Thank you so much for this, after having turned 18, I’m now going to visit my partner who lives in a different country. I’m going alone and I’m terrified lmfao
Thank you for this tutorial One thing about liquids and specifically perfumes, they must have a cap over the push down button. One reason is that during the transit from conveyor to plane and back home there's a lot of times it bumps and throwing involved. As cap wills prole vent accidental spraying. If you want to sent a nice scent gift and you pick it up at half capacity either the small plastic tube was twisted and broken and it's leaking, or repeated squirt during all the time caused it to go. Speaking from experience :(
Something I suggest if you are young (in teens) traveling alone is to dress slightly older than your age. If you look more adult you blend in more, but if you are obviously child looking it makes you more susceptible to creepy people, singling you out.
thanks so much i’m flying alone in a few weeks moving out and moving in with my partner and i’ve never navigated the airport alone so i’m scared but yeah !!!
Thank you for the tips lovely!!! This is so helpful!! Just a question - wiith cameras & camera batteries do we need to take those out with our laptop and put on the tray? Also laptop/phone chargers?
Hi! Great question! I would say it’s usually just laptops and then sometimes they also say battery power banks. Very rarely have they asked me to do every single electronic (like a camera battery) minus maybe a couple random flights. I would say pack it all in once place so it’s easy to get out of your bag and then the security person will usually be telling people what they want out!

Hi. Thanks for all your tips. We are traveling to the Philippines in 2 months; do you have any tips for handicapped travelers? My husband needs wc or mobility scooter to get around. Your response is greatly app. Thank you.
Hello! Wow Philippines in the spring will be so wonderful!! My friends are going in May! I would say try to call ahead at the places you can and they will likely help you a lot! Like airports and tours etc. 🤗 then the rest really depends on what you are going to be doing and where you are going :D I would say the cobblestone in older places like Europe for example are much harder to manage than regular flat floor too 😅. I work a lot in the clinic with wheelchairs and that is what I recommend!
I checked for the airport map on the airline app I'm flying to. I always bring my refillable water bottle❤ I try to explain to my daughter how the gates, and terminals work but she doesn’t understand. This is going to be very helpful! Thank you 😊
I’m a mom (43) but have only flown 1x before but had my husband to do all the work. Now I’m having to fly with daughter. I’m really nervous/insecure. Is this normal for a parent? Also I love this lady’s video!
I haven’t flown in 28 years. This was very helpful!! When going through security, do I have to take my laptop out of the case along with all my chargers (laptop, kindle, phone) or can I keep everything in their zipper cases when putting them into the bin? Also, is there usually an area where you can organize your stuff after going through the scanners so as to not hold up the line? 😬
Another question, sorry!! You said that if they think anything is weird in your luggage they would open it up, that means we should not use those locks the luggage come with, right? Would the people at the security ruin your luggage if you have a lock on?
The security people have a very special key! They can open up the TSA approved locks which usually have a tiny hole on the bottom! 😃 So as long as your lock is tsa approved, you will be fine 🤗
So I'm taking a cross country flight next month that is going to be roughly four and a half hours. It's not the first flight that I've ever taken, but it is the first one that I've taken in about fourteen years, so I'm a bit lost. I've read that neck pillows don't count as your carry on or personal item. Is this accurate? Also, can you take a neck pillow and a lumbar pillow? I have pretty severe chronic pain and understand that flying in the main cabin (not sure if this is any different from economy) isn't the most comfortable, even for healthy people. If need be, would getting a note from my doctor help make things easier? I'm taking a Delta flight for reference.
Hi Ben! Some airlines are different. Some want you to have your pillow inside your personal item or carry on. If you have the puffy ring one and can’t fit it inside your personal item or carry on, I recommend just wearing it on your neck as you pass the boarding people to get on the plane. I’ve never seen anyone tell a passenger to take it off. You just have to pass the people that scan your boarding ticket then you can take it off your neck lol. It’s very common for people to bring pillows but I always take the extra step to wear it just in case the scanning people are in a mood lol. Sometimes you can hook it onto your luggage handle but I’ve seen some airlines tell you to put it in your bags hence that’s why you can wear it. I use the trtl pillow because it’s very small. amzn.to/45eotba Also I recommend using a sweatshirt for lumbar pillow. And sometimes international flights will provide one. Here is a video I think will help you ua-cam.com/video/V9YMcGoQjZw/v-deo.htmlsi=bqidLn6r-7cmDdLc
Are the seats always assigned? I've only flown once, but we were allowed to just sit wherever. Maybe it depends on who you're flying with but I just want to make sure I'm prepared
@@buildyourmoxieOkay thank you! I was also wondering if the process is any different flying alone as a minor? Again i'm sure it's a little different depending on who you're flying with, but I saw some things about needing to have someone at the airport when you arrive to pick you up and maybe some other things. I'm 17 if that makes any difference.
@@Simply_Mars you should be fine if you are 17 for most airlines. Are you traveling domestically or internationally? It would be different if you were 9 years old but 17 should be fine. I would still do a google search for your airline just in case :)
Ive never been on a plane. Im nervous about the takeoff and how itll make my stomach feel lol for referemce, a swing set make my stomach feel like im being stabbed. The dropping sensation hurts. I hope the takeoff feels smooth
If you’re traveling domestically do you still need your passport to show at the counter? Do we just show them our online boarding ticket, drop off the bag, and they’ll give us our printed ticket?
Are you from the United States? If so, you just need drivers license (Real ID) Go to counter when you get there to drop off bag. And they can print you a paper boarding pass if you want.
@@buildyourmoxie ok, thank you! And I heard something of giving a plane confirmation number to the worker. Is that number used to check in to our flights?
@@grapeleiva2266 as long as you have ur boarding pass, no worries :). The boarding pass has everything on it that you need. To get the boarding pass you need your ID When you board the plane, the people will scan it.
I’m so scared about the first check in part where u take off ur shoes or something and put ur stuff in the basket to get thru because everytime I’ve gone to the airport even my parents don’t know how to do that part and often do it wrong causing the ppl behind us to get annoyed and it’s so anxiety inducing I rlly wanna avoid and do it right
Scared of what? You litteraly just go to tsa, scan boarding pass, move up take shoes off/jewlry/stuff in pockets and carry on or purse, put it in the bin. Security scans you, and pats you down. If everything clears your stuff go through😊 conveyer belt and boom done: get your stuff put shoes on go to your flight gate.
You got this!! Just keep your bag organized. Liquids together in a quart size zip bag. And then electronically easy to take out. Shoes off. No metal on your body 🥰. And then just listen for instructions and watch others ♥️

Thank you for this..! I’m 16, never been on an airplane, neither have my parents. We’ve been to the airport maybe 2-3 times to pick up family members. I’m traveling on my own, internationally!!! My parents both have work in the morning so they cannot stay with me until I board on the plane.. my dad is literally just gonna drop me off and I’ll have to figure everything else on my own. (Needless to say I am kinda shitting my pants)

Only big pieces like watches usually! If it’s huge heavy earrings or necklaces or bracelets they might make you take it off! But like little earring studs and dainty jewelry you will be fine ❤️
I do that as well and get mobile boarding pass however I always like to visit the counter anyways because I’m always worried the rules will change lol. Plus if you have a check in bag you need to go to the counter :)
I have a question! I need your help because I’ve been so anxious and worried lately. I’m traveling as a minor with my little sister. My passport expires September 8th and my flight is July 13th. I’ve read and researched that for the Dominican Republic, as long as I come back before the expiration date they will let me on the plane? Is that so? I’ve been so stressed and get anxious easily.
Eeek. So sorry you are stressed 😖 Each country is super different! Some want you to have at least 6 months before it expires, some are 3, and some don’t mind as long as you beat the expiration date You leave July 13 and what day do you return back?
@@AlexaStar-lf7fc okay that’s good you come back in July and not too close to September. Yeah I would just do lots of Google searches for Dominican Republic. But in general usually countries are okay sending you back to the states after 😁
Sooo I have to take out my iPad of my carry on put it in the bin can I keep my Apple Watch on or no? And is body piercings okay to keep on? I’m so nervous bc I’ll be going threw security alone since my momma has a machine in her stomach not to mention it’ll be my first time flying and I’m antisocial and have mini panic attacks when I’m not next to my mom not to mention I’ll be 16 yet I still feel like a child child and I get overwhelmed overstimulated so easily and I will literally cry and have a mental breakdown like I’m so unstable if a lot of people will yell at me or tell me what to do I have ODD
I'd definitely take OFF the watch. Or better, just don't put it on at all till after security, just pack it in your Carry-On. Same with your belt, don't bother putting that on till after security. And don't have anything, anything in your pockets, not even a tissue, nothing. Also try not and wear any clothes with metal on them if possible. Jeans should be ok, lots of people wear jeans so i assume they calibrate for that. Is it alot of body piercing? If it's alot it might set off the machines, but since you said your mom has an implant , you guys will probably be pat down anyway, maybe. Your gonna have to inform them of the medical device right away.
Take a look at these ones. My absolute favorite and they don’t leak. And they are the right size :) as long as it is under 3.4 ounces and fits in quarts size bag you are good 12 Popular Travel Items that are ACTUALLY worth buying ua-cam.com/video/SuqdI4LAXSM/v-deo.html

watching this cause I fly in 8 hours for the first time EVER 😵💫
@@_prxscxllx YOU GOT THIS! ❤️😃
Do you need to get your ticket/boarding pass printed or can you just use your phone?
For domestic flights do we use real ID only??
@@heyitsjujuu in United States, real ID is enforced in 2025 May I believe!
I use the trtl pillow because it’s very small.
amzn.to/45eotba
Also I recommend using a sweatshirt for lumbar pillow. And sometimes international flights will provide one.
Here is a video I think will help you

I hope this helps im gonna get on a plane techically for the first time so wish me luck
🥳 you can do this!!!
Are the seats always assigned? I've only flown once, but we were allowed to just sit wherever. Maybe it depends on who you're flying with but I just want to make sure I'm prepared
Hi! It depends on the airline!! Most will let you pick your seats when you buy the ticket. But some like Southwest will not.
Thank you for the help
Thank you for watching! 🥰 have a great trip!

Aw thank you for watching 🥹. Have a great flight wherever you are going ❤️✌️
Thank you so much
How about hawaii to fly up to California how can I find the gate I mean? Like I mean how can I find the number for gate go to California
If you’re traveling domestically do you still need your passport to show at the counter? Do we just show them our online boarding ticket, drop off the bag, and they’ll give us our printed ticket?
Are you from the United States? If so, you just need drivers license (Real ID)
Go to counter when you get there to drop off bag.
To get the boarding pass you need your ID
When you board the plane, the people will scan it.
For bigger liquid like the Korean skincare lotion you had, don't you mean put them in the luggage (and not a carry on)?
I, going with only a carry on so how do I get the boarding pass if I skip the check in step?
travelling alone to the USA from the UK tomorrow !1
@@dylan74837 omg have a GREAT time!!! 😍 and wonderful flight ☺️
@@buildyourmoxie thank you!!😍❤️
I’m so scared about the first check in part where u take off ur shoes or something and put ur stuff in the basket to get thru because everytime I’ve gone to the airport even my parents don’t know how to do that part and often do it wrong causing the ppl behind us to get annoyed and it’s so anxiety inducing I rlly wanna avoid and do it right
Scared of what? You litteraly just go to tsa, scan boarding pass, move up take shoes off/jewlry/stuff in pockets and carry on or purse, put it in the bin. Security scans you, and pats you down. If everything clears your stuff go through😊 conveyer belt and boom done: get your stuff put shoes on go to your flight gate.
You got this!! Just keep your bag organized. Liquids together in a quart size zip bag. And then electronically easy to take out. Shoes off. No metal on your body 🥰. And then just listen for instructions and watch others ♥️
Yes! Exactly 🥰. You got this!
I agree. Toy Story one is scary

does make up like lip gloss need to be in a baggy? or just make up in general

🤩🙋🏻♀️hello!!!! 😁 woo!

Hey, is it OK to wear that neck pouch that has your passport and your drivers license in it? Is that acceptable?
Yes :) you can. But you will need to take it off during security part :)
@@buildyourmoxie thanks!
Thanks
🥰sure thing! Have a great trip❤️
Do i have to take off my jewelry at the security?
Only big pieces like watches usually!
If it’s huge heavy earrings or necklaces or bracelets they might make you take it off!
But like little earring studs and dainty jewelry you will be fine ❤️
What if i do check in online and print simply a boarding pass what is next,i will fly soon
I do that as well and get mobile boarding pass however I always like to visit the counter anyways because I’m always worried the rules will change lol.
Plus if you have a check in bag you need to go to the counter :)
Question: If you're going through security and you have an empty metal water bottle, do you still put it in the trays?
You can keep it in your personal item :) no need to pull it out as long as it’s empty!

Eeek. So sorry you are stressed 😖
Each country is super different! Some want you to have at least 6 months before it expires, some are 3, and some don’t mind as long as you beat the expiration date
You leave July 13 and what day do you return back?
@@buildyourmoxie I come back the 31st!!
