I’m sitting by the bedside of my husband. We’ve been together 40 years. He is my love, my life. He had a heart attack 3 days ago. He was standing right next to me in our kitchen. I started CPR and my son was able to take over until EMS arrived. I begged with every ounce of my being for God to spare him and give me more time..to tell him how much I love him..my granddaughter and son and I, huddled together in prayer and one of the firemen bowed his head with us..they got a pulse and here we are, his brain function is 100 percent. Thank you Jesus. Never in my life was I so immediately filled with fear..and I immediately took it to Jesus. God is good and and the miracles are abundant. We are never together at that hour of the day..he had been to town, out on the ranch, fed the animals..etc. but, he was right there beside me..and my son who is never home was right there..Be not afraid…thank you for this gift of song..all of you. 🙏 ❤️ 🕊️

I lost my husband of 51+. Years I was laying with him and he did not wake up. I’ve been here tonight for 3 hours crying our time is over. Make the most of every day. I continue to pray.
How beautiful, I have always loved this song! I was a practicing Catholic all my life, active in so many aspects of the parish, I found myself at church more than home. The one thing that I loved so much was choir and cantoring.. In 1993, I suffered a mental breakdown and still have been unable to handle any commitments where I have to be somewhere at a certain time. I am now 70 years old and hearing this song this morning, well, it touched my very soul. I felt like my grandmother, mother, father, aunts, all who have passed on, felt like they were reaching out to me to not be afraid.
We also had it played for my brother ,who I lost April 18. This year

Two years ago I listened to this song in the car before each radiation treatment. I listened to this beautiful song for 5 weeks. It gave me the hope and strength I needed before entering the facility. This was before Covid boosters were available. It gave me great peace of mind and I still listen to it occasionally. Thank you.

My husband passed away 6 weeks ago tonight and because of the virus we could only have a graveside service for 10 people, including the priest and funeral director. We played this song. The lyrics and melody are so comforting. Thank you for posting.

This hymn was sung at my Father’s funeral. He was a servant of God. I pray that I see my Dad when I die. Music has always transcended meaning. I thank God’s grace for me with this hymn. Mary
We played this at my dad’s funeral. He was such a devote Catholic and such a wonderful person. Whenever I miss him I sing this song. He died in 2004 on Easter Sunday. I love you, daddy❤

Sorry for your loss, Mary and Bill. I have lost my father on Jan 2021 from a tragic accident which was my biggest nightmare and God was the only strength which kept me sane and moving forward one step at a time. Though I was so upset with God to take my dad that way, all those prayful people God sent my way was an enough reminder that God is real and he has a purpose out of all this. He passed Jan 6th a terrible day for other reasons..
Dad said goodbye..... ask myself and brothers to be sure Mom is okay.... but for me it's not okay..... My father was a brilliant business man..

@@billmason2785. Sorry that your father suffered a long time before his departure. Hope you all are coping better. I do not think you are being selfish but realising his absence in every possible way. My father passed away from an accident which I pleaded God not to allow to happen to him as I lost my father figure school teacher from the exact the same kind of accident about 30 years ago. Life can be cruel but God is constant though it can take awhile to accept this. Today is Father's day where I am and you feel the absence ever more so acutely. Someone once said that grief is like the ocean and it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Still, it is surreal that I spent Father's day at his grave. But, one day, I will get to hug him again. That's what keeps me going. Hope you draw your strength from God to take one day at a time, too. God bless

This song was my rock, my mantra when I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 30- a million years ago. I would have it blaring as I went through scans, tests, and xrays and waited agonizing days to hear test results. I would have it blaring as I waited in the car pool line to pick up my daughter from kindergarten, or chase my 10 month old down to change his diaper. It was in my head as I prepared for and recovered from surgery. I would cling to it. I was overwhelmed with emotion and memories as I listened to it today through a Facebook post. God was so present to me as I listened to this song- then and now. There are no words to express how grateful I am for this message from God. Thanknyou for this beautiful rendition.m

Although your thoughts are a very popular theology these days, I must reply to your theology. The Bible warns us not to be swayed by theology that caters to "itching ears". What does that mean? An easy, or popular theology. A theology that appeals to the masses even though it is not true. There is nothing easy about living in Christ in this day and age. It is only in "abiding" in His Holy Spirit, JOHN 15: first verse and onwards, that one can do so. The Bible also says that His way will NOT be popular. Check your theology against the word of God always in order to be correct!!!!!

When I was 8 years old, I asked my divorced mom if I could go to Catholic school. She sent me for 4 years. We weren't Catholic! I thanked her on her death bed for giving me Catholic school, and 30 years later, my Catholic faith.

Me too...i sang this lastweek in our group daily Prayer Hour Online i still can't help it but i broke to tears 💔 I still continued with broken voices as my piano did its job to keep it going. The group said, they couldn't hear me well on some parts of the song but they were unaware I was crying and tried to keep my self ❤ together. This song is a saving song for me everytime I feel alone.

It stays in my heart
I lost my wonderful father and friend on 1/1/22. Unfortunately due to being extremely ill with Covid, I was unable to attend his funeral and say goodbye.
But he knows that I was there in spirit and this beautiful hymn was one of his favorites and also my beloved mother who predeceased him 4 years earlier….
The end was the most poignant moment, as it sounded like a congregation singing. I had forgotten that sound.

September 1987, 33 years ago....When St Pope John Paul II came onto the stadium's field in his open Pope-mobile...I could feel the power of the Holy Spirit go from one end of the stadium as he rode to the other side, it was beautiful, powerful and very holy.
I was there with my parents, now my Dad will be 97 in October and Mom will be 95 in August. Could I be so bold to ask for y'all's prayers, please!?! My Dad was discharged from the hospital yesterday (after a 5 day UTI infection)...from there he has been admitted to an assisted living, small (4) group for men. He is continually falling...which has made it hard for my sister who is tending to our Mom who has been bedridden for the past 4-5 years. Please pray for healing, conversions, forgiveness, & renewed faith in Our Lord & His Sacraments. Thank you! ~!~ God bless us all!+++!

My mother was in a church choir and they were extremely good, When they sang this song, the typical murmuring in a church absolutely stopped. She was a soprano and had a lovely voice. One of the other sopranos in the choir lost her daughter to cancer at the age of 16 and When they led the casket out of the church the Mother was right behind the casket just blasting out this song with the choir singing behind her. Even back then, I was emotional and as I looked around in the church peoples bodies were trembling with emotion and most were crying uncontrollably. It's 45 years later and I still remember it. I saw my mother singing as well with tears on her face. Of course, I understand that so much better now. I miss you mom and think of you often.
