I know farmers here in Wisconsin that had beans at 9% moisture and were still fighting green tuff stalks the beans would fall out of the pods as soon as the cutting bar hit them
When pulling out a vehicle with a chain it doesn't hurt to raise the hood of the stuck vehicle in case the hitch or chain breaks. Guy got killed out in AZ or NM a little while ago. Hitch broke came through the windshield. Driver probably hammered on the gas to pull him out but still that little bit of extra safety could pay off.

We had one year in the early 90s we had green bean stalk and green leaves in the top of cotton at Christmas
