I’ve been doing EXTENSIVE research on picking new Evans heads. I looked at Black Chrome, Onyx, G2 Coated, EC2, Hydraulics, and everything in between. As a gigging drummer, nothing beats longevity and worry free tuning/playing. I had Hydraulics a while back and they sound good but don’t last long durability wise. I decided I wanted a louder and warmer sound for hard rock songs I play. This video sold me on the UV2s. They’re coated for warmth, the coating lasts FOREVER, they sound amazing, and easy to tune. They cost a couple more bucks than normal heads but they’ll most definitely be worth it in the long run. My only complaint is that they don’t make UV2s or even UV1s in RotoTom sizes. I’d love a full suite of them but they don’t make a 6” UV1 or UV2. I might look into the G2 Coated for the Rotos.
Thanks for the video
Best head I ever put on any of my kits..EVANS #1
A game changer for real! I am now going to add them to a couple of my other kits now

That's awesome to hear man! Glad I could help. I'm super happy with them!
Hey Zack, I am the same way on how to tune my toms
That's why you're a good man! 👍
