Dented case mouths are usually a symptom of being over gassed. The best way to correct this is with an adjustable gas block. Getting the correct gas flow will also save your rifle parts from a lot of unnecessary wear such as your BCG, buffer and buffer spring.
I have one and it doesn’t help with mine. I’ve adjusted it down and it still eats up brass. I’ve adjusted to point of failure on locking back on empty and it still was dinging it up. Just the bcg more than likely
I have the same Aero upper, same issue, just cycling the bcg by hand with a sized piece of brass crushes the neck, this over gassing theory does not apply. I am already running an adjustable gas block anyway. I had used just velcro but it wasn't enough, I'll add tape
My brass does the same exact thing. Thank you so much.
Look up Deflector Brake by Havoc Tactical

Theyre now $25 for a pack of 4 and theyre just foam.
I'm curious how plastidip or liquid electrical tape would work
Why not just get an adjustable gas block?
Ive never ran suppressed to want to use one, but if it saves brass then might be worth it
