I was impressed by the demonstration at the very end. The amount of area that flashlight is lighting up is incredible for having such a small lense. Great review and cool flashlight!

Love my powertac m5g2, only wish it was always straight to turbo with the rear button and straight to moonlight with the side button. Then it best best of both worlds; edc and defense.
I couldn't agree more and hopefully they make an updated model with those features
I only wished you would had tried for the tree line so we can see its reach
I honestly wish this area of Eastern Washington had tree's because finding a spot I can test a flashlight in farm country ain't exactly all that easy 😂 but I will try to find a better area for my next flashlight review.

Did you cary it using the pocket clip or just “in pocket”. It’s a tad larger than I’d normally go for an EDC…but I’m really considering picking one up.
I carry it using the pocket clip majority of the time. Yeah it's a little larger than many EDC flashlights but it's power and overall output makes it worth while.
If it's turned off, can you quickly turn on turbo or firefly? Or does it only come on in the last used mode?
Unfortunately not, it comes on wherever you had it set last.
@@PNWoutdoorReviews I just got it and couldn’t figure out if it could do that. That stinks. I’d say it was perfect if it could do that. My Olight M2R warrior pro does that but it’s a little bigger. This would’ve made this light perfect for me. Ah oh well …it’s still a decent EDC light.
What the max range you had it out? I have one I can't tell if it's making 300 yards or not
I personally haven't tested it out yet at those distances but I've used it while checking out a small hill side that was 150 - 175 yards out. I still use it as my EDC and will be doing further testing on my camping trip this spring. I'll test out max distances
@@PNWoutdoorReviews I will test it again next clear night , lights are so restricted on cloudy nights it seems as I tried last night
I tried it out this morning while it was clear and dark outside and it seem to be reaching 350 yards that it's rated for however the light isn't much when it gets there but it's there

@@PNWoutdoorReviews I don’t know about Powertac but many lights list the lumens/candela on the box or in the instructions.
Never mind. I just looked it up. Max beam intensity is 27225cd. That’s a lot of throw.
TBH, this light, I bought 2 of them, toyish. OLight is a much beefier and brighter light. Disappointed in these
It only looks "tactical" but actually it isnt. This ui is terrible or even useless as tactical light.
What would you recommend for a tactical flashlight? I'm honestly curious because I'm always looking for different lights to compare on my channel.
@@PNWoutdoorReviews I think the best ui for a tactical light has the Nextorch TA30 Tactical. But also there are some models of Nitecore, Fenix and Klarus that are quite good. They have settings where they always start in high and a dual tail switch with direct strobe access.
@@PNWoutdoorReviews the thrunite TT20 is my go to light it has great throw and flood USB-C charging always starts in turbo and the side switch you can set it to whatever you want and it always remembers. If I find something that can outdo it I will buy it but so far the TT20 is King.
