    We have 8 Aerogardens in various sizes. Growing Cherry tomatoes, mini tomatoes, herbs, and lots of lettuce! Love them for indoor gardening! -Diane

    Heard you mention Arugula. Also known a Rocket in some parts of the world 🌎. I have four Aerogardens. I grow arugula year round with lettuce, dill, basil, parsley, and a couple other herbs. Thumbs 👍 up for your video.

    I tried using rockwool in my AeroGarden before, and I used to disregard the pod all together and just cut off the corners of a rockwool cube to make it fit. I never thought of using two pieces of rockwool in a pod like that, thank you for the idea! Would literally double the use of my rockwool, and prevent roots from growing into the drip chambers.

    For anyone using aero nutrients make sure you shake before each use otherwise there will be too much nutrients in the bottom and your plants will die of nutrient burn.

    I love my Aerogarden! I have 2 and one of them currently has a broken air pump, but I just ordered a new one and am looking forward to the difference it will make for my sorrel I currently have in the unit. I never thought to use a second piece of rockwool for the buffer - that's genius! That's what I'm using now because I don't have any more of the original pods. The versatility is wonderful!

    That's amazing how quickly some of those vegetables grow! BTW, the tatsoi seeds you sent sprouted in like 1 day and germination is at 100%! Amazing. I was late in starting it, so we'll see how it goes with growing it hydroponically and a couple outside.

      HersheyTV I’d get a grow light of amazon. Aero gardens cost 15 bucks per set of plants vs seeds. Get a smart timer if light is your concern or a self watering reservoir one if water is your worry. I got a grow light from my parents last Christmas and it’s awesome. It has self watering and I bought a cheap time for it. If your interested I can send you a link.

    Do you think we need the labels on the seed pods on the top? Or can we leave them without a label? When you add water in 2 weeks...How do you know how much nutrients to add?
    Do you add the amount for the whole tank?
    Thank You

    Quick question: if you plant seeds in one of these what lighting setting do you use? Do you start with low light then increase the light intensity after the seedlings emerge?

    • @KhangStarr
      @KhangStarr  9 місяців тому

      You can use the same settings throughout.

    If you were limited to using the Kratky method, instead of using an Aerogarden, how often would you need to change out the nutrient solution from the reservoir? If you need to top off the reservoir, would you need to further dilute the additional nutrient solution like you did in the video with the Aerogarden and by what percentage? Thanks! I enjoy your videos and you provide good information.

    @Khang Starr.. Very Nice...why do you use second piece of rock wool? I have about 50 aerogrow sponges..can I use them? Why only 5 ml if you have a 9 pod system? Where can up get rock wool?

    • @baneverything5580
      @baneverything5580 2 роки тому

      I bought a large cube of rock wool on Amazon. You just follow the directions on the nutrient bottle. 5 ml per liter of water or whatever.

    Great looking system. The plants are looking great. One method to avoid smaller plants left behind is to plant only one strain per hydrosystem. They get equal amount of nutrients because they have more equal needs.

      Put it on flower when you see blooms on the tomatoes. It won`t harm lettuce.

      Aerogardens have a pump to bring the water up to the top of every pod which runs 5 minutes at a time 2 times an hour. It has a built in timer for the lights. You can add an air stone if you want.

    • @baneverything5580

      I use MaxiGro and this brand but from what I`ve seen MaxiGro is superior. It comes in powder form and you add one to two teaspoons per gallon so it`s easy to mix.
