Thank you! That means a lot. On another note, there's many recaps on this game? I'd like to see other peers in this genre. Sounds like I have some research to do.
Found this through one of your Reddit comments whilst looking into whether I need play the older Tomb Raider games before starting to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This is an amazing summary and very useful, thanks a lot. Edit: Just finished the video, definitely earned a new subscriber!
Completed this game quite a while back and forgot most of it so wanted to recap before playing Shadow of tomb raider, thanks for such a great summary! Ps In my mind I was confused between scenes of Tomb raider 2013 and rise of tomb raider but now thanks to you I remembered everything!!
Thanks, i've been playing this two times now, but never finished it, for what ever reason, and didnt have the endurance to go through it a third time to play Shadow
I keep playing the series whenever I need a pick me up to like gameing again. Shadow starts in a vague place compared to the start of rise so i appreciate it.
Dude, I was mind blown when I thought Jacob was the immortal prophet who had created and made warriors and hidden metropolis to protect and secure the Source of divine for centuries... Imagine if someone out there who is an immortal, but never spoke thereof in real life. Who also witnessed the Greeks, The Romans, The Great Pyramid, and perhaps even Jesus.
Man, i wish i had actually finished it. Its unfortunately really long. lol I enjoyed Jacob... I think this game had alot of heart but was lacking a soul because it was so stretched out that you didnt get enough dense character interaction. This is Squeenix fault...they keep doing this. If you are going to do some sort of large epic semi open world game, you need to include some sort of Bteam to get your heart and soul back into the middle parts of the game where you are just exploring, for all of the side characters you meet and interact with you should have some sort of animated or vocal element to those side quests that make them memorable and endearing. This is something i think Ghost of Tsushima did very well, and i hope the next TR does it well too.
Im just bummed sofia wasn't there when jacob died? Di she knew her father was the prophet. They've missed a lot on sofia. They didn't even show her in the end.
well they did show her in the end, you just have to go back into the game after credits are over and youll see what happened but yeah i agree, i wish we got more on her as well
If and when they announce a new Tomb Raider game. I currently have a full schedule and barely any time to produce, so I don't see myself covering the third entry any time soon.
+Symmetrical PhantomFox Gameplay wise it's more Tomb Raider, in a good way. They added a couple of things that made it better. And I do so enjoy it's gunplay.
I've given up playing Rise after loving TR2013 because the mechanics and quality are worse than some PS2 games. Now that I know the story, I'm even more glad I didn't finish it. The story is mostly predictable except for the Jacob twist, which detracts from the game because a lesser god is a pretty overpowered ally to have. Hey-ho, onto Shadow I guess
This game is a masterpiece, save from the insane amount of historical incoherence about the Soviets, describe in the game more like a Nazism variant. As a working class revolution to end the exploration done by the rich and to take control of the country, the Red Army would never employ use of slave labor like the game described. It is one of the main principles of Communism: No man shall be explored by other man. If the devs need to make communist the villains no matter what, they could look into the excess of persecution against people who were against the revolution. That would be more historical accurate.
The video is nice, thx for that, but the game has the worst story! Especially the end is so frustrating because it makes no sense and makes you very angry. I would not recommend the game but fortunately now I know I don‘t have to buy another Tomb Raider game ...
omg, I'm 4 minutes in, such a dumb uninteresting story, wtf, this is contemporary AAA video game production?. 2013 TR was a good game at least but I'll never finish the Rise - thanks for this recap. I'm about to start the last game, hope that one is better...//edit after finishing the video: I've probably never seen a short student film with the plot worse than this :D
I just beat this game and still needed a recap lol
Same here
100% lol
same here
Same here 😂
Best recap I've seen. And I've seen many since I played it a long time ago
Thank you! That means a lot.
On another note, there's many recaps on this game? I'd like to see other peers in this genre. Sounds like I have some research to do.
Fast and clear but not robotic, thanks!👍
And very good editing of the images.
Very helpful, needed this before playing shadow of the tomb raider
That's what I'm here for. Glad to be of help! I hope you enjoy Shadow of the Tomb Raider!
You're awesome bro. No stutters, no mistakes, straight storytelling. I wish I could speak like this. 😭😭
Thanks! Though editing helps a lot, haha.

Ps In my mind I was confused between scenes of Tomb raider 2013 and rise of tomb raider but now thanks to you I remembered everything!!
Glad to help. Have fun with Shadow!
Same here lol. Because I saw the movie, I thought I played TR 2013, but apparently I only played ROTR! Well.. Onto Shadow!

Your welcome. Hope you enjoy the game!
Thanks, i've been playing this two times now, but never finished it, for what ever reason, and didnt have the endurance to go through it a third time to play Shadow
Thank you for the recap, i needed it, i start to play the game again after 1 year of not playing it and it didn't make any sense to me anymore.
amazing recap! Thank you lore logs 🤩
Glad to help!
This is the best recap i've ever seen! Thank you so much man!
Great summary for both TR and ROTR. I can now enjoy Shadow!
Thanks for the great video, please keep doing these kinds of videos. They are really helpful.
I'll be back to making them at some point. Glad you found it helpful!
I keep playing the series whenever I need a pick me up to like gameing again. Shadow starts in a vague place compared to the start of rise so i appreciate it.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I know is an old video. But thanks for the good quality
It may be old, but I still read the comments. Thanks for watching!
With this, I'm ready for this month's PS Plus game - Shadow of the Tomb Raider! Thanks a ton!
I’m in it right now, I already watched his other vid about the first reboot I can’t wait to play
Jonah is basically The Weeknd in Game
About to start Shadow and forgot all of this stuff, great video. Wish Rise had a more memorable story.
thank you for the recap sir. Twas very helpful remembering the second game, before playing shadow of the tomb raider.
lol the whole story can be summarised in a sentence: Lara want to do something, THEN THE TRINITY ATTACKED 😂😂😂
Man I'm almost near the end and needed this to understand the last mission haha
Not what I thought these videos would be used for. But if it helped, I'm glad.
This channel deserves to be big
Thank you.
great videos man!! I was about to finally start Shadow but I played a looong time ago the first two, now I'm all set!!! THANKS!!!

Cure for the "I have no memory of this place" pickup of your save game.
Haha! Hadn't thought of that before, but that's awesome.
Nice vid! I beat it last year but I needed a recap. I’m just starting shadow now.
I beat Rise last year, and I’m going for the plat on Shadow atm. I wish I’d watched this before I started my first Shadow play through as a reminder!
Great video and nice voice over. Thank u.
Nice you did both! Hey uh, thanks man!
Man, i wish i had actually finished it. Its unfortunately really long. lol
I enjoyed Jacob...

thanks , you saved me from playing that game full of glitches and horrible antialising 🥰 .
Earned yourself a sub. Thank you!
No, thank YOU.
This was great I played through about 70% of this and I lost my save and never went back to it. Now about to play shadow.
Im just bummed sofia wasn't there when jacob died? Di she knew her father was the prophet. They've missed a lot on sofia. They didn't even show her in the end.

Thanks of the Video! !😁👍🏻😃
I don't get why after destroying the divine source, you can still end up fighting deathless soldiers in Kitezh, shouldn't they have all perished?
About to start shadow i had forgotten story and its characters completely
Thanks!
When are you gonna do Shadow? Love your videos. Thanks.
If and when they announce a new Tomb Raider game. I currently have a full schedule and barely any time to produce, so I don't see myself covering the third entry any time soon.
Thanks! I will play this soon

Cheers dude
Thank you much. Now I can the shadow of the tomb raider
Great to watch before shadow of the tomb raider!
also 10:25 was awesome
That's the idea! Now you're ready to jump into Shadow!
And thanks for the compliment. I do try to throw in a joke here or there.
Please upload story of shadow of tomb raider
Sadly, since it's a new game, I can't afford it. Plus, I've already got my schedule worked out for the next couple of videos.
Thanks I was lost which game was which I played shadow thinking it was second game lol 😂
Thanks
This is great.
Thank you.
Perfect recap!
Thank you!
Very helpful, was planning to play shadow of the tomb raider cuz rotr is a big disappointment compared to tomb raider 2013

told you i’d be here
+Chandler York Welcome back! Did you enjoy the video?
But what is the source
The game
Lmao.. I meant the magic item
i loved the first one, but i just couldnt finish the second one. The story was kinda boring to me :(
Who was shocked after knowing that Jacob was the immortal prophet ?
TR 2013 is the best
The video is nice, thx for that, but the game has the worst story! Especially the end is so frustrating because it makes no sense and makes you very angry. I would not recommend the game but fortunately now I know I don‘t have to buy another Tomb Raider game ...
I guess "because magic" was a good enough explanation (it was for me). In any case, at least the gameplay is very enjoyable.
She is so beautiful
