Im sure the people in charge of Yellow have been paying themselves very well.
Fuk Yellow 🖕🏾
You would be correct
@ochomigos and yet the working class should sacrifice their pensions. so f ing tired of these people. glad the Teamsters finally have a leader who isn't putting up with it. I sincerely hope it's just not all for show.
No, private equity paid themselves with that $500 million loan that Yellow is responsible for. I wish more Americans understood what private equity is doing to us
Yes they have for years and years
A corporation with 69 vice president's countless people working from home, way top heavy, rising and falling shares, (can you say insider trading)
Power to the people
😂 they are shutting down. Lots of people with no job after this week.
Don't listen to these trolls. With the hard work from drivers and the teamster, they have reached an agreement with one of biggest raises and benefits
UPS next please
I would still quit that company lol
YOU PAYING ATTENTION UPS!?
It's like NEMF, they closed doors with a 3 day notice, took pensions away, no severance. Fucking ridiculous.
What deal? The company is bankrupt.
Yellow is shutting its doors, they just laid off all the workers in the Newpenn Providence terminal! The upper management for yellow just ran this company into the grave it's officially over!
I worked for a security company years ago at a New Penn terminal near Scranton PA.
It was a good site to work.
@@jeffkardosjr.3825I’ve never been to PA. I expect to fly in December.
UPS is an annual multibillion dollars corporation, not sure why paying your workers a livable wage is that difficult.
Stingyness contracts are corrupt by the upper management specially when they can’t keep there own word
This backfired. Glad i left 4 years ago and went to UPS. Talk about crisis averted
All the customers have left them it’s only postponed the inevitable
I'm a Yellow driver and here's what's going to happen. Yellow agreed to pay this in 30 days, if they pay this
there's nothing to say that they won't lay more people off or close the doors in 30 day's. Now remember Yellow only has $100M in liquidity and are appr. $1.2B in debt, they have lost all there customer base,
and no one is looking to buy them out especially with that much debt and they have not started paying back on the $700M from the government. That makes them almost $2B in debt. Yellow likes to give them selves bonus's when least convenient. I think there just kicking-the-can down the road and buying some time. Because remember Yellow will still want to give there exe. a big exit bonus and that $52M that they say they will pay Central States would make a real good amount to get there exit bonus from.
If they do they should go straight to prison
Damn sounds right
You think ups will follow threw there plan or face the same my brother works for ups with these great jobs a lot is at stake
If yellow ain’t paying the dues that’s a problem. However the teamies pulverized themselves right into layoffs so I guess laid off guys is a union win still. 😂 y’all make no sense
You predicted the future
It doesn’t help if u work for them got the notice they gnna pay for 30day for health and the next morning they lay u off!
Take this time to move and to save your money before it disappears.
Yellow is the dirtiest player in the game. The Rick Flair of freight!
WoooOOO
@@chewyalba9824 😂😂😂😂😂
Welp, this didn’t age well, LMAO.
I don’t think yellow will be able to recover. As of today my husband is a union worker at the Phoenix terminal, a bunch of dock workers walked out today. He’s the only driver and they are asking him to deliver the last of loads that are left. It’s just bad.
Sorry to hear that
My brother is going threw that with ups hopefully they will get there deal sorry of what’s happening
heard the shippers cancelled when they started talking about striking. feel bad every time i see their wiggle wagons.
I too worked at 841. Been with the company for 29 years . Started out with Roadway in 1995. When Yellow bought RW things started to go down hill.
@@alexrebmann1253 Sadly, this really did not come as a total surprise. They’ve been working with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel for a long time.
Why didn't the Teamsters pay it?
Those drivers better start getting their resumes ready the company's just biding time for a couple of weeks
their experience is their resume. they're cdl drivers.
Didn't even last a week smh
This aged like milk.
I remember working for PIE when they asked workers to give back money back in the 90's I laughed at them and told them to G.F.T.S. gave up trucking ....lol give back
I’m so glad they got it all sorted out.
Aged like milk
I have a relative, retired from Yellow. This failure of the company means his pension is gone except for some unknown one lump payment he will get after 45 years if service. Now what dies he do? Promises made but never kept. To me it is nothing short if theft but it happens all the time.
No he will yet get his pension especially being he was retired from the company already, them who had whatever years in the company that didn't retire are the ones who may not get anything being they was not retired so they would have to find another union job to work to get their retirement benefits, can't imagine for them who had years in but wasn't retired yet that lost out getting their retirement especially them who may had 15 years in or more all washed down the drain to lose it all is a dirty shame that this crooked con company did what they did..
One of the best jobs I ever had in Jersey during the 90s. I worked platform
The Union blinked.....the agreement still expires at the end of the month.
Get out the popcorn simp.
Yep,they don't have the customers....they're just kicking the can down the road
@@donniefleming9914 I bet you live a miserable life, nobody's interested in your negativity go kick your can down the road!
It needs to fail. Execs making hundreds of millions needs to be addressed .
YES I CAN GO BACK TO WORK!!!
This is just the start baby. Kick the can down the road as much as you can it will break your legs. Am working on simplifying life down and trying to own as much of what i need for daily living as debt free as possible. Cant count on anything anymore is a whole diffrent world then the old days. Treating it anything differently will lead you down a bad path. Imagine if pensions get cut or lost and social security gets cut drastically and we keep debasing our currancy at this rate and more likely higher rate than now. Recipe for never retireinf and being a serf the rest of your life.
Like Biden would even know what to do.
Like Trump Did he gave away 700 million of the American people money for 30% of a failing company that’s the problem Trump put a band-aid and called it fixed and dummies like you think that was a great job waisting money while the Yellow CEO was still getting 20 million pre year in bonus payments
To bad trump is not around to hand the millionaire executives another $700 million dollars
@@misterp4353 I didn’t agree with that decision.
Trump saved not only the company but the economy with the bailout all you are crying about. Now it’s going to go bankrupt and fuel a recession. Which do you prefer?
@@johnhulm3135I don’t agree with government on a whole lot of issues, the one thing that pisses me off the most is when our government hands over millions of dollars to companies who are purposely mismanaging their company. It’s worse that a lazy person living off public assistance. It’s like if filing for bankruptcy or applying for a bailout is a normal business practice.
My poor brothers and sister got screwed in this mess . Yellow should be forced to pay all 30,000 employees a fee for filing bankruptcy. Then yellow should not be able to operate again . Sad I bet all the stock holders and execs got their fair pay !
Those ROADWAY yellows are our worst nightmare come true.
The Tax payer bailed them out the last time that the Elite Owners and Shareholders took too much money out of the company, why not try it again?
Thank god there was a deal
👏👏👏👏👏👏
YRC has poorly managed their Company but of course they will blame the Union for their failure.
All companies should be in the union..this gives the power to the people ...that are the backbone of these companies..alot of companies dont want anything to do with a union because then they would not be able to screw over their workers with low wages and poor working conditions.alot of people are against unions im against the slave owners taking all the profits and paying the workers bare minimum.
As a former union driver. When I'm looking for a job. If it says we union. I RUN the other way.
Yellow is so bad I don’t ever want to work union again. I’m looking for a new job right now
@@blackhorserodeo5857

@@Mr.Atlanta850 that weak ass shit talk comment😂😂boy you lame
YRC oregon just sent workers home after negos fell through. No pickups, just delivers. Company was better as Reddaway before YRC.
Your still 1.2b in debt that you cannot pay back😂
God bless the union!!!!!!✊
There stalling for time.😂😂😂 Wake up people.
They are broke…..won’t pay $50 million in 30 days
Especially if all they have is $100M in liquidity. No chance they can pay
Thank goodness yellow didn't go under I seen how it was for CF guys that lost their jobs yellow will be around many more years.
Yep 😊
I thought it was until Friday
You don’t need another bale out it’s called bad management no more money
Old , as of 7/26/2023 , the doors will close on Friday , yellow is finally closing the doors , they never came up with the $50 million for the union ! Their done
Wouldn’t the union pay for the employees pension? I mean what’s the whole point of paying union dues?
That’s not how it works. Company pays into the pension plan
I think part of the workers wages go to Central State..."Teamsters" who pay out retirement and Medical insurance..A lot of companies don't want to give more of the workers hourly wages to this Central State.I don't know what the reasoning is behind this, maybe they don't want their workers having a better plan than management.
Well I can tell you as a retired yellow driver. The company pays into the pension n medical so when you retire you are supposed to have something. They have only paid into 25 percent of what was agreed upon for years. Union dues are for Union to support that part. Yellow is a bunch of crooks. I worked for Holland for 32 years and except for the last 5 it was a pretty good company. Yellow won’t survive a year no matter what they do. That’s why I left at 63
@@donniefleming9914 Your Thinking is wrong.
No wages go to a Central State Teamsters. Company pays medical insurance/not the union. The pension retirement is paid by company and money goes to a 'Trust fund". Were the company and Union are on the board of directors. Worker gets paid from trust fund upon retirement.
Non union jobs are basically the same. Except for doing the same job classification. Pay and benefits are not as good.
Company pays the non union health care and usually matches a 401k retirement package.
The money union gets is "dues" . Its a free country. You can decide to work union or non union.
Hope i was able to clarify your question.
@wackedout13 No. Ill give you a sport analogy. NFL players have a pension. Would the players agent pay his players pension. If NFL ran out of money ?
Why I took a job in a warehouse. Where I had to pay union dues. Point is I received better health package and pension retirement than workers at non union warehouses.
I am now retired and receiving a pension and social security.
You asked a good question.
O'BRIAN!!!!!!!
Barking dogs is all I see. No one seems to inform us of any news here in tx
Needs to change the name from yellow to teflon
Yeah. The deal is bankruptcy
No worries. The Federal Government will step in and save them.
What about the extra $11 an hour?
Just a rumor?
Spread out over five years
They can't even afford to make the pension fund payment. So where are they going to get an extra 11 an hour from???
Truck drivers ..thank your union for ruining your job.
It’s did not avert the strike they just gave them time to pay the bill it only postponed it by 30 days
BS they made 137 bil last year and there gonna run out of money??? What toxic misinformation is that?
Y our
R etirement

Just remember them who was already retired does NOT effect their benefits, it's the ones who didn't retire yet that had whatever amount years in they won't get a penny & to think the ones who may had 20 years in or more & now nothing they get is devastating...

This is very disappointing
Leave it to youtube to avoid current news, this is months, old, nothing to do with the current New York City trucker strike.
They striking liars
It's not even close to being over. You run out of tissue and the neighbor gives you a few squares. You've made it until
your next seating. The pantry is STILL OUT OF TISSUE! There's no plan in place to restock the pantry. Another point people not speaking to is. What about the poor people whom already are retired. Their money stops too. People get ready for Aug 22 thru 24 !!!
What’s the Deal? I hope it’s a Great one!!
all that happened was that OBrien got Central States to extend the deadline 30 days to see if Yellow will pay WHAT IT OWES TO THE WORKERS (i e, health insurance and pension)
@@bobbafett1849 well that isnt all, they are also in Washington face to face trying to hash out a deal. Without anymore concessions on ibt’s end.
Yellow will be broke in a week! That’s the great deal
@@kevindrobot389 I’m sitting in parking lot right now 223 I think your right. It ain’t looking good🫤
Why is it always union companies striking and filing bankruptcy, how is it they loose their pensions. So with 30 employees and the company owes $50,000,000.00 to the union for benefits all I can say is WOW! When they close the doors don’t be surprised!
Bankruptcy by the end of the year, shut the doors at Christmas.
Where is OBRIEN at now that he knew how bad was yellow and put yellow for last and couldn't talk? You failed over 22k union members you had 1.2 million members now with yellow shutting down you teamsters got less than 1 million. I'm sure many are crying and frustrated as I receive calls from co workers at yellow. You leaders don't really know how hard we work and just be be played and ignored just like that is sad. Once the company is struggling the union won't care about you. They want the best to get best money out of you. Sad as democrats forget about the country's people. Obrein nowhere to show up nor any of the union leaders.
Good. Basically Yellow wanted to keep their employees working for peanuts while they get out of the red for the benefit of shareholders. Workers make the company money. Its the only way the company makes money. Stop acting like workers are a costly expense and start treating as true investments in your company.
YRC is dead. They just don’t know it.
Hater and jealous
@dm-ub8me what is he hating for you just don't like to hear the truth shit is over they just trying to move the freight they already have no pickups

Not really it will be yellow logistics they played chess Dawkins Obrien in cahoots to bankrupt the company to get a non-union
Trucking should be Gig based, loads are only on demand
that's called being an owner operator.
Yellow will take over the LTL Business, get out your popcorn nay sayers.
Trucking companies cannot afford to pay pension funds. Especially not 50 million dollars in 30 days. Pensions are a thing of the past. So sorry they lied to all of you
They lose a million dollar corporation that means there gonna have to sell everything to pay off debt and hopefully there co workers
Here an idea. Quit your job,go start your own business then everyones happy. Unions ruin company's. I couldnt imagine just walking off my job cause i was unhappy with something. Im a truck driver LTL and i make great money,i just dont have some union hippie telling me not to do my job
Damn yellow should go down and let them 20k teamster on unemployment line!!😂 Let union president find them a job, oh wait he be you in your own!!😂
Unions weak…..Corporate America Strong😊😊
Lol that's comedy just watch
Union is no good non union company has to pay there people employees better or they will walk if you look in to it non union company has less people quit less likely finding hard workers
For less pay less health insurance and no pension sheepal
That's not true. Some companies that are majority labor driven need union structure, so they don't take advantage of their employees.
I work for a non union company Turing 100 this year while all the union companys close we are still here making more money and better benefits unions any more are just a money grab for both EMT and the company
@@nickomoyle1492 unions are a money grab?
Non union has scab
as soon as stock pops i will sell and then buy only when they can buy time for atleast a year. the gangsters i mean teamsters destroy everything.
I’d go after them take all there money and personal assets and give to the employees let them know how it feels to be bankrupt! Especially knowing they took the money and running! I would have no sympathy for the owners!!! Prayers go out to all employees and family’s effected by this
Yellow is done. It’s just a matter of time. Can’t stay on life support forever. Thankfully I work for a non-union LTL carrier.

Why did trump give them a $700 million bail out? were they on the verge of going under? (Bad management decisions )or was this a taxpayer(?) bail out a way of getting corporate votes?
Yellow blinked. Let that be a lesson to the naysayers.
Now...the BEST THING you drivers can do is de-certify your "union" FATCAT nerfballs...wash your hands of their insidious handling of your time...effort...money...pension and stand on your own 2 feet with employer like everyone else does THAT ARE ENJOYING their full prosperous retirements and lifelong investments...in themselves!
Lmao. What? Unions are the only reason we are not enslaved. Do you think Yellow was going to help their employees out at all on their own?
