Granny Square Pillows Tutorial - Granny Square Along!!

- This week I am showing you a few fun ways that I like to make my Granny Square Pillows and also sharing more of my Granny Square Along progress with you!
I using my 100% Cotton Chunky Thread Yarn to make granny squares for more projects and also continuing to make 6" Great Granny Square quilt blocks from my book Great Granny Squared. I'm making my crochet granny squares and my quilt blocks to match...and in my video I tell you what colors of Chunky Thread and what exactly what fabric from my collections that I have used on the new ones that I have to show you!
I also talk more about my "granny starters" and how I choose colors to make my Granny Squares.

I have been crocheting granny squares for 50 years but have never seen the pillow done on a diagonal but you can bet I’m gonna give it a whirl! You are just so creative! Love the big granny square pillows. I'm going to try and do a big square in cross stitch and do a pillow to go with the wall hanging and the cloth quilt granny when I am done with them. Thank you for the idea.

I love this! I learned to crochet in 8th grade Home Ec. I am now 62 and still crochet, sew, and quilt. Have crocheted many projects over the years but haven’t lately. This video has inspired me to get back into it. Love the little granny pillows!
Yes a print off of all the grannies would be cool. I’ve already finished the grannies from last time and I then mixed up some colors as well. Now I am waiting for more yarn to become available.

Lori, I just wanted to say how much fun I’m having with Great Granny Squares. I’m making the quilt, and I’m about half way done. I’m looking forward to the new quilt Alongs, and I love Scrapiness is Happiness. All the quilts are so nice. I have to thank you for including shades of purple in Prairie and in Bee Vintage. The shades of purple are just perfect. Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us.
I had all of my color rounds finished by June first. I have been slower doing the outline and stitching together. I would take a color and make 3 centers then do 3-row two on other random centers then 3-row 3 on random squares and so on. All of your colors make every block look fantastic! I didnt think I just grabbed and stitched!

Hello from NC Lori, thank you for sharing your talent for crochet with us. My wonderful Mother taught me to crochet when I was a little girl, and like her, I’ve always loved crochet. My Mother crocheted beautifully and taught me well. When I crochet, I can feel Momma still sitting next to me. I miss her every day. I love how beautifully your Chunky Yarn crochets. Love the pillows! And we just got a new trailer! Well not new but new to us and it needs decorated. These pillows will look great in there! Hope you post your color combinations. That sounds like fun. Just finished my first round of colors and loved the process. Now my afghan is almost half done. I’m so excited!
I love the blues/greens cushion, l am making a blanket for our beach hut in similar colours and l am now definitely going to add some cushions, great idea on the diagonal, l actually prefer the joining side showing, so may mix and match, thanks for the inspiration, look forward to next time ♥️🧶

I just started watching all your granny square videos and I love them! The colors you have come up with are beautiful and so bright I love it! I know if one of your granny square videos you asked if we’d like a dishcloth or facial cloth tutorial and I would love to see how you make them as well! Do you know when your chunky yarn will be back in stock? Either in your Etsy shop or at Fat Quarter Shop? I want to use all the colors but I am missing a few so want to wait until I have all the colors before I make the rest of my granny squares. Also need to get lots of the color I use for the 5th round.
