Necrotic wake is only A tier in a "data driven tier list" because if you fuck up triple spearing surgeon stitchflesh, then you are hard stuck and can't even complete the dungeon. If you don't complete the dungeon then they don't even get any data, therefore they don't get much data on any failed necrotic wake runs.
NW right now is like either a 2-3 chest or a not-finished and thus not counted. That dungeon is easy as piss until the third boss, where you have a single shot at doing everything correctly and nuking the figt with all available dungeon resources within like a minute - if you fuck up once, you're done, if you make it, probably 2 chesting the place. That third boss is fucking obnoxious and it seriously eludes me how they didn't feel the need to rework him despite that being the exact problem with this dungeon for the entirety of Shadowlands. Although, to be fair, that only really became a problem in high keys during Shadowlands, so to Blizzard's credit, they managed to make the dungeon even wose by turning this into a problem at like +6 keys already. But hey, at least the Aboms tick for 20% less now, that just changes everything, right? The Aboms now ticking for 1.6m per second instead of 2m after 30 seconds into the fight, that's gonna change shit. Like, just kill them with their 120m HP while passively cleaving the 260m HP boss and just have your healer pull a constant 1.6m HPS throughout this supposed 5 minute fight, eeeeaaasy. Jesus fucking Christ, I just hate these gimmick dungeons with their weapons and cannons and chains and iron stars orgot knows what - every single fucking time this shit is used to invalidate half of the dungeon and if you fuck them up once, you've either lost 10 minutes on your keys or you just flat out bricked it. If only we could keep this fucking RP shit out of fucking m+.
Arakara s tier is the most ludicrous thing I've seen. Pugs get absolutely gapped by the last boss here. I can't even say how many hours have been spent just on this last boss alone trying to get pugs to do the pools correctly.
It hinders you a bit in Mists too, on the last boss. If you have tank like prot warrior that can jump away and break the mind link it's ok, but otherwise having melee means they're all around the boss. Also, avoiding stuff around boss is much harder with a group full of melee than ranged. All my melee died there in my highest mists, ranged survived.
Necrotic was put in D tier because wowhead did the list when the 3rd boss meathook was actually borked and failing a hook basically wiped your group. since the wowhead list blizz has fixed some of the meathook issues but not all of them. the entire necrotic run esp at higher key levels is almost always hinged on can you kill surgeon (the 3rd boss). If you burn all weapons and wipe the dungeon is basically bricked.
The issue I've run into in grim batol is bad design on the last boss, the "safe space" should clear all tentacles in that area but it doesn't and if you don't have classes that have immunities you have next to no room to spread.
Skarmorax also has the same problem as the NO boss where PUG dps have main character syndrome and grab all the orbs so the healer has 0 and wonder why they die to rot damage while they get trucked by a DoT and the healer is doing literally half the possible throughput.
Mists is easy but dear god its so tilting, if i see one more person stun the entire group on 2nd boss by not running away from the ad im going to jump out a window
I failed an arakara yesterday with a holy pally healer and no shaman. The healer just couldn’t keep everyone up through the poison dot, no one getting hit by waves just the dot.
holy pala can dispell it + bring more classes that can dispell it (ret that can dispell someone else and use heavy defensives on himself to survive it etc), and also dont depend on healer so much in such situations use your defensives
My M0 group just vanished after the 3rd wipe in Ara Kara ... That first boss requires DPS to do something that a tank/healer can not compensate for.... What is blizzard thinking. We had no mage, so no intelligence buff for dps :D
@havtor007 There's nothing random about Necrotic wake count, my route gets 100% every time. I think a big issue is alot of people use Quazii routes and almost all of his don't make count this season, but it was especially bad on necrotic wake. After not making count once I just made all of my own routes and haven't had any problems.

Necrotic is horrible. We easily completed a 9 Dawnbreaker, we barely completed an 8 NW this week, even after the nerd. NW is so wonky because they force you to pull a few problematic mobs, and like others have metioned: stitchflesh's design is horrible. Killing this boss feels like threading a needle.
It honestly depends on a group you play with, it is not just the dungeon itself but people too (yeah first day nw was crazy) after nerf it is very doable, i blasted through 9 (++) and 10 timed too so in the end it is just that you need people that know what they are doing.
@Tettles - What really old dungeons (Wrath and earlier) do you think / want to be made into Mythic Plus. Personally, I think Pit of Saron would make a good one without too many changes.
Last boss is bullshit as a tank if you are not a DK. You get a megahit, a knockback and have to collect the adds at the same time so that the healer doesnt get oneshot. In a pug just horrible
@@KoalaSTP as a prot paladin I don’t have this issue as much as other tanks (grabbing adds)…however those little adds and the boss on me just chunk like crazy…I find myself praying for Hpower to stay alive lol.
I don't mind the difficulty, what bothers me is other players make it more difficult that it really is. I heard earlier "but it's just a 3" ...and fails the mechanic later on. On lower keys the lack and wish to learn in the community is astonishing, on top of that if you dare talk... they expect to succeed without any communication. I'm so glad i've past that RIO range, but if you play an alt... hey they are back ! :D Edit : I do agree the tank part, i am actually retrying tanking with Monk and oh boy that tank buster... You do need coordinated group for that there's no way around or people that genuinely listen.
@@BetonBrot people do not using kicks in pugs and some of the casts in SV and specifically the duo boss can just int the key at 7+ when people are running back and getting farmed by mobs. they need to treat it more like OW where when the team wipes you all come back together. Otherwise the level 7 affix deletes the key by itself

Last boss farmed us on a +4. Lots of spread out damage
All you have to do is tell them to stun kick or cc their add. Half the game still doesn’t know you don’t have to dps yourself out of the blood

Mists is a trillion times easier than AK. Having multiple melee doesn't hinder you on any bosses in mists, AK 100% does

Get good. I have never had trouble finding a good spot without a tentacle, it's lenient if you overlap the circles without hitting the other players

if you're not bringing classes with a poison dispell, you're going to wipe to dungeons that require a poison dispell. This isn't anything new, ngl

Please, I’ve run NW 3 times this week. I can’t even find a tank that has a 100% count route, let alone time the dungeon.
Random route means getting perfect 100% route in that instance is not realistic

This season is already way too easy. SV and GB are the hard stops for most pugs but just get better
