I love this! I was searching for a video that would show me how to do the back of the cushion in crochet. I was doing just a square granny but I think I will use your method so that I can open it up and wash it as needed and I love the pom-poms also. Definitely going to follow you!

My back panel turned out way bigger than the front, even though I used the same amount of stitches:(

Unfortunately that can happen sometimes if the yarns are of different thickness, it can happen even when they're the same brand. I'd say if it's not too big just go with it, or you might have to reduce and few stitches
