Really resonated with the part on taking breaks, recently gotten very frustrated after seemingly breaking through a skill barrier only to lose 150 points by a week later😂. So much of this is burnout I feel, Gunna take an extended break now.

The breaks point resonated with me too because, as much as I enjoy learning more about how to play Zangief (and Potemkin in Strive) better, I need to just shut down my brain sometimes. I know people like to joke about grapplers having one brain cell, but I'm putting it to work, damn it!
@siberianlab I laughed when you mentioned Inquisition because I'm going through that now before Veilguard comes out since I never did the DLC.

@@SiberianLabIn case you're not out of the Hinterlands yet, I feel I should mention that it's ok to do so pretty early on. I know a lot of people stuck around in them a long time near release

You are right about playing when feeling good.
I now play casual matches first to see how I feel before jumping to ranking.
Some days I can see I am playing like shit so do not even try ranking as I already know I will lose most of my games.

ElChakotay trains and runs sets with people in his chat for free, which is another reason he's one of my favourite players. Appreciate all the training content you've put out here, you deserve many more subscribers!

It was sort of briefly touched on in a very very round about way but just to make sure everyone's on the same page.
TAKE BREAKS! Please friends. I've watched people who are normally quite reasonable go from annoyed to fuming to completely off the tracks off a few bad matches. And everyone has a limit. Don't pretend you're untouchable and a stoic pillar of calm.
You're gonna watch that ken DP on wakeup a 12th time in the set in a row and you'll have thought "there's no way he's gonna do it AGAIN after getting punished four times, right?" but sure enough the flowchart hath spoken and so you've been killed by a wild dp. It happens. Take a break after that. Get a snack, take a nap, hug your dog. Whatever you gotta do. Raising your blood pressure won't do your health any good and it certainly won't do your gameplay any good.
tldr; if it isn't fun just stop for a bit.

I feel like if I spend too much time in training practicing i actually causes me to “burn out” no pun intended, from the game if I spend too much time there.

Maybe you need to have clear goals when jumping to into training. It can produce that if you repeat something too much. It helps, but only if you have something to check.
