who is not just an author but also a part of the story.
1. How smart should he be to understand the smartness of all the amazing people like Bhisma, Krishna, Vidhur etc.
2. How big hearted he must be to he write their story for us in a way that is ETERNALLY relevant

I like Arjuna very much in Mahabharat, because he was very powerful and a great Yogi by himself but still revers the pure knowledge all the time and hence he was liked by स्वयं भगवान।। Otherwise there is no way he could have seen Biswaroop in Mahabharat।

He comments, “The sage Śukadeva Gosvāmī has tried with all endeavor to keep Her name hidden, but now it automatically shines forth from the moon of his mouth. That he has spoken Her name is indeed Her mercy, and thus the word ārādhitaḥ is like the rumbling of a kettledrum sounded to announce Her great good fortune.”
