    This woman is taking more loving, sustainable care of the soil in her raised boxes on a balcony in an apartment than monocrop farmers are on their acres of land. We need more regenerative agriculture enthusiasts- thank you for this lovely video!

    Thank you! I’m in the US and accidentally read too much news at once, which can amplify my anxiety. I was starting to panic and then I heard someone talking about gardening, which started to calm me. Then I sought out “gardening” videos on UA-cam and found this. I’m now calm again and so grateful.
    Also this video was wonderfully informative on the topic, and I really appreciate the captioning as well. I’m autistic and captioning helps (even if there are spoken words-it helps to have the visual as well, regardless of hearing ability [it’s a processing issue]).

    “The only thing you should spend good money on is soil”. Thanks for the most precious advice though I learned it the hard way. Spending 6 months to grow out a few tomato trees from seeds made me extremely happy. However, I wasn’t able to harvest their fruits due to the diseases. The tree rotted day by day with their green fruits on :(

      Calcium deficiency :( Also for tomatoes many other nutrients - Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Iron, Sulphur and Boron are also required in small quantities

Boil 4 or 5 Jalapenos or any hot pepper.a head of garlic Cayenne will work but it takes more .on a grill in a Dutch oven or stock pot filled with WATER Add Sesame oil 3 TBL SPNS.A few citrus peels. Squirt of dish soap. Boil with lid till soft avoid getting steam in face. Let cool strain through an old hin dish towel panty hose or a piece of thin t shirt inside a commander. Press through with a spoon.Use a chafing tank and spray daily the first week then every 3 to 4 to allow the good bugs to pollinate . after you set fruit you can spray more or less . it works..

Even in this small space I wouldn't know what to do with it!! If anyone is reading this this is really really good advice ...don’t take it for granted because a lot of these things I had to learn the hard way start off by figuring out what zone you live in and how much sun you get because a lot of my plants did not “thrive” by my non-south facing balcony!

  • @StarOnTheWater
    @StarOnTheWater 3 роки тому +7

    You are absolute right! Don't waste money on plants that are not going to thrive under the conditions at hand.
    My balcony gets over 50 C in the summer, you can't water enough, so I switched all the decorative plants to succulents, crassulacae, grasses and such. They flower like crazy, I'm happy, bees are happy, and I can grow some veggies in the few shaded spots. 🙂

    Estaba esperando tu video. Nunca te he hecho una pregunta pero sé que muchos de tus suscriptores te hacen preguntas y quiero preguntarte algunas. Cómo haces para comenzar tus rutinas durante la semana. Tus rutinas son siempre las mismas o diferentes. Eres constante en tus rutinas. Qué es lo que te motiva aparte de tu linda familia y en que piensas cuando haces un video. Realmente admiro tu trabajo me encanta la calidad de tus videos

    mình luôn cảm thấy yên bình khi xem những clip của gia đình bạn làm :) 2 vợ chồng mình có một bé nhỏ bé hơn An nhà bạn một chút nên cũng rất bận rộn. bọn mình không có thời gian đi xem phim ở rạp cùng nhau từ khi có con nhỏ. nhưng sau khi xem clip của bạn mình thấy rất thích thái độ sống lạc quan và tràn đầy năng lượng của bạn. bọn mình bắt đầu làm bỏng, ngô, chuẩn bị nước và xem phim cùng nhau ở nhà vào những cuối tuần khi con đã ngủ. và còn nhiều điều khác mà mình có thể học đc từ cuộc sống của bạn. cảm ơn bạn và gia đình đã luôn truyền cảm hứng và thái độ sống tích cực cho rất nhiều người khác. bé An chắc hẳn là một cô bé cực kì hạnh phúc :) chúng mình sẽ tiếp tục theo dõi và ủng hộ các video mà sắp tới của bạn. cố lên nhé!
