- What does it mean to be a man? Does it mean being someone who is physically strong with a large physique? Does it mean having tremendous amounts of wealth? What role does a man play in his family with his wife and with his children? Is it masculine to express your emotions?
These are all important questions we discuss in our latest podcast with Mohamed Hoblos and Sheikh Haroon Kanj.

I live in Bangladesh. And i am a reverted muslim.Around 4 days earlier i went to a madrasa in bangladesh to meet an ustad in that madrasa. Students of madrasa are real man. And the ustad was a real man. We talked about islam and life for around 5 hours when I looked at the clock it was 10 pm. I didn't want to leave but i have to go home. In my life i met a real man first time that day. The ustad was so humble that i can't express in words.
I’m from the US. And I have become very interested in your culture 🙏🏽

Assalamu alaikum OnePath Network, you've probably received this message multiple times, but please do such podcast for women as well. I was so inspired and feel much more greatful for my husband. I am a relatively new Muslima and thankfully this video helped me straighten my view on mens role in society but I think I still need a better understanding on the role of a woman, so I can better myself for my husband and my future children.

I’ve always said a “real man” will always put those around him before himself and do anything in his power to support his family and community while being a model of patience and discipline and silent wisdom.
am looking for a "man" inshaAllah to get married, but am afraid my own dad's more like "the wrong man". no wonder who he's gonna choose for me though i have my complete faith in Allah, He must have planned something greater for me. do dua for me all plz so that i can be a real " woman" at first.

If you don't like your dad's behavior that does not mean your future husband will be like him.
I know a woman her dad is a harsh and rude father. But he chosen for her gentle and kind man.
When the father chosen the guy he was planning to force her marrying him and she was planning to refuse him whatever it takes then the big brother managed the situation.
He made the father think his command was obeyed but the brother talked to his sister "if you don't want him no-one can force you"(and he mean it by that)
But did i ever lie to you or want harm for you?
Sister: No
Brother: okay, this man is responsible, never seen doing haram things, humble and handsome.
If these qualities are important to you then i advice you to Accept him as husband.
She said: married to that guy nearly 15 years and he is better than my brother described.
Yes i find some merely behavior i didn't like it but he apologies and promises to do better.

I will make dua that no one chooses your mate for you, this practice is wrong, it goes against Islam , your parents can do nothing more than “suggest” and try to match make, but not “make “ or
“Choose” for you.
For those searching for marriage (and even those who are married), this is a dua for a RIGHTEOUS SPOUSE and children from Surah Furqan (25:74).
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Transliteration: rabbana hablana min azwaajina wa dhuriyyatina qurrata A’yunin waj’alna lil- muttaqina imama.
Translation: Our Lord! Grant unto us spouses and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.

Also, the following dua from the Quran led to Musa (A.S) getting married:
“Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir”.
(My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need). [Quran 28:24].

It's very true what people say, "Modesty was lost in women when jealousy (shame) was lost in men." so I agree that if the responsibility of the man in the family is faulty by neglecting their rights, so will the society.
I agree that they have a part to play, but don’t women with a terrible relationship with their fathers in childhood be more susceptible to the quote, “unacceptable behaviours?” Not to appear feminist (because I’m not). They need to be raised with the love of the men in their families first or they’ll find it elsewhere only to be humiliated. Many girls who are caught doing drugs, being with boys, and having sex comes with the lack of a real father at home, and same with boys too.

If i’m not mistaken Allah says in the Quran that men are the protecters/caretakers of women. For that reason I think a muslim should be able to protect his family if needed. While with islamophobia it’s best to deal with it like the prophet saw did which is displaying good character, only in the case of self defense there is a need for violence.
The verse is sura an Nisa verse 34
Bass Sass what does it matter ? Try and find a good spouse. Then work on helping each other become the best parents/Muslim’s you can possibly become.
and also "Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah . Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration" Surat al ahzab 33:23

This shows what true manhood is,knowing when to show strength and when to be gentle,in simple words,CONTROL over one’s self.

Dear brothers, I think the most obvious thing is to let go of our pride, pride belongs to only Allah (SWT).
I think its best approached by asking oneself, if you walk into a room, do you want to be given respect like a tyrant that makes others fear you or do you want to make everyone in the room want to be with you and not leave.
A person of charisma that makes anyone they meet feel important, special and they matter. Bring smiles to their faces and bring light into their eyes.

What I personally believe makes a man is his beliefs and attributes.If he believes in Allah and embraces Islam correctly,he mastered the aspect belief.If he has morals such as respecting woman and he loves his mother correctly,he mastered the aspect of having morals/attributes,these all play their part to make a man.
Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer, nothing willstand between him and Paradise except death Hadith of Abu Imamah as PBUH said

Love this. As sheikh Muhammad said this topic most definitely needs to be a topic of discussion. It is indeed a problem for Muslims and non Muslims alike.
The concept of manhood among Muslims is clouded and misrepresented in our minds due to many reasons including and not restricted to Media, poor upbringing, poor commitment on behalf of the parents/educators, unaddressed misconceptions, ignorance, and ultimately a sense of neglect on behalf of the individual towards seeking the truth behind the authentic model of a Muslim man in favour of the convenience of today’s life/societal needs and desires.
If I may share what I believe to be the single most important value in general and in specific towards becoming a Muslim man, I believe it has got to be [ Fear of the Almighty ]
In the Quran. Allah conveys Jin and Humanity were not created for any reason other than Worship. Among the many wisdoms we can take away from this verse, we can extrapolate that the all-knowing said this because this in turn entails and obligates the Muslim to pursue and follow all associated life necessities under the same command!
I must work and earn a living to feed myself and my family in order to maintain good health to the best of my ability in order to carry out my command of worshipping Allah.
Allah above all comparisons, we likewise can summarize that the single most important value for a Muslim in general is fear of Allah.
Because it entails and demands allllll relevant duties and responsibilities on both personal and non personal levels.
