@@criticalthought4910 I've seen him the dude play since he entered the league and I've been watching basketball since the 90s. Flopping didn't become such a huge thing for players until the face of the league did it so often. Lebron is part of the reason why the NBA has become so soft the last decade. By your logic FT attempts = a player committing more flops I guess 2008-09 & 2009-10 LeBron flopped his way to his MVP seasons then huh? He was #3 in FT attempts in both those seasons. You have Lebron's d*** so far down your throat you can't even think straight.
Tim would know he trained MJ and Kobe along with other elite athletes..No player has 10 Scoring titles, to go with 5 MVPS of the NBA, 6 Finals MVPS, 3 in the All Star Game( before it became a joke) MJ is also the only player in NBA history with two seasons of 200 plus steals and 100+ blocks.. highest scoring avg ever 30.12 ppg and highest scoring avg ever in the playoffs 33.6 ppg.. Defensive Player of the Year 1988 and led the league in scoring. But this what does it for me.. from 1991 to 1993, 95-98, MJ went 25-1 in playoff series..no one has been that dominant since.
Typical Lebron move trying to control the narrative. If a player has to say they never cheated the game, then they cheated the game. No true King crowns himself.
It's just like when he said that he's never flopped nor been on a superteam, and we have evidence of that just being completely false. Only Lebron gawk sucker believe in his lies.

Jordan is just in is own class even among all time greats. In addition to the accolades and unique accomplishments, he's the ONLY one that never had a poor playoff series or shat the bed for an entire series. He's the only one that played all 82 games 9 times in a career, including at 40 years old. In his 6 championship runs only missed 6 games and went how many years without losing 3 games in a row? Even when he came back at the tail end on the 95' season the Bulls were unnder .500 and he noosted them to the playoffs. We don't even have to go into his effort on both sides of the ball all game long for his career. None of these ugys compare to him.
The thing that people respected about Michael wasn’t even his success or accomplishments. It’s his relentless competitive nature and his refuse to lose mentality. I don’t mean to undermine Lebron but I really believe that if peoples biggest gripe with you is your mentality then it is far more damning than anything else.
You’re tying “mental toughness” and “will” to a team accomplishment where MJ had the best roster in the league from 96-98 and his first 3 peat in 1994 without him won 55 games. Lebron scored 25 straight points to beat the Pistons in the ECF game 5 in 07 to win and eventually make the finals beating a Pistons team that went to 5 straight ECF’s. Lebron is the only player in NBA history to lead a team to win the in the finals down 3-1 against a 73-9 GSW team that won the previous year. Stop glorifying team accomplishments as individual attributes. Learn the game.
@@pittland44 In my view, MJ had a mental edge over everyone, a work ethic edge over everyone, but he was also so physically talented, that along with the above mental talents, that he could acquire any skill he needed. For example, when MJ was criticized for just being a scorer, what did he do? He worked on his defensive game and became DPOY. Now, people look back and say MJ wasn't much of a 3 point shooter. I have no doubt that MJ would become a superlative 3 point shooter if he thought he needed that game. There was no one like MJ.
The day Lebron went from my possible choice as one of the greatest to no longer being considered even in the top 10 was when he walked off the court in Game 5 against the Suns with 5 minutes left. I can’t think of any “G.O.A.T” competitor doing that. That was his moment to inspire his team , his comeback moment , his once in a lifetime made for TV movie experience but he walked away from his team. Edit: Meanwhile you have players like Kobe who raptures his Achilles tendon and limps out to the foul line to take his free throws and tie the game before seeking medical. Then you have Jordan’s Flu or Food poisoning game . They both played through multiple injuries while Lebron has walked off with time left on the clock more than once.

He also has ALL of that space to just as easily drive in and lay it up. His flexing after, especially in the bubble, is about all you need to know about his taking it to the hole. Jordan was 9 times all defensive first at the same time as scoring champ. That really shows how much of a beast he was on both ends. Also steals champ at the same time as scoring champ. Something that never gets mentioned. Jordan is top 5 in both totals and per game averages in both scoring and steals. Some players maybe both for one stat but not 2. Jordan took it to another level in the finals especially the first 3. 91-- average 11.4 assists per game highest for anyone not Magic. 92 - - average an impressive 42% for 3s and in game 1 shot six 3s in a half which was a record for 18 years until Ray Allen the only person to shoot more in a half 93-- average 41 points per game highest ever.
Interesting tidbit from his 91 to 93 run was that in 1991, he averaged 11.4 assist per game against Magic who's known as the best passer in NBA history, in 1992 he averaged 42% from 3's against Clyde Drexler who people said was better than Jordan because Clyde shoots 3's, and in 1993 averaged 41 ppg against the Phoenix Suns which was the best offensive team in the league. Jordan beat all 3 at their own game. Legendary.
@@zxcvb3772 Meanwhile when the San Antonio Spurs dared Lebron to beat them with his shooting, he folded like lawn chair. You think they would have gotten away with that shit with Jordan? Hell no! MJ would have "taken it personal" and rise to the occasion, like he did against the Trailblazers. While more often than not, LBJ shrinks in big moments, even AFTER he formed his Super Teams. Jordan 3-Peated TWICE, while LBJ could only repeat with Wade and Bosh (falling WAY short of the SEVEN rings he predicted), and LBJ couldn't even repeat with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, nor with Anthony Davis. MJ carried teams, while LBJ always needed to be carried by other super stars. LBJ is basically poorer shooting Karl Malone, if Malone had been allowed to frequently get away with offensive fouls.

MJ brought it every night. Even as a 40 year old playing for the Wizards, MJ's motor never stalled on either end of the court. What made people of my generation gravitate to Michael Jordan was his skill of course, but more so his mentality. He ignored sickness and injury. Then he delt with it after the game. If his team was off in a game, he picked up the slack. There were never excuses to the media with him. Players nowadays can stub their toe in the morning and miss Game 2 of the Finals.
Jordan played in watered down expansiion league filled with guys who would barely crack a G-League today. Even Wilt said he would've averaged 70 in Jordan's weak, diluted, expansion league era.
20 years off still the undisputed 🐐 And he has never had to say it or beg for it. We all say it for him And I must say. Playing more minutes at 40 than every single player this past season is crazy
I agree. People will quickly talk about Bird's lack of athleticsm (overblown and they're putting too much stock in Bird post '88), yet there's literally no mention of his other gifts like hand-eye-coordination and quick reflexes. Not to mention his IQ, anticipation, and conceptualizing the game on a different level; seeing 2 to 3 moves ahead. LeBron is a great athlete, a great passer, and he's one of the best at reacting to what the defense is throwing at him (not 2-steps ahead though), but he's not on Bird's level with all of the other things I've cited. LeBron has a relatively high IQ, but not on Bird's level. LeBron has always lacked in his off-ball game, and fundamentals in a lot of the little things that don't show up in the boxscore; which is where guys like Bird and Jordan create plenty of separation from him. LeBron is like Pau Gasol, in the sense that everything Pau did well shows up in the boxscore, whereas Marc Gasol did (IMO) everything just as good or better (say for scoring), but it was never really reflected in the boxscore. One will likely get in the HOF, but the other one (again, IMO) was better, but that's going to be a tough sell when looking at the stats.

@@emmapeel38 I always laugh when people say Larry Bird lacked athleticism. Sure, he wasn't Usain Bolt in the 100M, but Bird was super-quick and could get his shot off against anybody in the league. Bird also had quick hands that produced a lot of steals, and he played great team defense, unlike LBJ who half the time is either flopping or whining about not getting a foul call from the refs while the other team is running down to the other end of the court to play 5 on 4. And of course, Bird could shoot the lights out and was one of those clutch dudes who struck fear in his opponents during the final possessions of close games, while LBJ's most famous clutch play was a blocked shot, as LBJ only hits 20% of tying or go-ahead shots he takes in the last 5 seconds of games. There is NO WAY LBJ is even close to the baller Larry Bird was. Or Magic, or Kareem, or Kobe, and definitely not even in the same zip code as Michael Jordan.

I believe when when Lebron said that he's never cheated the game, i believe that was his way of addressing the steroid allegation made against him by Chael Sonnen. Either way, Lebron year after year, has cheated the organizations he's left high and dry but more importantly, he's cheated the fans on numerous occasions
when he cramped up in san antonio that showed he was using it.. no other player got cramps, only him.. why is that? cause steroids deplete the body of potassium and one symptom of low potassium is muscle cramps.. playing in the texas heat with AC down exposed him.. and another side effect of steroid use, hair loss.. 🤭
I can't see how LeBron isn't cheating. I doubt he's using steroids, rather other things that aren't breaking the rules of the NBA; because even they don't know what those things are. Also, they've been doing a lot of creative things in the Far East ("C"****), in terms of replacing parts; check out "Coma" (1978). His body seized up on him in '14; it was cramps from dehydration but looked like something else frankly. He also didn't look right with the CAVS at the beginning '14, supposedly went back to Miami, looked brand new, and the few people who started talking about it in the media, never bring it up anymore. Bonds never had the protection from MLB, the Union (which he opted out of JUST before the allegations started to come up in '02 around the time Bobby Bonds passed away), the media, and he didn't have a guy in the highest places with the highest connections on his speed-dial feeding him strategies. Also, Bonds made everyone else in baseball, look like little kids. With everything I believe that LeBron's been doing, he still has never REALLY separated himself from guys like Durant, Curry, Giannis, etc. I'm starting to wonder if LeBron's truly as great as Malone was, without all of the extra help he's gotten along the way. That minutes per game comparison between a 40 year old MJ and today's players is pretty interesting. MJ was truly awesome, not using that word lightly. That said, as someone that has discovered the fragility of the human body through my own sports injuries, I don't fault a trend of reducing a player's minutes. @@gggyy7104 That's a great question. During the 2017 NBA Finals Lebron claimed, right after game 1 (which the Cavaliers lost 91-113 to the Warriors) Lebron claimed that there was racist graffiti painted on the gates of his Brentwood CA home (where he and his family were not in residence at the time). According to Lebron after the incident his staff cleaned the graffiti off before law enforcement could investigate (and they were called to the scene after Lebron reported the incident) and no evidence was available or collected. Now, there are really only two possibilities, both involve a crime committed by Lebron. Either A) there really was a hate crime, at which point Lebron had his staff destroy evidence of said crime, which if nothing else is misdemeanor interference with a police investigation, or felony obstruction of justice (depending on the specific statute in the state of California). Or possibility B) Lebron faked the whole thing and filed a false police report, which again may only be a misdemeanor but could be a felony depending on the crime faked (see everything with Jussie Smollett). My money is on the second possibility for four reasons: 1) I know the numbers for hate crimes, and the odds are against Lebron that such an incident occurred in the first place. 2) I know the area Lebron's house is in, the average home price is 6.5 million dollars and Lebron's house cost 24.5 million and among his neighbors are Pau Gasol, Justin Timberlake and I think Reggie Jackson was living around there at the time. 3) You're going to tell me that in Brentwood California, again an extremely affluent area that's littered with celebrities, where Lebron James lives in a gated community with private security and high end home security systems, there's not a single shred of video or physical evidence? If such evidence did exist why was it never made available to the public? 4) Stephen A. Smith has said on several occasions that Lebron was the victim of a hate crime, that's how I definitively know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Lebron faked the whole thing and is completely full of shit. Don't believe me, look up the media's coverage of the Duke Lacrosse Case or the BYU Volleyball incident. Both times Stephen A. took the side of inveterate liars on racial grounds, and both times he was proven to be completely and inexorably wrong.

It was more physically and mentally tough in the Jordan era. Players were trying to prove themselves, to earn their money, earn their spot. Lebron era is loaded with players just resting while crooked agents get them paid like they have all of Jordan’s accolades.
That's not the only thing. Jordan played in an era of legends, emerging a legend among legends. Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, the list goes on, and Jordan eclipsed them all. I don't remember Jordan going on television and getting political. Everything I've seen with him off the court, he just carries himself with class, and acts like a real professional. The commercials starring him were not "look at me, I'm Micheal Jordan," but were either simple (Micheal Jordan wears Hanes) or often tongue in cheek, either making fun of his success (Ballpark franks, Nike), or taking it the absurd extreme in the case of McDonalds (love Larry vs MJ). You just wake up in an empty room with a computer on basketball reference. And based on the statistics and logical deduction, you make a guess on who the best basketball player is. But yeah, the post did such a masterful job showing how such a person would easily reach the conclusion that Jordan is the best player ever.
The most amazing fact about Jordan is he was that good Miami heat retired his jersey even though he didn’t play for them ever that’s why Lebron had to wear number 6 in Miami 😂 no other player has ever had their number retired in a team that the never played for 😂
All the coaches and players. He has destroyed his performance, enhancing drugs, his diva like mindset. I can't believe we're even comparing him to a all-time great
Bro what evidence do you have that Lebron is using peds? If you’re going to accuse Lebron of taking peds without any evidence then I can do the same with Jordan, how do you know Jordan wasn’t on peds?
You can't stop a player who doesn't need to see the basket to score, MJ shoots better throwing the ball behind him than these guys can standing in front of it!!!
I'm a product of the time I grew up in.........Magic and Larry, were the best when I was too young to notice. MJ, was the best, when I started noticing, Kobe, took the mantle, when MJ left. There hasn't been anyone close since. I understand why, young people feel LeBron is the GOAT. There is an argument too be made, but for me the arguments already been settled. 1. JORDAN 2. KOBE 3. ALL OTHERS
It's quite funny that a game which is worldwide dominated by the United States, people don't get the idea what domination has always been. The answer? MJ
Goats don’t have to ring chase because whatever counterparts they have they make due with and compete regardless. Lebron disqualified himself when he started trying to stack the deck with all time hall of fame players around him. Jordan helped develop Pippin into what he was. There’s a huge difference!
Though MJ didn't win the title, MJ in 1987-88 season was near "perfect": All Star MVP, All Star Slam Dunk title, led the league in steals, All-NBA Defensive First Team, DPOY, season MVP, and scoring 35 points per game in the era of the Bad Boy Pistons, and the era where players could fight to an extent and still be in the game. Nobody has come close to it, and neither has LeBron, and taking a scoring title and assist title one time each is weaker to compare against MJ. Of course, MJ's accomplishments in 91, 92, 96, and 98 in being the MVP, Finals MVP, champion, and All-Defensive First Team is astonishing, but no one really came close to taking major awards all in a same season, though Hakeem is the closest in the year when MJ had retired for the first time. Jordan was a type of player that just wanted to play the opponent at their best level, but beat them to tell them that he is still better, miles ahead, and will take challenges despite of a ankle injury or a flu/food poisoning.
He can do that, teams sometimes let Lebron score as much as possible and they shutdown all the other players because they know Lebron will not beat them and since he is old by the 4th quarter he will be tired.
@@mugabo22 and got swept. LeBron also choked 3 crunch time game winners too by driving towards a trap (Because LeBron has no bag), and that infamous choke in game 1 lol.
As good as LeBron is, he lost my respect because he had to construct superstar teams on order to win his 4 rings. He is not known for hitting shots in the clutch, but his scoring prowess and acrobatic skills are fun to watch. That said MJ is at the top of my list, and LeBron is on my second five.
So from 90 to 98 they didn't lose 3 games in a row? That's an impressive stat!
And From 1992-93, 95-98 Bulls with MJ 25-1 playoffs series record. Not 1, not , 2, not 3, but 6 championships.

Now is also Lebron James.
Your right his killer instinct was what I respect the most about him.
Michaels mentality is what made him the goat. There have been great athletes before and since, but no one was more competitive than MJ.
@@LL-zm9go I say this to all Lebron fans: Stop It! Get Some Help! There are a lot of wonderful groups out there that can help you.

Not to mention that when you see LeBron dunking (around) people, they're (very) small-ball bigs and generally those that are coming off the bench. He also has ALL of that space to just as easily drive in and lay it up. His flexing after, especially in the bubble, is about all you need to know about his taking it to the hole. People can go on about today's defenses, but it seems watching Jordan's highlights, the entire other team, all made it a point to go up on him, and double & triple team him as much as possible. Jordan had everyone on skates. And a large part of defense is effort, and you just never saw guys sagging off of Jordan; it was never a thing while he was with the Bulls. 93-- average 41 points per game highest ever.
MJ brought it every night. Even as a 40 year old playing for the Wizards, MJ's motor never stalled on either end of the court. Fact.

@@LL-zm9go MJ was a overall better player than LBJ, nobody's talking about who was more physical.
That’s 🧢.. LBJ is by far a better all around player, MJ is just a better scorer.
Also physicality and size definitely plays a part in the debate lmao
Even if LeBron were to become the statistically greatest player to ever play the game of basketball, his personaliy tarnishes his legacy. Narcissism, primadonna antics, and chasing rings through superteams are not the hallmarks of a universal superstar.
He legit had a tantrum on the court like a toddler 😂
I don't see how anyone can be called goat when they had to be carried off the court for leg cramps. 😂
And I guess being a gambleholic and beating up on teammates half your size are good character traits.

It’s a controversial comment, but it’s not only true, it’s absolutely hilarious 😂
What’s even more hilarious is the fact that diehard LeBron analysts like Shannon Sharpe & Nick Wright ALSO wear Jordan’s.
Shit, that night when LeBron broke the scoring record, his two sons Bronny & Bryce CHOSE to wear Jordan’s instead of their own father’s shoe.
C’mon man 😂😂
I haven’t bought a pair of those raggedy shoes since ‘92…

You can’t be a perpetual loser and claim to be the goat. Winners find a way to win and not make excuses (mysterious injuries). Jordan won and willed his teams to victory in the finals with pure heart 💯
Imagine calling a man a loser who has had 1Mx the success of your entire family history.
@@LL-zm9go He's saying loser in the sense that he's losing a lot, in his NBA career. Not a loser as a human being. Does not surprise me though Lebron fans always use his wealth and fame against people who doesn't think he's the GOAT, as if you're not a bottom barrel in society yourself lmao.
Don’t you ever stop to think why Lebron has so many losses in the finals? It’s a combination of having to go through two different dynasties a total of 7 times and then you have to factor in stuff like injuries to one or both of his main guys. If Jordan had to go against the Spurs 3 times and then the warriors 4 times (twice without his second best player because kyrie didn’t play in 2015 and 2018) would Jordan still be undefeated in the finals?
@@jaydot4956 Yes, what's that excuse? Kobe had to play in the West through Spurs entire prime years and did well. Kobe actually played against prime Dirk, Duncan, KG, etc. Lebron played against old Dirk, Duncan, KG, etc. AND STILL LOST.
@@zxcvb3772 Kobe wasn’t even the best player on the team for most of those matchups and who was Kobe beating after Shaq left and before Pau joined the team? He couldn’t even get passed Steve Nash.
Too big to fail.
Well to be fair no one really investigated LeBron's ties to biogenesis. I truly believe he's been on HGH for a long time
HollowArt 23, I agree what you said. Lebron isn't an honest person and he has cheated on certain people and it backfired later on when other teams caught up with it.
I guarantee 20 years from now people will still remember MJ more than leoverrated
LeBron actually thinks that he can say that he's goat and think that it's true 😂😂
And also his wife😅😅😅
It's simple, the "GOAT" debate is more, finding the worst MJ stats and comparing them to the best Lebron stats. I think we all know....
And don’t get it twisted Michael should have at least four more MVPs, and at least five more defensive player of the year award, and everybody knows it
This dude is spot on, every time. Props
Goddamn! Tim went to the shoe robbery comparison. 😂.
superstars nowadays can't even play 82 games in a season
Great content and research.
1993 was his peak though… even though Barkley got the MVP, Jordan had the highest ppg in finals history in the series against Barkley. Then got the ring and the finals MVP
1987 was Jordans peak athletically and physically with stamina.

That minutes per game comparison between a 40 year old MJ and today's players is pretty interesting. MJ was truly awesome, not using that word lightly. That said, as someone that has discovered the fragility of the human body through my own sports injuries, I don't fault a trend of reducing a player's minutes. I haven't seen the stats, but I suspect injuries are down and not just because today's play has less contact. Constant running and jumping is pretty hard on the body, especially after many years.
Very interesting "stat"...
Great video!!! I remember watching him in college … he was always fun to watch!
LeBrone had NO obligation to the fans...He moved from team to team ONLY for himself, never thinking of his fans..he flopped a lot and stood around a lot--M J never quit, he played till the last second..LeBron tried to say he was the GOAT---that's a laugh..He would be lucky to get rated in the top 10...
Also Jordan never faked a hate crime or a hand injury to avoid criticism for losing. Lebron has.
LeBron is a journeyman!
@@pittland44What hate crime
MJ played 15 seasons. Of those seasons he played the full 82 games 9 times. LeBron has played 20 seasons and only played the full 82 games once. That sums up both players.
MJ quit on his team for 2 years and retired twice.

Sloan's retirement marked the end of the NBA as a gritty league
Dont forget, Lebron just got swept, injured or not, it's part of the game. Instead of giving props to Denver, he mentions "retirement" and takes away the attention from Denver. When Lebron retires, I guarantee that he will be critiqued more and more and his ranking will drop to top 10. Lebron says "he didn't cheat the game", recruiting superstar/allstar teammates isnt cheating?

"Jordan, Jordan, Jordan, Jordan."
Why are people still arguing about how much better this man was than everyone else?
I remember Jordan playing and winning while he had the flu, then I remember Lebron being carried off the court for cramps. 😂😂😂😂
Jordan also played when the league was 1000% more physical. He was taking elbows, hand checks, guys grabbing his jersey and still ended up the GOAT.
It was more physically and mentally tough in the Jordan era. Players were trying to prove themselves, to earn their money, earn their spot. Lebron era is loaded with players just resting while crooked agents get them paid like they have all of Jordan’s accolades.
As a Knicks fan, I rooted against Jordan every year. I don’t have a bias, he’s the 🐐.

Lastly, queen James has the ugliest beard of all time.
I remember seeing this interesting thought experiment on r/NBADiscussion.
You have no knowledge of basketball or any of the storylines and players.

Taking steroids is cheating the game.

When the Universe ends there wont be a better player than MJ who existed...We still don't understand how good he was
90's defence is like 2010's defence just without LeChoke flopping
Jordan’s defense really separates him from the rest for me .🎉
