@@thefoosterchannel The details do not matter when it comes to flashlights in games, as long _as the damn thing will stay on for more than 10 seconds._ Seriously, I hate it when games do that, even more so since it doesn't make sense.The tiny flashlight I have on my keychain is astoundingly bright and it stays on for hours after maybe two hours of charging, but a couple of hundrets of years in the future, you are some space marine with tons of future guns and equipment, but... they can't equip you with a flashlight that is brighter than a candle and stays on for longer than a minute, suuure. So, 'is actually useful' is fine by me and screw the details. :D
Still waiting on the game that gives you an absolute Chad mega spotlight. See/blind everything, but also lose any semblance of night vision.

They specifically established that this organism hates light, it's only active in the dark.

Its one of my greatest pet peeves in horror is when anytime in horror they establish rules for the monster,,entity,etc and just to add more gore they break the rule for said entity/monster rather than actually make it terrifying through setting up the scene etc they just ad more gore to make it scary or break the rules of said monster or creature. Like you just established this thing has rules and now it can break them just because y ou wanted to add to the body count or gore? Like have the reason certain horror works is because the original set up its why the new Alien movies have been so terrible they just become action horro.

I’ve been in the arctic when a massive storm rolls in (Alaska, not Antarctica). Many times. The first thing we all think of is “The Thing”. It makes an isolated place feel even more isolated.

The funny thing is that in the arctic it does not snow most of the time because the Arctic is a desert all the snow you see is just snow that’s getting pushed around by wind

@@thefoosterchannel You're right. Some of it is a desert, but some isn't. Coastal regions tend to get more precipitation, but inland regions do get snow. The amount of precipitation also varies by season.

The stupid part was the alien was meant to be scared of the light but Tomas gave the dogs a lamp, they should have been safe. You messed up there.

It grew rapidly in the dark. It wasn't scared of the light. Maya mentioned how having the lights dimmed was enough to be able to see it multiply. If anything, the light helped the dogs last longer, but it wouldn't have been enough to stop the growth completely.
Did NO ONE think to bring PPE or take any precautions for the unknown bacteria or just for the standard requirements of being scientists handling potential hazards?

I couldn't wait for you to find the dogs to see how you would act. You trying to throw coffee at the guy had me laughing. When you called out to the two characters I could picture you calling for Taco and Fisk and them snickering in the corner hiding from you lol.
I think the orginisam made you hulicnate. Maya saw "zombie victor". Victor saw "biting maya". Maya saw you die. I think those were part hulcinations.
Or when things started happening, they both tried to backstab the other for their own self-preservation( which included backstabbing the main character as well by leaving him there). Then they both lie to get the MC's help. Along with lying to the people at the other station.

I've been following this guy who works on the remote Antarctica research centre mcmurrdo...and actually it's very well maintained and clean..with a lot of crew, as well as the research labs they've got a cinema, gym, large shop, a large food hall... nothing like this at all... thankfully 😂
Yea, based on some remote and/or underground bunkers and labs I've seen in videos and documentaries, this one was a real shit hole and barely habitable.
They have to keep them mentally and physically fit otherwise you get crazy and or depressed scientists 😅

This is where you have to figure out if your going to make it out and if yoru option is you not making it out but making sure whatever the hell is in there also can't make it out then yes I am turning the entire bunker into an oven

The VA for the guy at the other station was in a Twitch chat once when I saw this game played. He mentioned that he specifically was doing his impression of Hank Hill's voice, and the game dev had no idea who Hank Hill was and loved it.

Its a great setting! Often cluastrofobic dark and minimal lightning. The basis of having a fully controlled place instead of having forces of nature and such (wind daylight fog etc etc) will give you much more controll over the jumpscares. Thats why the biggest AAA horror games are in mansions or villages that can be fully designed.
@@maxnum1sgameclub263 Its also the fact that it is isolated most horror only works if there some element of isolation you take the element of isolation out most horror does not work unless you count zombies but again zombies create a form of isolation so it still tracks.

At 14 minutes in I already know that this game is based off of John Carpenter's 1982 horror/sci-fi film "The Thing" featuring Kurt Russell. I'm really excited about seeing how this game unfolds, especially since The Thing is one of my favorite sci-fi films.
Every game Fooster plays, "I want all the Lumens" when he gets all the lumens he says its too much lumens lol.
Also, I think that I have completed the message that had interference in the game Fooster. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to say this: "Zarya, I repeat. The stone that we found is (unknown). This is possibly the remains of an ancient asteroid. It is more than (unknown) thousands of years old!"

Thats what I tought of as well becuse thats what Maya said in the beggining and you can cleary see they tried to use flares to scare it off but afterwards it wasn't scared of light anymore as it was in fact going to the closest source of lights after it was chaising mr MacReady around and didn't bother about the light , my tought is it ate the original staff (Maya) and has made copies of her getting natural human resistance to light as it said it will multiply and eat the weaker versions of itself becuse it didn't eat Victor it just murdered him and shred him to nothing as he managed to escape(definitely being infected with another parasite) and "Maya" was just a clone and puppet for that thing, thats why she got assimilated instead of just being killed
Plus that is why it tried to kill us as we had smaller and weaker parasite in us and it was after devouring it rather then our character as we can clearly see in the video that the one in our protagonist was way much weaker than the one who already developed from eating Maya
Like some kind of funked up Battle Royal for these species or for Star Craft II fans

That game was amazing from the story, monster design and one of the best interactions between characters I have ever seen in a game. They felt like real people instead of just characters with great voice acting.

That's complimentary horror game flashlights for ya. Either they're barely useful up to about 3-4 meters and useless beyond that, or it's like you're wielding *THE UNLIMITED, CONCENTRATED, AND DIRECTED POWER OF THE SUN ITSELF* in your hand. Very rarely will a horror game give you a decent flashlight that shines in a wide enough area to illuminate more than a playing card, is bright enough to see at least 20 meters out, yet is not so powerful that pointing it at something makes it seem like you're staring directly into a floodlight while pressing your face directly against the glass.
Also, NO! Not the dogs! Those (literal) monsters! Hopefully there's a sequel where the main character wields a f✓©king flamethrower (I can think of very few circumstances where the word "flamethrower" should not be preceded by the word "f✓©king"). We must avenge the good bois and girls!
