Thank you! I knew that it was getting close but I didn't actually know that landing was it. I'm glad that the landing was pretty good. It'd be a bit anticlimactic if I ended up with a real thunker for 1000. I suspect if I'd known this was my 1000th I'd have put too much pressure on myself to make it a good one and it wouldn't have been as nice. Thanks again for the encouragement.
I’m now incredibly curious how many landings I have. My digital logbook doesn’t really have a way to total them up surprisingly. Those days where we spend an hour or two just working in the pattern and bust out 20-30 landings or whatever probably add up over the years.
Hey @piperarrowpilot, I hope you're doing well! There are a few pilots who I know who started roughly around the time I started. And some who have about double my hours. I have a *LOT* of landings compared to most pilots at my hours. In fact, the guy who I went to Atlanta to see do his 1000th landing in this video: ua-cam.com/video/aT1yFimIo4w/v-deo.html He has basically double my hours. I honestly have no idea why I have so many more landings than the average of the people I know.
Not to throw stones, I do the exact same thing, but that was floaty. I am in the habit of coming in at 90+ in Cherokees, I have a buddy who flies it like the book says (78 MPH on final) and he gets much better landings than me. :) Again, NOT throwing stones. I enjoy your videos.
@@1dullgeek I would compare it to this one: ua-cam.com/video/c42mOO7h23A/v-deo.html 20 MPH difference on short final. Really enjoying your videos, please don't take my comments the wrong way.
@@IslandSimPilot I actually prefer the landing in this video to the one in the gas video. Because I felt like in this video I did a good job of holding off the landing and keeping the nose up. But looking at it you're right that my speeds were pretty high.
Congratulations my friend! That's a HUGE accomplishment, and it looks like it was a great landing!

Perfect landing and congratulations!!!
Thank you!
Nicely done, sir. Congrats on such a huge milestone in your pilot journey. Might wanna clean the butter off the bottom of your plane, though.
Thanks! And LOL.
First of many thousands I'm sure! Congrats!

I don't think it was but you are of course welcome to your opinion.

@@IslandSimPilot I see what you're saying. And I'm not offended.
@@1dullgeek I notice it because it's literally exactly what I do.
