COPENHAGEN AIRPORT Departure Process - Check-in, Departure and an Airport Tour

- We are at Copenhagen Airport in Denmark, also called Copenhagen International Airport or in Danish, Københavns Lufthavn. The Airport Code for Copenhagen Airport is CPH. In this video we show you how to, and what it is like, to depart from Copenhagen Airport on an International Flight to a Non-Schengen country. Our flight is with Qatar Airways from Copenhagen Airport to Qatar´s Doha Airport called Hamad International Airport.
In this video we will show you the entire Departure Process at Copenhagen Airport and we will take you on a Tour of Copenhagen Airport all the way to our Departure Gate for our Qatar Airways Flight. This video begins where we have just arrived at Copenhagen Airport with the Copenhagen Metro. We arrive in Copenhagen Airport´s Terminal 3 and from there we take the walk to Terminal 2. Copenhagen Airport´s Terminal 3 is reserved for SAS, Scandinavian Airlines Flight Check-ins and one or two other Star Alliance Member Airline Check-ins such as Thai Airways. Once we arrive at Terminal 2 we fin the Check-in Desks and Check-in for our flight with Qatar Airways. Our Luggage is also dropped off at the Check-in and it is Checked-in all the way to our final destination (we have a connection flight from Doha to Penang). After Check-in we proceed upstairs through Airport Security (not shown in the video). After passing through Airport Security we make our way through the big Duty Free Shopping Area. Our first priority is to see what planes are out on the Apron and we then make our way down to our Bank to Exchange money. Copenhagen Airport has a few Money Exchange Bureaus located around the Airport Terminals. One we have exchanged money we make our way to one of the Copenhagen Airport Lounges where we spend a few hours. Copenhagen Airport has 3 paid access airport lounges and you can choose between the Eventyr Lounge, the Apartment Lounge and the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge. Once we have spent a few hours at the Copenhagen Airport Lounge we chose it is time to make our way to our Departure Gate for our Qatar Airways Flight to Doha. We take you on the walk through the airport up until the Immigration, Passport Control Area (not shown in the video). Once we have passed through Immigration we take you on a walk all the way to our Gate Lounge where you can see our waiting Qatar Airways Boeing 777. It is the largest airport in the Nordic countries with 30 million passengers in 2018 and one of the oldest international airports in Europe. It is the third-busiest airport in Northern Europe, and the busiest for international travel in Scandinavia... The airport is the main hub out of three used by Scandinavian Airlines and is also an operating base for Sunclass Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle. Copenhagen Airport handles around 60 scheduled airlines, and has a maximum operation capability of 83 operations/hour, and a total of 108 jet bridges and remote parking stands. Unlike other Scandinavian airports, most of the airport's passengers are international.."

Always happy to hear that you enjoyed it. We hope to have Part 2 ready for the weekend (the flight). It will be an interesting video as we were testing a new camera and dual microphones. Unfortunately the microphones failed in parts of the window, so it is a challenge how to stitch this one together, let´s see how it turns out! Things are starting to loosen up, but it will be awhile before travel starts up properly. We just had our yearly flight to Koh Samui cancelled, there is no space in the aircraft from Bangkok to Samui. There are only two flights per day on an ATR 72 with a seat capacity of 70ísh on each flight. We have a VERY SPECIAL trip booked for the end of this year, hopefully we will be able to travel then ;-) Have a good day!

I have credit of £1300 with tui for a cancelled trip last week . Plus I have flights and hotel booked paid for in September again another week in Spain . Spent all the money and had nothing lol but next March for my 50th in KL now that should happen 👍
We can understand your desperation, we feel the same way HeHe! It will however probably be awhile before we move in any travel direction, as near term travel hardly sounds worthwhile neither flying nor conditions at destinations. Great video. I will be coming to Copenhagen in October 2022 (all being well) and will be taking a cruise to the Baltics including Helsinki. So getting to see both of your beautiful capital cities, although I have actually flown from Helsinki airport! Planning to spend a night on before the cruise and 2 nights after so if you can recommend a good value hotel that is pretty central I would be grateful. Hi there Philip, thanks for watching our video and for sharing your exciting travel plans with us, a cruise in the Baltics sounds fantastic. Recommending a hotel in Copenhagen or Helsinki is difficult for us as we have not stayed in any as we live in Copenhagen and have family in Helsinki. We would highly recommend that you search for a hotel on one of the online hotel booking sights and when you find something that matches you budget, check on Tripadvisor to see what other travelers say about a hotel. Our rule of thumb on Tripadvisor is that a hotel has to have more than 1000 reviews for us to trust the rating ;-) Hope this information helps :-D

Your video does remind me about my transit in CPH airport few years ago. Hell, i knew Denmark is an expensive country without actually getting inside of it. A glance at the airport is enough. My godness, a water bottle costs 4euro :))

We find airport prices at Copenhagen Airport and at most other airports to be overpriced. The airport in Europe which we have experienced with reasonable prices is Frankfurt Airport. Hello, I am an exchange student and unfortunately I am leaving Copenhagen and going back to the Brazilian chaos. I would like to ask two questions, as I have little experience with travel, coming to Denmark was my first international flight (airports are not such a common place for me).
1) Could you please explain to me if check-in to put the identification tag in the bag, can I do it in the lobby or do I have to do it in the specific terminal of my flight?
2) Has the airport been full even with the pandemic? How many hours in advance do you think I better be at the airport?

Husker ikke så godt men CPH har fået en ordentlig overhaling de sidste 3 år. Men det mest spændende/uhyggelige er hvordan flybranchen har det i fremtiden.
