You know aew was formed in 2019, right? You think Kerry would still have been wrestling then? At a level where he could have been champion? Are you off your meds??
Wednesday, 5/8/1985 ( CWF) Miami Beach Florida: Miami Beach Convention Center: MainEvent: NWA World HW Title Match: Kerry Von Erich ( of WCCW) beat Ric Flair ( NWA World HW Champion- Day # 349 of 793- Reign 3 of 8) via DQ ( This is Kerry Von Erichs last time wrestling Ric Flair until WWF 10/ 4/1991, 10/5/1991, 10/7/1991, 10/8/1991, & Royal Rumble match 1/19/1992 ( Kerry Von Erich fought Ric Flair during Rumble Match) .They never wrestled each other again, Kerry Von Erich is arrested 2/8/1992 on forging drug prescription while he was kept off WWF houseshows 2/2/1992-4//6/1992 , then on 4/22/1982 is divorced by his wife Catherine M.Muuray, he committed suicide 2/18/1993
What happened at the end of the match?? Any links to the full ending?
When Flair locks you into the Figure4 you‘re basically done with walking…
#Flair #Figure4 #vanErich #goodoletimes 😆
Peak Kerry Von Erich
I miss the old trophy presentation days of the business. I felt like it added a certain prestige to the picture that it lacks today.
It appears that Kerry was actually in decent form for the match and not loaded.
Ric flair said Kerry was supposed to keep the belt longer than reason why he didn't because Kerry miss some dates
Yeah no
from what i have read/heard, Kerry was only given the title as an "offering" to Fritz and the Von Erichs after David died. David was recommended to win the NWA title and would have had a longer reign. Kerry defended the title the day after he won and at least ten more times before he lost it. I think i read he had ten wins and two draws, with three of his wins coming from DQ.
@@chrischar9428he missed his first shot.
@@justinp5661 no he didn't. JFC
It's awesome how much respect the Japanese have for the wrestling business 👍
I have always loved the Von Erichs from childhood and anytime they wrestled Ric Flair or any of the 4 horsemen it was a sellout for sure.
Von erichs never faced horsemen
KERRY VON ERICH
Total work.
Kerry was a great athlete, sad story.
It Feels So Hot !! To be humbled! When you’re looking like Ric Flair. 😂
kerry would be the perfect person to play shin in fist of the north star. his physique is awesome for his time.
Didn't realize until now that Kerry came out for this match to the same entrance music that Hulk Hogan was using at this time😂
You mean Eye of the tiger?
Hulk didn't use it long because Vince probably didn't want to pay royalties to use it....They came up that other cheesy song "I am a real American"
@@johnface3474 There is a music video of Kerry which features "Eye of the Tiger" that pre-dates Hulk Hogan using it by at least a year. Rick Steamboat also came out with this as his theme song at Starrcade 84 in his NWA TV title match against Tully Blanchard.
What happened to the pinfall? Why was it cut out? Unreal. Stinker!
Soo what happened to the finish? They were wrestling then it cut to flair getting his hand raised...????,?
Is that graphic correct? Was this actually the 66th NWA World Title change?
Yep it was the official NWA title change not sure 66th. WWE blocked the finish as the NWA showed the clip on their TV Show Crockett and now WWE owns the library.
@@CWAMemphis "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Going by the entrance music, I should be watching Harley Race vs Hulk Hogan.
Damn Kerry looked amazing with that NWA title belt on @ 3:20
What a specimen. And Flair, well he will always be #1
Flair is #1 because the fans treat him as the number 1 its just a known thing Flair was the greatest. "Learn to love it or learn to live with it because diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair"
Brilliant
Eye of the Tiger? Thought that was Hulk Hogan entrance? Kerry was my second favorite after Hulk, so I'm okay with it
All planned for Ric to get his belt back. They let the other person borrow it due to what happened. They are both professionals at what they do, but I used to guard for wrestlers and they are all in the same team. Guard them from the audience.
That was an awesome match 👍
Much better than first match lasted only 11 mins
@@diablo666541 Definitely
@@diablo666541 I think Texas Stadium on May 6th 1984 was like 16-17 minutes. It was far from their first match, and probably the poorest in the series. The Cage match at Christmas Star Wars in 82 wasn't very good either. They had a fantastic two out of three falls match earlier that year in Reunion dale Arena in Dallas. Kerry was chasing the title for over 2 years as were David and Kevin. The reason that match was so short is it was a 107 degree's, I kid you not when it took place in Fort Worth. Flair said even though they had 45,000 people there, it would have easily sold out the stadium well over 60,000 if it hadn't been at 300 O'clock in the afternoon. He said people were bring carried out of there from dehydration if not heat stroke right and left. They expected it might be too be potentially cold at night so they started it much earlier. No one expected to be the scorcher it was.
Quien ganó??
how did ric flair win the match? did he use the iron claw? why is it missing?
Kerry was beautiful
Watched the entire match but it doesn't show the 3rd pin fall which won the title!
