You did good Majid by standing your ground and kept bringing the point back to the Islamic texts and evidences rather than get bogged down by pragmatism
Jazakallah Khayr. I know brother Muttaqi agrees with the overall picture, however I feel the plight of the Ummah can lead people to become pragmatic with the best of intentions. Nevetheless, its important that we stick to the Qur'an and the Sunnah when attempting to deal with the problems we face.
