UA-cam has become a place where wealth and fame is all that matters, theres no more fun anymore, you won't get anywhere trying to have fun with it. If things had been different it may not of been entirely clear we were growing up as everything likely could of remained the same. However, to everyone retiring, they deserve it, they really earned it. It sucks we've been forced to basically realize we've grown up, but at the same time, we needed it. They still are around, to some degree, either here or elsewhere. Its not over entirely, and we shouldn't cry because its over, we should be happy and smile that it happened, and cherish those amazing memories and nostalgia for the rest of our lives, and being able to go back and reminisce. To all those retiring, thank you, you earned it man.
Sometimes, it's better to just let things die when their time comes. It's sad, but all things HAVE to end. If they go beyond their time, if they continue struggling to keep going just for the sake of it, eventually things just won't be right anymore. Watching something you care for become unrecognizable over time is a far worse pain than losing it could ever be.

stampy, dantdm and matpat really hit it at home in this one. Watching all you're old youtubers leave or scoot off a bit is sad when you realize times are really moving on
I think I get how those people feel, who entertained children and adults respectively. Imagine being a children entertainer for over 10 years, only to realize your audience became adults. And the fact that the current generation's kids don't care about you shows that... it's better off ending it for the present, than continuing it for the future. - UA-camrs are losing their identity over time. Those UA-camrs who don't want it to end, have to resolve in bat sh*t insane action for the common audience, just to be relevant and get profit out of it, if there's any. - The platform worsens over time, allowing more harm and malice than more engagement and care for any community, ruining UA-camrs' way of living in the process and whoever decides changes at UA-cam won't do anything about it for a long time now. Be it ignorance or negligence, it's unacceptable and sometimes illegal, depending on context. - Kids are hooked onto UA-cam, despite the fact that it's the worst possible way to raise up a child, where their "TV Shows" are a bunch of uneducational and probably unethical videos made by unknown people on the internet, brainwashing their minds with content that they specify, because kids don't know any better for themselves and leaves scars for their mental states. - Shorts are the pinnacle of "grab whatever value you can and get out" vibe, if I ever seen one. Most people there who upload videos are not usually for engagement with their own community, but rather engagement with everyone and everything that brings views, likes and comments for their videos, making us (the viewer) literal money machines. Highly manipulative and brainwashing for all people. It can get addictive for some, if not most people on the internet to continuously scroll, watch and react to content with never ending content thrown at you. - The way to handle criticism on UA-cam is nothing short of manipulative this time around. UA-cam took away the dislike button because less than 5%~ of users complained about their videos getting bombarded and attacked with negative feedback and they went along with the request. UA-cam took away the 5 second skip button, because most of the time, people didn't care about those ads and all advertisers saw was less engagement towards ads, so they complained as they wanted to leave. You guessed it, they went along with the request. UA-cam took away the chance to produce content with any type of mild swearing, regardless of the CAPPA change where you directly specify, that it is targeted for adults, but the video itself gets restrictive, whenever a word (aimed for adult use) gets that video demonetized, age restricted or even taken down, all because UA-cam didn't want that change in the first place, thus they didn't care changing it. There are a bunch other issues with UA-cam which revealed itself overtime, and I think the way UA-camrs leave is nothing short of... expected. Even those who decided to live their lives for their community slowly decides to step away from UA-cam and move onto other social media platform permanently. We all see it, nobody is happy with this change, yet we don't get changes that we deserve. F*ck UA-cam.
It’s so weird it’s been a decade since I’ve watched these guys but hearing their voices and saying goodbye.. it’s like only moments went by when I watched these with my brother on my iPad.
that would be another nice alternative ending though i just thought the tom scott quote was more relevant to the situation. i did include a "its just a theory" in the video though. its being overlapped by music and other voices, though, so you might've not caught it (its during the edit)
stampy and dantdm leaving genuinly broke my heart, they were my whole childhood. i remember going to the videos section of my crappy amazon fire tablet and watching them everyday. farewell dan and stampy and thank you for giving me a great childhood
What Tom Scott said at the end was amazing. Sad to see my and many others childhood heroes leaving, but it’s inevitable that they do someday. I atleast hope that they and we all have great lives in the future.
Alright guys, this is it. This one the one thing that finally pushed me over the edge. I don’t intend on coming back. Edit: this is a joke. Please don’t take this seriously.

yeah, he's just letting it go easy now, he still frequently streams and posts so I'm not sure why he's here (besides that like two month break that one time?) the video showed here isn't him quitting, it's just explaining things will be a bit different
yeah read the description tom scott isn't exactly quitting, either. he's slowing things down and just not doing weekly uploads. mat pat is quitting in the sense he's not on screen anymore, but otherwise he's still a part of the youtube channel just not visible. stampy is just not doing minecraft videos anymore and slowing things down joel haver is switching to 12 feature films a year (1 per month) rather than one short film a week in a sense all of them are not exactly quitting but making a big change that results in them not making as many videos or changing their content significantly
Damn, this really makes me sad, seeing all of those videos of youtubers retiring. But I'm happy too, because like stampy said, we still have the memories and our time together has made us who they are today We can be better people, and I want them to be who they are and happy with what they're doing, and I want them to live their lives to the fullest, to be there for those they care about, and for us to let them do that and we take what they do as inspiration and apply it our own lives We should all find happiness in our lives
Back at the time when i was 8, i loved Fnaf for its lore and gameplay, that's how I know MatPat, I sticked with him for a long time. He was my star back then, You shall be remembered, MatPat.
yeah, he didn't, but many of the other youtubers considered to be quitting (e.g. tom scott) aren't exactly quitting. they're more so slowing down or moving to behind the scenes (mat pat). so yeah i just included him

Want to add Funhaus to that list, they made it almost 10 years as a channel and they were a big part of my 20's telling jokes that most other channels were afraid to. Stupid ones mostly, but some smart ones in there too. And all hilarious
I will miss Matpat, Tom and Funhaus, and wish them all the best
Wow, A whole generation just flew by us so quickly. It only felt like yesterday to me 😔
i grew up with all these creators its sad they either retired or changed content but they such a big part of the childhoods of millions including mine
I view this as a rebirth, a new generation of you tubers that will make more kids childhoods.
Yeah, and not all of thrm are bad there’s some new UA-camrs I really like
@@faithfulw1shes LIKE ME!!!!! jk
“You guys aren’t kids anymore” is the best line from these.
“All the videos are still there to enjoy but once you finish them you’ll watch them again and again”- my brother (2023)
It was a great life we lead brothers
Matpat….❤ I’ll miss them all..
matpat and stampy hit the hardest for me ❤
Bro, Stampy was my childhood UA-camr, and according to my parents, the more I watched his videos, the better my speech got. I haven't watched him in ages, but it still broke my heart when I learnt he quit. He will always hold a special place in me 🥲
damn thats cool though
stampy, dantdm and matpat really hit it at home in this one. Watching all you're old youtubers leave or scoot off a bit is sad when you realize times are really moving on
A great quote to use.
"Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss.
"UA-cam isn't a platform IT'S the content creators and the people"
I think I get how those people feel, who entertained children and adults respectively.
Amazing. Maybe with “its just a theory” in the end? Love it❤
that would be another nice alternative ending though i just thought the tom scott quote was more relevant to the situation. i did include a "its just a theory" in the video though. its being overlapped by music and other voices, though, so you might've not caught it (its during the edit)
When I saw matpats video saying goodbye, I watched in years to see him go. He was such a legacy and blessing to watch. I will miss him so much.
Mat Pats speech goes HARD
fr
stampy and dantdm leaving genuinly broke my heart, they were my whole childhood. i remember going to the videos section of my crappy amazon fire tablet and watching them everyday. farewell dan and stampy and thank you for giving me a great childhood
What a birthday present for me, matpats last theory
What Tom Scott said at the end was amazing. Sad to see my and many others childhood heroes leaving, but it’s inevitable that they do someday. I atleast hope that they and we all have great lives in the future.
what a banger 🔥
ty lol
That's just inevitable. We can smile because new youtubers will rise and they will probably be better
2024 the retire event😢
stampylonghead and dantdm made me cry they literally were the two youtubers id watch THE ONLY two and now their gone
Alright guys, this is it. This one the one thing that finally pushed me over the edge. I don’t intend on coming back.
Edit: this is a joke. Please don’t take this seriously.
You wouldn’t do that, Gabriel.
Matpat he was. My childhood legend And my joy with my big brother i will miss him man him saying we arent kids anymore yeah ur true its been 8years I love you and i guess its a good time to quit Im cryinggdid
But- Dan didn't quit though-
yeah, he's just letting it go easy now, he still frequently streams and posts so I'm not sure why he's here (besides that like two month break that one time?) the video showed here isn't him quitting, it's just explaining things will be a bit different
yeah read the description
tom scott isn't exactly quitting, either. he's slowing things down and just not doing weekly uploads. mat pat is quitting in the sense he's not on screen anymore, but otherwise he's still a part of the youtube channel just not visible.
stampy is just not doing minecraft videos anymore and slowing things down
joel haver is switching to 12 feature films a year (1 per month) rather than one short film a week
in a sense all of them are not exactly quitting but making a big change that results in them not making as many videos or changing their content significantly
Thank you two for the information!
Absolutely unfortunate human but we share common interests ig
I remember watching stampy in yt kids, watching Dan as I was 5 till now, Scott and Mathew with my cousin till now and they’re all quitting…
I hate seeing them cry, I hate seeing anyone cry.
Damn, this really makes me sad, seeing all of those videos of youtubers retiring. But I'm happy too, because like stampy said, we still have the memories and our time together has made us who they are today
We can be better people, and I want them to be who they are and happy with what they're doing, and I want them to live their lives to the fullest, to be there for those they care about, and for us to let them do that and we take what they do as inspiration and apply it our own lives
We should all find happiness in our lives
Back at the time when i was 8, i loved Fnaf for its lore and gameplay, that's how I know MatPat, I sticked with him for a long time. He was my star back then, You shall be remembered, MatPat.
every good thing has an end
Sadly yes but as a old door closes a new one opens
Things will never be the same but I am thankful that these UA-camrs are giving us the great memories. Best of wishes to them for their future plans.
1:11 dan didnt quit...
yeah, he didn't, but many of the other youtubers considered to be quitting (e.g. tom scott) aren't exactly quitting. they're more so slowing down or moving to behind the scenes (mat pat). so yeah i just included him
