Wow! I just finished a GT VESC conversion and it would’ve been nice to know that this BMS is capable of a charge only bypass! This kit may have made the process much easier. Very exciting!
Future Motion has just made an offer to transplant its GTS engine to the GT... What happens if we combine this new Floatwheel controller with the new GTS motor offered by FM?
Swapping a GT-S motor into the GT will only help it marginally, and you probably won’t be able to tell a difference. The biggest difference between the GT and GTS is the battery, 18s2p vs 27s1p respectively. I’ll come up with a better analogy one day, but think about it like this: The controller is the brain that controls and manages everything, the battery is the actual muscles, and the motor is just the executioner. But without any extra (battery) strength, just a slightly better (motor) axe isn’t gonna do much.

Tony my GT stopped working yesterday while riding. I know big surprise. Power button makes audible beep when pressed. No lights, when put on charger shows fully charge, spinning the wheel also no lights. Any thoughts?
I wonder if bridging the xt60 like that makes it where the BMS can no longer stop charging when it detects unsafe cell values. That is the case with the XR BMS. There is probably a better way to wire up the BMS where it still retains charge only and keeps the safety features.
Hey Tony! Do you know if the PintX bms is capable of charge only? Also, a while back I got my hands on what I think was the first floatwheel kit vesc, the balance pro 6.6 with golden/brass like finish. Is this a decent vesc to convert my PintX or would you recommend picking up a more powerful vesc? Thanks Tony!

You say almost as good as a gts, but i suspect it will outperform at gts by quite a bit. Perhaps not top speed and thermals, but i care far more about surviving a tiny crack in the road.

the anodized rail helps a lot, I think putting some cooling oil in it would make it really cold.
