I’m with you on the inconsistency with the D Pad activations ….the number of times I’ve hit a damage con or fast reload in error…jeez. I like the Italian BB’s . Giulio Cesare is by far the best imho.
I just got the Veneto earlier this week and with only 2 upgrades I've been having good games. Did that same thing today with the D-Pad lol, why do they do that? My game was similar to yours. But as far as how some ships work for 1 person and not another, my conspiracy is that I bought it on a Monday or Friday; I just find it odd how some people have great luck on some and not another, while others are vice versa. And another thing some of the better ships will have the worst win rates. I can't figure this game out it makes me nuts lol pun intended.

Ok, this collab idea has been living rent free in my head for a while and I need to share it somewhere: Imagine a Space Battleship Yamato collab with a ship skin for the Yamato transforming it into the space ship with the SFX and music from the anime… bonus point if it happens in February in homage to the author who passed away in early February last year 🫡
It never sucked. People didn't know how to play Italian BBs and tried to play them like Germans with their style of secondaries. Or they tried to build for accuracy which is pointless. I've gotten most of my krakens in them, you just have to be smart, know the map, your role in the team, and know your abilities. Yes, I have 1 out of every 3 games or so suck, but usually the other 2 of those i have a ton of fun, and F the enemy up good.
My problem is for some reason I can’t get a win in this ship. I do great damage. I get kills I cap flags. I have a win rate of 20%. I got the Kansas at the same time. I do ok with it. Damage avg is about the same. 60% win rate. Can’t figure it out
My opinion obviously but the stats show for itself it’s highly inaccurate even with a dispersion build the Italian pen is amazing same with arching armour is ok speed is a little slow but it’s ok same as Bismarck
Vinetto is alright but not I'd go for a lot of other BBs before this one but the ships before this aren't great. I'm only grinding this line for Colombo and if Colombo wasn't a thing I probably wouldn't bother.
Is it me or are the venetto turrets super fragile? I realize you engage closer than other bbs but even at range i feel like the turrets are constantly temporarily breaking and perma breaking
I love my veneto. It treats me well, yeah, troll salvo here and there, but its consistent enough to get the job done for me. Plus, those 5 heals and rolling smoke
I do like this series Spartan. A quick thought about if some of these ships are good or not. It isn't as much as a ship is bad overall but is it bad for your play style. I mean if u like to be aggressive and push a lightly armored battleship will most likely be a bad fit especially if you don't know how to angle. Most of the time it's not the ship it's the player at the helm. If you happen to be one of the potatoes that can't play unless your are at the limit of your range in your battleship cruising the edge of the map just FYI you are not helping your team same if you go across the map to cluster with all the other potatoes your gonna end up potato salad and EZ win for the opposing team if they have any tactics or knowledge of the game.
The Littorio class also had the longest ranged guns, more range than the Iowa but it isnt here either. You can see the specs of the guns in Ansaldos historical files
Spartan's right, if ya go broad side in the Veneto you'll get destroyed like the planet Alderaan in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope". But here's the thing....that's the case for just about every single Soviet battleship, most Japanese BB's, a fistful of British BB's, and the Iowa, Maine, and perhaps the Montana....the idea is to not show your broadside in any ship, it's amazing how many people still do. Speaking of broadsides I had a game in the Gneisenau yesterday in which I was getting focused by a Soviet CV....I was on the far left flank and had 33,000 HP removed.... So I pressed forward because I had zero to lose...I was resigned to the idea that my minutes were very numbered, so I somehow catch an enemy Zara behind a rock and finished her off and then at about 11 km's, out pops the Soviet CV that was trying to ruin me from behind an island...it stuck its entire bow section out for me to shoot my front guns, and I got a death strike, and with it, the game changed...next salvo was all six guns on a full health Pensacola that was located near the fallen Soviet CV, THAT was almost another death strike, so in true Spartan fashion I left it with just enough to get killed by a teammate, and just like that my team took over and won the game after a rough start.
I’ve never liked Italian BBS apart from the tier III Aghleigery or something. Cause they have poor accuracy and when they finally hit something, it’s like a slap to the wrist
Spartan, can you do another sumner video? Maybe what configuration you still run now? I don't have many captains and I can't seem to get this ship tuned right for Max performance...all the love thanks.

I've always selected an accuarcy build for my Veneto cus the secondaires have a default and its the fact that thoses little 12x1 guns gets yeeted by HE SPAM and then you are losing efficacity of the secondaries . But accuarcy build is almost perfect , using a fighter plane to spot on a smoke screen if no allies can spot , get them broadside and yonk them...
Most of the ships I've developed an animus for are at the lower tiers. The T7 stuff is generally pretty decent. It's the gameplay at the upper tiers that gets on that last nerve with a quickness. The T7 BBs are all pretty solid. I have my favorites, but I can play them all reasonably effectively. We used to make fun of Iowas (team with the most Iowas loses...) because of the amount of duffers attracted to that ship with the inevitable piss-poor gameplay, but it's nothing intrinsic to the ship itself.

Because of the office project, I'm currently playing through the Italian battleship tree. I'm currently on the Veneto. I have to say it's pissing me off. It's pure agony. In several battles I was offered safe broadside targets and you just can't get a citadel. It feels like the ship is made of paper. In addition, the exhaust fog is pointless, because as soon as you stand in the fog and shoot, you are visible. Once I've made it to the Tier VIII ship, I never touch these ships again.
I wish the dispersion was tighter but it is my most played ship. It's so fun and frustrating. Fun when I get to smoke up and let loose the secondaries. Frustrating when I smoke up and lose spotting or have broadside on a ship and the dispersion at 4 km -8 km is like birdshot out of 12g
