Densmore was a lot like Bonham in that he invented his own parts and style and was willing to stray outside the standard boundaries. Not as flashy but very original.
Great work demonstrating that here sir!
Always an adventure playing these oldies when they didn't use a click. Nicely done.
It’s been a while, but I recall all this Doors stuff being really variable with the tempo.
No le haga caso, la mejor música se grabó sin metrónomo. La perfección de lo imperfecto
Excellent! The Doors and John Densmore are one of my all time fave bands and drummers!
+rushton84 - I agree! I was a Doors fan even before I started playing drums. Thanks for watching.
Good one and really appreciate all of the camera angles in your videos
Thank you! I really appreciate you watching and the kind words.
Amazing. I'm going to have to create a word to describe how good your covers are.
+Brooke Smith - Thanks Brooke! I really appreciate your continued support of my videos. More to come...
You're welcome! I'll be waiting...
Darn fine job of playing on that great Doors classic! I really appreciate the accuracy you put forth into playing the drums on these covers! It makes all the difference.
…wow - I can see John ‘Dens’ Densmore smiling - awesome cover man 👌🏾
Beautiful man. So instructive too. Thanks for this.
Great! Solid and clean. Good job!
+Artur Reis - Thanks! I appreciate the kind words.
Nice work. You make it look easy. I prove that it's hard.. 👍
Great job man...I've enjoyed your Door covers very much..!!!
+John D - Thanks! I have 2 more yet to edit and post in the next few weeks.
very good work here , it will help me learn the song
gracias muy buenos tus covers hay pocos en HD y de buena calidad musical.
+diazpeeon - Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
Beautiful
Very good!
John Densmore’s a very underrated drummer, you got it down solid 👌🏼 them cymbals are loud af tho
Thanks! That's likely my amateur recording setup.
Sounds really good man!! Great job!!
Awesome !!!
+Francisco Boada Bolaños - Thanks!
Awesome! 🤘
Oh yes.
Thanks!
greattt covers !! you should try "when the music its over " live in europe :o
+Alvaro David Chaparro Angarita - Thanks for watching! That's a great tune, but unfortunately I do not have a drumless version of it. I think I have exhausted my stash of drumless Doors tunes with this one.
Great job Shane! You have the verse notated as straight 1/8s, but it is a shuffle correct? Or am I missing something? Thanks for all your great videos and notation!
Very good :)) :)) !!!!!!!!
+tati metal - Thanks!
I’m not a professional but my ears tell me that in the beginning shuffle it’s only the snare (no toms) and then it’s one snare hit and two high tom hits.
is the beginning of the roll 5 hits on the snare or 4
The very first thing on the snare is a 2-stroke ruff into a quarter note triplet, so 5 total strokes, but not all the same duration. I have the sheet music on my website if you are a music reader - www.redeyepercussion.com/music/LoveMeTwoTimes_TheDoors_redeyepercussion.com.pdf
Thanks for watching!
donde puedo obtener las partituras?

Hey nice cover as always could you cover the beach boys's wouldn't it be nice or maybe darlin' ? wouldn't it be nice ? ahahahahahah
+Overkille1 - Thanks for the support as always! I could totally dig into a Beach Boys cover. I don't have either of those 2 drumless, but I could get a version with a cover singer pretty easily. Let me see what's available and if any of them sound good, I cover one over my Christmas work break. Take care.
Take care i'll be watching
easy song to play...is it really necessary to have a music sheet to play this song??
If I was playing this with a band night after night, then no. I learn these songs in one day and try to be totally accurate, hence the music. It doesn't change anything besides where I am looking.
Some of us have a family, job other priorities. Not saying drumming or any instrument can't be towards the top.
