- OMG! Assetto Corsa on the Quest 2 Looks so....? My First Time Playing Assetto Corsa - I am playing Assetto Corsa for the first time and I will be playing it on the Quest 2. I have already tried the newer version Competizione which was bad for VR so will the original version be even worse? I hoping it is not. I will also go over my Quest 2 settings that I am using in this video. Let's Go Racing!

Yes! Thank you! I was wondering if this might be the case but didn't hold out much hope for the VR to not suck like ACc and WOW it is way better.
Yes, it's like night and day between the two games in VR.
Content Manager would be worth looking into if you havn't already. AC has so many mods and things you can do to make it look even better
Assume it is more for flat screen and not VR. I would imagine VR would take a hit with more graphic mods.
@The Casual Racing Gamer I run it in a quest 2 with a 5700xt. Content manager is still great for installing cars and tracks though and just overall better ui for loading the game.
@@thecasualracinggamer actualy theres way more improvement in content manager for vr then vanilla ac.
Now the next step is to install mods like shutoko highway!
Have you tried V-speedway and race for fun by the way? They're Quest 2 racing games.
I did try V-Speedway and did a video on it. I don't think that game is being supported anymore but supposedly the dev is working on a full racing game and not just a demo style game like V-Speedway was. Have not tried Race for Fun but just looked it up. Seems like it's just time trials and not racing against other cars?

I don't like VR as much tough ^^ i like all the eyecandy that AC has to offer on a screen.

Yeah, I've been playing iRacing in VR since the original Quest was out. Just didn't think this game was going to look as good as it did.
I have this game but had a bad experience in the headset it just looks so bad I'm re installing it now to see if your debugger options help me out many thanks.
Let me know how it goes because it looked so good. I was also running my Quest 2 at full resolution 72Hz. Didn't change any in game settings except setting the output to Oculus. I think the option might have said Rift S.
@@thecasualracinggamer I only have 16gb ram and a gtx1070 8gb this may be my problem too ill let you know if any improvement
Oh, yeah. You are not going to able to push the headset with a 1070. You will need to use a lower resolution and my other settings I edited in the debug tool even push the headset harder.

In your opinion what is the BEST looking game on VR , AC or AMS2 or RRE ? or something else?
AMS2 looks great. AC in VR looks good but I don't think as good as AMS2 even with mods in AC for VR. I also really like iRacing. While people say it's old and outdated, I still think it's clean and looks great. I haven't tried Race Room or Project Cars 2 though.
@@thecasualracinggamer PC2 that i tried looks like AMS2 but AMS 2 handling and FFB is waaaay waaay better so I dont play PC2 any more. Raceroom VR Graphics are better than the others but not than AMS2 also menu is not good for VR play. Iracing is not for me because 1st is to serious and people are getting angry easy ( i am to old for that 40) and secondly the price model i dont like it, other than that i understand its amazing . So my opinion is to Try Raceroom that is Free have and go and tell me what u think.
now update to OPen XR and hit up Sirspts gaming for some quality mods, down the rabbit hole you go! Raceu, worldsimseries, LFM (btw my skid marks look better than iracing)
You haven't seen nothing yet look up some tutorials for sol and content manager it makes the game look way better than it looks now.
sounds, looks and handles better than iRacing. iRacing haves a better racing league system tho.
I was not expecting it to be that good but yeah, iRacing has a great online community that is hard to beat.

ACC is garbage in VR (even with a BEAST of a pc) because the engine is so poorly optimized. When Assetto Corsa is modded up with CSP and Sol/Pure it is arguably the best looking sim in VR available now, especially if you do the paid version of CSP to get rain enabled.
I think the VR looks really good before any mods. Everything is super clear, no shimmering or bluriness and runs super smooth. Everything else after that would just be icing on the cake.
