You have not experienced a cramp until you get one in the front of the thigh area. Good God the pain is incredible. Then just as it starts going away you could feel it rumbling to come back and you have to brace yourself for more pain. Absolutely terrible.

@@Mslouve1 I experienced my first inner thigh spasm last month and I thought I was dying...most excruciatingly horrifying pain ever! A leg cramp normally goes away by stretching or walking, but the inner thigh nothing worked, lasted close to 15 minutes. I had to crouch in pain till it went away...my groin felt like it was being ripped apart. Will try the mustard if it ever happens again.

Here is the cure I have used for most of my life. Pinch your upper lip!- hard! If the pain is really really bad, then pinch your upper lip with both hands. The pain sensation/ nerve endings from your lip is much closer to your brain than your legs, so the pain is reduced. Stand up and the cramp will gradually release. Many people keep a pack of mustard on their bed stand. The principle is the same- the very strong taste of the mustard fires the nerve endings in your mouth which are very close to your brain.

Just take 500mg of magnesium at bedtime or during the day sometime. Sometimes I take it twice a day. Magnesium relaxes muscles and calcium causes them to tighten. If I drink too much milk or eat too much cereal with milk, I get too much calcium and my calves cramp at night. Same with too much cheese. Then, I’ll take magnesium.

I think you're right! On googleing what causes these leg cramps I found that the lack of magnesium could be the cause. When researching what foods contain magnesium (because I didn't want to swallow another pill), I found that fruits, juices, and leafy green veggies all contain magnesium. I knew right away that these foods were probably my problem because I don't eat fruits and juices and only eat leafy green vegetables now & then. Within 3 days of incorporating these in my diet, my leg cramps at night have stopped. THANK GOD!

I take a capsule of magnesium when I wake up with muscle spasms in my calf, but after watching this video and reading the comments how some find relief from pickle juice etc, I'm remembering what my herbalist told me on my first muscle test. He said my body was low in salt, which confused me because I put salt on everything! He told me I wasn't eating the right salt. He told me to buy Redmond's Sea Salt, as it still has all of the minerals in it and that's what my body needed. He told me to take a quarter-sized dose of the salt every morning. I couldn't believe how much better I felt! My cramps stopped, my heart didn't race anymore and I was able to stop taking Xanax for the "anxiety" I thought I had. Turned out I just needed salt. I ran out of this special salt 6 months ago, and now I'm getting leg cramps again. Time to buy more

Jean Medley ... Oh my lord! Postphone the surgery and try the Tonic Water therapy instead of letting someone cut your body up!!! My pharmacist recommended this cheap treatment 30 years ago and it has worked on millions of people for many decades!
Tonic Water has quinine in it which has also been used for other ailments, but doctors don't suggest you use it because they want to keep busy doing unnecessary surgeries because it pays for their new yacht or their kid's new BMW.
Get a big bottle of Tonic Water at any grocery store today and gulp down a glassful tonight and praise the lord!!! Take charge of your body! Don't make things complicated for yourself! Avoid the guys with knives!

The cramps I’ve gotten and get that deserve the Oscar Award 🥇 for the most excruciating pain are hamstring cramps. That’s like half your body in one giant screaming 😱 cramp. I’ll get them in both legs at the same time usually while sitting and sometimes in bed. The best thing I’ve found to alleviate them is to drink about 8 ounces of a 50/50 mix of apple cider vinegar and water.

This may sound crazy but when you wake up in the middle of the night with a leg cramp, you'll try almost anything to feel relief. I take by mouth one tablespoon full of yellow mustard, sometimes two. While you are swallowing the mustard, you can feel the cramp draining away. I told my girlfriend and she said she could never do that. I said to her that she must enjoy the leg cramps or else she would try it out. The next time I spoke with her, she said it really worked for her. Swallowing mustard is much better than suffering with the cramp.

A side effect reported for statins is back and muscle pain. If you're suffering from inexplicable muscle/back pain which doesn't respond to PT check your medications. Another mystery ailment which is rarely diagnosed properly is flouride toxicity which can produce arthritis-like symptoms in some people even at levels considered safe by EPA according to some studies. Drinking a lot of tap water to stay hydrated and have mysterious aches and pains? Check your water's flouride level. The effects of flouride toxicity can be reversed just by drinking flouride free water (bottled or filtered). Most quality residential filters will trap flouride.

I get severe cramps all the way from my groin to my toes. I have to take five 500 mg capsules of magnesium as a single dose. But I can only do it for the maximum of three days. I need to review that video again. Can you reload it on UA-cam please

I just started getting cramps in my inner thighs at night AND OUCH!!! What the heck??? I’m 51 with Crohn’s disease and K workout everyday. I like to mix my workouts up so I do Pilates, yoga, ballet, walking and use my total gym. I’m thinking maybe I’m not warming up enough or not stretching right? Any advice is greatly appreciated! My Dr’s are aware and uped my potassium but no relief. Now last night I did some stretching exercises I learned from another video and slept all night! But that doesn’t always work. It also helps if I don’t eat sugar.❤❤

I'm like you, scouring UA-cam at 3am, desperately trying to find nformation on inner thigh cramps. They are the worst (and I've had lots in different parts of my legs).
Tonight I had a cramp in both inner thighs at once.
How the f... do I fix that? It was agonising, and I've had three labours, gallstones, and kidney stones and these cramps were right up there in the pain stakes.
Can't seem to find anything about these particular cramps.

I am a 69 year old female commenting on my husband's site. I get terrible calf charlie-horses, and my frontal shin muscles and ankles involuntarily seize up and forces my feet to turn inward almost like club feet feeling. It's scary, painful, and tiresome. Is it due to hormones? I wear a hormone patch of estrogen.

Oh my goodness! I think you have given me the answer that I was looking for. I donate plasma twice a week. I am 71. I started getting leg cramps in my legs and feet at night only. I was thinking maybe it was from that because of the saline at the end of the donation. I must not be drinking enough water after. I drink water while waiting in line for my turn and after.
2 times I had a reaction afterward where I had to stop what I was doing and put my head between my legs, and my fingers felt like they had electricity running through them. Sweating and lightheaded and weak. I eat before I go. However, by the time I get checked in, it's 2 hours. My donation takes approximately 40 minutes. Afterward, I feel fine, but if I don't get home within 2 hrs that happens. Both times, I ran a few errands while on the way home. I had to call someone the last time, and I was walking like I was drunk. I felt exhausted, and I didn't do anything for 2 hours but ate and drank water. The 1st time, I called 911, but it was ok. The paramedics told me you have to eat before. Now I get the cramps in my legs and toes. I have been to the doctor, and my blood work was perfect. Should I not do this? You can only drink so much water because when you have the needle in your arm, you can't get up to go to the bathroom. Now, I am not so sure if I should be doing this. I am very active and walk to the store, etc. I don't sleep well at all to begin with. Do you suppose this is my answer? Thanks for posting this..🥰

I subbed because even though I am British I find myself visiting your channel a fair bit since I started my post lockdown get fit regime and also since I broke my radius and ulna in April 21. Its only fair...you supply good info so I have no problem liking and subscribing.
If you can help with the leg cramps (I actually dream I am being bitten by a large dog or a crocodile) that would be amazing but I have had these for over 50 years so I am not expecting them to go away, just anything that helps! Mine do it so bad it feels like theyre going to break the bone or tear but maybe its worse because I have ridden horses since childhood and have pretty well developed calves. Oh I will try that with my resistance bands (I have a house full of fitness things now I am ancient lol! no it really makes you feel so much better just walking every day!). Amlodipine...espescially makes you have cramps, sore legs and a bit of fluid retention in your ankles.

I have no idea how to explain muscle cramps… But from my experience they only occur when I’m stretching too hard. Yes it can happen in my sleep but that’s because I was stretching in my sleep, you don’t think that you can? There’s no way of you knowing that you were trying to Stretch in your sleep because you are asleep. I mean you could record yourself but that’s a lot of effort. Otherwise muscle cramps are easy to handle as far as I know it. They go away instantly as long as you keep the muscles moving. You got a Charlie horse on your calf you say? Rotate your foot. Point your toe away from you the towards you and twirl it around. On your hip? Do leg lifts. Shoulder? Rotate your arm in circles, and move about your head side to side. They’ll instantly go away. The idea of when trying to cure the pain, and even before it comes, is to keep the muscle moving, not stretch it more, holding still makes it worse, so if course don’t hold still.
These guys are probably right, consuming these things will probably help in the long run for future incidents but for simple on the spot cure this works best. Also. Yoga.

I’m not as consistent in these later years walking, more in the warmer days than the colder, but during the covid year I’ve really built my days and distance. UNFORTUNATELY🤣, recently I’ve started getting Charlie horses and the tenderness and soreness has stayed 🤷🏼‍♀️, but not during my walking??? Any ideas, oh and I started taking cholesterol medicine?

I’m having these charley horses for a while from my feet up through by stomach and back. My potassium magnesium calcium and electrolytes seem to be t the right level. When I’m under the covers it starts in my foot. I point my feet down to get it to stop. I removed the covers to give my feet some space to move. I think my problem is coming from chemo Nevalbine because after and sometimes during chemo it starts up. I need a better mattress right now I’m trying a memory topper.
