I grew up with the 2nd gen sienna. Probably one of the most reliable mini vans ever made. My childhood sienna was totaled at only 60k. We bought a replacement 05’, @180k on the clock. We’ve put 90k on it, and we’ve only had minor cooling system problems. The cat did go out around 250k, we still don’t know why. We just took the front cat off the totaled van, and replaced it. Unfortunately the 2nd gen siennas have 3 catalytic converters, they are not cheap. The A/C compressor did go out around 250k as well. We replaced it with a cheap rebuilt one, that’s all my parents could afford. Unfortunately that was a mistake, seeing as it went out again at 270k. We are in the process of getting that back up and functioning. Open windows it is in the California heat lol. But It hauls the rest of my family to anywhere we need to got without a fuss. I drive it to work every night, while I deal with my jeeps registration. Once again, it still runs like a clock. The low compression 3.3L is probably why it is so reliable. Not to mention the transmission. Still both original. Great hunting! God bless
I completely agree with you regarding the Sienna mini vans. I see these all over neglected with maintenance and they still keep going and going, from what I've noticed they usually get wrecked before they die on their own. Your parents Sienna will probably live a very long life since it sounds like you are looking after it. Toyota catalytic converters are not cheap in general, good thing you were able to get the cat off of the totaled van. As for the A/C compressor it's harder to get quality parts that last at a lower price and a pain as they have already spent money fixing it. I would see about possibly getting a Denso from rockauto.com. I understand about the heat, driven in California years ago in July without A/C in an RV and a black car, might as well have been an oven! Thanks for the comment and God Bless!

Thanks for the great comment. Didn't buy anything this time around. Have been trying to get other back burner car maintenance done while summer is still here so have been barely buying lately.
Really like the Accord neighbor down the street from where I live has a 1990 Accord same color automatic transmission and has either 250,000 or 260,000 miles forgot the exact mileage and it still runs good the car sounded good when I went by his house when he had the car on idling in his driveway. I think from a previous video you said you sold the 87 Accord any updates on how the 87 Accord is doing now?
That's great to hear about these old Accords that keep on living. My neighbor had one a house or 2 away before they moved, great cars! As for the 1987, my friend still owns it and he recently moved so I drove the car to its new home and I think the miles are right under 200k now
Yep, the 4Runner needs a motor. Someone will do it, those are too valuable if not rotted. The rad was low and full of water and the oil on the dipstick was already milky. With a bad motor and R title it sold for more than almost anything else you show ever does.
Its sad looking at these because they are fun project car's
Really liked the Fourunner
Love the 240D, Accord & Corolla. I've got a nearly identical Mercedes but it's a 300D automatic. They're awesome cars.
Thats great to hear!

That CB Accord EX next to the Merc looked like it was in much better nick than the red one you checked out.
It looked that way but has more problems. I'll show it if I get a chance.
Learned how to drive on that same generation corolla with 501k miles. Gets yeah around !
That's some serious mileage! Great car to learn on, gotta love a Toyota!

east coast canada these cars were rusted out long ago. great videos, love the accords and cheap prices.
I know what you mean. Cars live a long time here in these parts because the roads are not regularly treated. Thank You!

That Honda
Se fosse no Brasil pagaríamos pelo menos 3 vezes mais por estes carros!
Where is this auction
Centralia, WA
How much for Corolla 94 with USD.
The auction house bought it for just about scrap price so $400 to keep for extra inventory.
That Saturn got no love.... low on shi**y oil.... just sad. .. a Toyota truck for 2k - something must be bad for that price.
I agree on the Saturn and I believe the Toyota possilby had a leaky head gasket.
