Dreaming of Getting into the Company | Strictly Ballet - Season 1, Episode 7 - Розваги
They are all saying that they want to dance professional.....but in my opinion they are already dancing professional 😂
The life of ballet is so entertaining to watch.
Ivon hahahaha yep
And it’s a scary life to have 😂
I really like how the pros donate the shoes to the students, that really saves a lot of money! And to those wondering, I'm pretty sure toes shoes and pointe shoes are probably regional names.
That is one advantage to being professional-the company buys the shoes for you, saves the dancers a lot of money also since each ballerina probably wears out at least one pair of pointe shoes a day/performance
I like how the school has allowed them to understand that there are other companies
I love this show but I think it would be better if they wouldn't repeat someone saying something like 5 times
Ikr!!!
It’s so annoying
Especially with episodes this short
YESSSSSS

Love this!!
I NEED to know what is going on in the audition!!!!!!!
I would love to watch this show but I miss dancing so much! I quit this year after dancing for 10 years (I started when I was 6 and now I'm 15) and I always wanted to get pointe shoes but I never took ballet classes. I did take a few ballet classes but not all the time. i always did jazz.
i know exactly how you feel! as a kid i had the Chance to start ballet and i didn't want to after a while and now im 14 and i would do everything to dance
Yeah! Now that I am 14 I wish that I had stuck with ballet when I was three. I want to dance so much, but I can't take classes now.
exactly how I feel. at my studio, the teachers would expect for you to take more classes through the week and summer classes and then a show, it was way to much money and didn't want dance in mix in with theater.
You could always start dancing again, but it's probably too late to make it professionally. I quit when I was really young but I recently started again aged 16. It's worth restarting if you love to dance
My sister took ballet in kindergarten, but in grade 1, they said she had to dance 5 days a week, so she quit. The next year, I enrolled in a different ballet class, I quit after about 6 weeks though because none of my friends joined, and my BFF wanted to join but there was no space. When I quit since i had no friends in the class, my BFF took that extra space, not knowing that it was me who left. She didn't care though, and stayed dancing. Now her dance team won nationals!
Love it !!!
Anyone else recongised Kathryn Morgan's name when she said it at 2:53?
I seriously wish they would do another one of these
the worst thing about this show is that i have to wait another week in between the episodes :"(
Jade Chaplin No, that it's so short!
Jamie made it. I’m so happy!
I love this💜💜
Omg please make more episodes! I've been dancing for years an its so interesting to see how pros my age are doing and i also want to know who made the company
They made a finale episode
Mimi is amazing
Aw dang. Im a 16 year old dancer and watching thirteen years old do things that I can't do makes me feel like such a failure. Haha! Lol. :)
How do they get such lean legs? My thighs are bulky I'm afraid i've been using the wrong muscles all the yrs i've been dancing and doing gymnastics recreationally. Or i'm not sure if it's genetic, but all ballet dancers i see they all have lean legs/thighs??? How to make bulky thighs lean? :(
I know gymnasts usually have a bulkier build, but I don't know about any specifics.
theres so much cardio involved that theres nno chance for the leg to build bulk because everythings always being burned!
Andrea Mc hmmm could it be muscles that are making the thighs larger/bulkier?
pinkcotton94 Maybe it's because in gymnastics you're training completely different muscles than in ballet:
Working with parallel feet, like you do in gymnastics, will make your legs look more muscular and bulky, while working with your legs turned out correctly from the hip, like you do in ballet, will make your legs look long and slim.
So if you want your legs to look more like a dancer's legs, just do more ballet and less gymnastics and also ask your ballet teacher if you're using the right muscles!
Good Luck =)
gymnasts use their actual quad muscle more whereas ballet dancers lift their legs from the hip flexor muscles and other hip muscles most of the time. Practice using other leg muscles like dancers!
It's amazing to see how their training focuses so little on upper body movement and just on quick clean foot work. This is really just called training at the barre. Whereas vagonova style is dancing all the way beautifully from plié to the center.
Different style -different choreography - different training.
Kathryn Morgan. Love her
Bring it back
very interesting
Its very interesting
This is very inspiring
Lianne Lim
Anouk W ??????
Very Nice
Who can be a good dancer? I think they’re already good dancers!😰
Go Australia👍🏼
When is the rest of the series coming out ????
THE MUSIC AT 4:09 IS FROM THE MOVIE THE CHORUS. ONE OF MY FAVES EVER. (ITS ON NETFLIX, GO WATCH IT!!!)
I had to watch that movie in my French class last year :)
YESSSSSSS YESSSS WITH JEAN BAPTISTE MAUNIER😂💗💗💗😍
i literally saw Kathryn morgans video on the side of the last one i watched. and i was like, is that the same school? and then they say her name and im like yup it is
My ballet class uses the exact same music for fouette turns haha
I knew Katy (Kathryn Morgan) was loyal to freeds and blochs
Que bien hacéis valet
I wonder how much they will make as a professional dancer?
mimi got in the company
Wow there good
When is the next episode? I want to know what happens.
I loooove her leg warmers in min 3:32
alexs turns omg
Where there's a will there's a way
does anyone know where mimi's leotard is from when they practice for the student choreography?
Oh my god Kathryn Morgan!!
2:53 Kathryn Morgan’s shoes and she was in the company like a while ago...
That's my friend Jock
Does anyone know what the navy blue leotard with lace is called that Stephanie's wearing?
4:38- why was she putting the back of her foot/shoe under the water??
+A Ka it makes the heel of the shoe not slip off and it also helps the shoes conform to the foot
+adsdancer33 thanks😃
Tori Scherle I do that I didn't know they had such purpose! 😳 I just think it's comfy 😂
2019??
When will we find out who made the company?
Mimi is an apprentice with the company, so she should find out soon if she gets her corps contract.
I had Ashley Bouder for a teacher.
Where was this when I was 11?
All of them are very good ballet dancers but they are forgeting something and that is smiling
No I am a young ballet dancer, I take classes everyday you preform with your body not always with your face.
Trust me its hard to smile in rehearsals
aqui en mexico tendrian que, tener en las escuelas y compañias. Una fabrica y personas, que hagan las puntas. Sale muy caro , estarlas comprando cada vez , que necesites unas nuevas
2nd to comment! #awesomeness
Who is watching this in quarantine 😂😂
is this the last episode??
what are some good ballet excercises for stretching but not getting muscly/too big legs. I have done gymnastics and my legs have got bigger so I wondered is there a way to make them smaller/thinner?
Try to work the inner thigh more when raising the leg rather than pulling it up with the quad muscle. It may feel weird for awhile but using these muscles rather than the quad will allow the leg to go higher. This exercise won't necessarily make them smaller but it should make the legs leaner. Another thing to try is to not keep the leg forced into the hip socket, you want to extend from underneath the leg; again this should also help with leaner muscles. I hope this will help you :)
Bethany Hyun how do u use the inner thigh more (sorry if its a dumb question just want to get the technique right)
Missy Scarlett Its not a dumb question. I had a hard time doing this at first. Some of the excersizes that I do to help are lying on my back and slowly lifting the leg to the front (in a turned out position)and contracting the inner thigh muscles. You should feel a sort of pulling motion on the inner thigh. Remember for this exercise lifting the leg slowly and keeping the leg lower is better than kicking the leg to the head; because that wont do anything for you in this case. You could also try laying on 1 side of the body and doing the same thing to the side(only this time in parrallel) Let me know if I need to clarify more on this or if you need more exercises.
***** okay thankyou!
Bethany Hyun so use your turnout more? and thankyou :))))) x
Did she say “i saw Kathryn Morgan Shoes in this one”
reppin' UC Irvine at 00:44!!! :) #zotzotzot
I've always wanted to be a ballerina for as long as I can remember but I was so caught up in other sports I never did and now I'm 14. Is it to late to start??
Some people start late and become GREAT! You'll never know if you don't try!
Julie O nope. I did other types of dance for my whole life but never ballet. I started it when I was 12 and now I'm 14. I'm in the advanced class and on pointe in my school- it's never too late to start :)
If I saw Kathryn Morgan’s shoes, even if I didn’t and couldn’t wear them, I would have snatcheddddddd
is that lyrica woodruff?
I do ballet
What are the names of the dancer at 3:28 and 4:54?. Someone watching again that knows please
This show focuses on all their mistakes. I want to see what they consider a perfect performance.
That’s the secret, the perfect performance doesn’t exist.
Their Feet take such a beating. I sometimes wonder if they realize that The Foot is a Body within a Body and if they have problems with their Feet everything else goes out of whack. Can you imagine how much Business they give Dr. Scholl's,
You would think that they would know how to say « pointe shoes »
Im 14 if i start ballet now i dont think i can go on pointe before 20
I'm 16 and I started Ballet in Jan 2014 and I'm going onto pointe in 2015, you just have to work hard
You can go en pointe as soon as your strong enough. That can be in a year or five -- don't put yourself down, and I'm a hypocrite for saying it since that was what I used to do, but still! Keep working and you can do it, as cheesy as that sounds.
Can anyone tell me where they get their leotards with mini skirts? The ones they are like dresses?
Capezio has everything
Thanks
The skirts are separate from the leotard, it's not a dress.
It's two pieces it's just a ballet skirt with a black Leo of their choice
wait why do they wet the heels of their pointe shoes?
(4:37)
It's to break the shoes in. Wet fabric will form better around your foot. They also sometimes hammer them
It also helps them grip
I really like this series but the audio is repeated so much >..>
0:30 do you see were the two twins Towers used to stand 😭😢🤧
I am getting an iPhone 13
And get a Job, and get a job, and get a job!
2.24 TOE SHOE? Realy?

Queensofprep870 nevur

everyone needs to stop having hands that looks like you're holding a hamburger!!!!!
That's the Balanchine technique! Haha I'm not really a fan of Balanchine hands either

Tried..no luck..i like the tube design..thanks anyway..
It is a yumiko! The tamara style i think :)
Joanne Penner thanks..i think the girl next to her with orange back stripe is tamara design but not the one i refering with a tube design. Thanks anyway
oh sorry thought you were talking about that one, not sure which other one you mean
4:54 yum
toe shoes
i cringed when that girl called the pointe shoes"toe shoes"
Tonnes of professional dancers call them that
Why
thats actually what they where called for a long time,my mom who danced a long time ago said that they where called "toe shoes".
Marley Blaind same
Sameeeee
OMG she said t oe shoes! She's a dancer, she should know that they are POINTE SHOES!!!
Different people call them different things. They can be called two shoes, because you are on your toes! Think! Duh!
Saying toe shoes isn't wrong
Did she say TOE shoes?!??!?!
Jalen Wilson There is no wood in pointe shoes, and I think everdaygurls was just shocked that a pre professional student called them 'toe shoes'
Jalen Wilson the material in pointe shoes is a lot of paper and other materials glued together and then shaped like a shoe :)
Jalen Wilson its kind of like papier maché with cloth i believe
Natalie Kahn ok :)
***** Finally someone takes me seriously! Thanks :)
