I was pretty underwhelmed by the movies, would it be worth me trying to read the books? I mainly want to know if the main characters are tolerable, since in Harry Potter I actually had a hard time with how much less I liked the main trio compared to the movies.
Klespyrian it is worth it. Yes, the story will overwhelm you at first, but be patient, and give it another try. You'll understand more and pick up more with every time that you read it. Its an amazing series that I grew up with. And as goes without saying... books are always better than movies.
