Hi Sharp. The Xtreme 3 system razor from the early 00s is miles better than the disposable version. It can still be bought today online. Wilkinson sword's disposable blades aren't so great compared to their system ones. Just treated myself to the Leaf Twig recently. Very good shave. Would make a good review.
Looks like the lube strip is causing that annoying glue like substance when cutting thro the shaving cream, as said before any lube strip razor works better using the tin goo. Cheers🍻🥃
Cheers Dan. I have tried the tinned goo but doesn't seem to make much difference. It was the Gillette labs stuff. Maybe I'll get something from the bottom shelf and see how that goes. Thanks as always !
Hi Earl. Excuse my poor pronunciation. I was saying Boldking. But you are right. Others have told me they are the same razor just marketed differently. Boldking and Defender are the same. Cheers for the comment. How do you like your Defender?
@@sharpshaves I thought they called or sold the Defender in GB and Europe under a different name but wasn’t sure. I love my Defender. It doesn’t drag like the Mac 3 and has the feel of a DE razor but with the comfort (nic free) and quickness of a cartridge razor. Some people complain that it’s not sharp enough (maybe true) but it’s still very smooth.

If using tin goo, the original Gillette shaving foam in the black and red can priced at £1.25 does the job👌
That “Bolky” razor looks exactly like my Defender razor.
