Obedience is a good tool. It can be used to make nuns lie down for bishops, as we have seen. It can be used for embezzling diocesan properties, to make beautiful female laity lie down to the clergy, ... But all the laity may not be willing to accept this obedience e without conviction.

The word "Hierarchy" is butchered here and taken out of context. Unlike the example he quoted, the authority of any catholic denomination doesn't come from bottom to top, but the other way. Thats why we believe in the apostolic succession ie priests are ordained by laying hands. This makes sure that priests remain in submission to the authorities through discipleship as Jesus intended. Body of Christ resembles an olive tree, not a pyramid. Remember gentile churches are grafted to the olive tree. Churches in rebellion will be cut off and thrown into fire...

I normally put the homily of all fathers through the sieve of my logic to critically evaluate the validity. However, this video surpasses or bypasses all my quality measures. A remarkable and unique style of interacting directly with my subconscious mind. The Biblical references goes into the heart bypassing the brain. Subtle, yet convincing! Mild, but captivating! I thank the Holy Spirit to enlightening the hearts of our fathers. They speak the language of the Shepherd: simple, but powerful. Not even a word is outstanding. Its cadence is not like that of the Synod, which is of power, brutality and obstinacy.

Fr. I would like to ask you a simple question how much time you have to turn to madbhaha for synad qurbana. First you have to obey Pope then try to change as you required. We think some of your priests in leading this opposition have some agenda to divide this church. So my humble request to all the laity and sisters not to attend this old qurbana otherwise near the future the ekm ank archdiocese become another church. No doubt. Any one required to continue in catholic Church have to obey Pope. These priests think that nothing will happen to this archdiocese as all of the priests and laity supporting them. Tell us what will happen if you pray for 15 minutes towards madbhaha. This is also bishop Josep kariyil thinking if the church is divided he becomes the leader of this church. Find out a new name for your Church. We pray for these priests to bless the god for open their eyes.

Once upon a time, Catholic clergy was using obedience to make beautiful women lie down to them. If they don't, there were many means to chastise them, including witch hunting and inquisition. I hope you and your family members would be happy to obey this manner. GOOD!! Keep it up. But we EKAM are not. There are canon law governing obedience. It is not just mob of hooligans called Synod to dictate things.. what can be dictated and what cannot be are in the Canon. This is 21st century. No one would blindly obey.

I see the PYRAMID analogy applicable to the Malabar Synod in 3 other ways:
1. Pyramids are tombs of Egyptian Pharaohs. The leaders of Malabar church are DEAD inside. Also SYNOD and PYRAMID sound eerily similar!
2. The phrase "pyramid scheme" refers to people on the top of the pyramid exploiting people at the bottom (financially) but it is applicable today in church politics too.
3. The symbol of Church as a pyramid is no longer valid. Vatican Council 2 defined Church as "People of God". Nobody is on top, nobody is at the bottom. ALL are equally children of God, same status, different roles.
For Christ's sake, can we get rid of Pyramids and Synods and go back to the Gospels.
For the best analogy and example, just look at Jesus. He sat around a table AMONG his disciples, not ABOVE them. He even knelt down to wash their feet.
I am APPALLED and AMAZED that the Malabar bishops don't see that example of Jesus whose cross they show off on their hats and their chains?
It is a DEPLORABE dereliction of duty on the part of the Synod!

Strength of the laity is in the catholic church the first. Not canon law ,not pope , not cardinal ,not bishop ,not priests . because everything is done by the laity .Is thre any doubt ?
