Lovely car! I have an X3 M40i myself (still stock) and actually preferred it over the X3M due to the softer suspension and torque at lower RPMs from the B58. She's going for a downpipe and ECU tune soon. The size of these cars is near perfect.

Burbles are cool imo, signature sound of a proper petrol engine. But I do agree that nowadays many people tune them to be like AK47 shots which is pathetic and stupid.
@@kraakjalg sure, it's fine when it's 'natural' and subtle on overruns. But nowadays many cars are too obnoxious from the factory, let alone when tuned. Several seconds of burbles, three times louder than the exhaust note, everytime you lift at 2k RPM, or even just rev the car in neutral, are childish and stupid IMO. When it sounds like the engine just cleared it's throat, it's perfect. When it sounds like gunshots it's obnoxious and ruins the car for me.
