As I'm learning the game, I'm finally getting what items to fuse in order to try and get better higher tier items, and CoC is definitely one of them ;D.
Legend not sure if you're going to see this but they've "standardized" dwellers below now where it's just basically another pit of shade by moving all the damage to the vortex itself with the projectile explosion and contact damage now doing 0 damage. They went through several iterations in rapid succession in a few patches so I can see how that is missed
Yeah was just playing a Gelt campaign and I noticed that Dwellers Below was definitely not doing as much damage as it should. WH3 is full of these weird decisions to just make something a copy of another thing with different colors.

I was going to give you the command to fix it, but youtube filtering removed my comments. lua cm:remove_event_restricted_building_record("wh_dlc05_wef_oak_of_ages_5") In the console commands mod should fix the oak of ages.
I sent in the save file, all the special building informations got lost during that patch, and all the rituals I finished on that patch gave me nothing (no amber, no buildings). I updated to the latest beta, it seems to work again, but not for the rituals I already finished.
You can sell Oak of Ages, but it doesn't actually border Kings Glade do to the forest placement. From Kings Glade you must walk into Vaul's Anvil or Crag Hall in order to access OOA.
Are you sure the Ritual of Rebirth has been completed? (EDIT: player has confirmed they have waited out the timer with no success so I guess this post is redundant - leaving it here fior posterity) {Old} When you trigger the ritual you get 8 turns to beat the advancing armies but even if you destroy the armies you have to wait those 8 turns for the ritual to be completed. AFAIK the tooltip says Ritual completed throughout those 8 turns. I am guessing the player beat the enemies but the timer hasn't yet run out.
I find bone giants work pretty well in Glade Guard/Way Stalker stacks. It gives you a unit to counter snipe artillery and infantry lords which ranged infantry isn't very good at. Can also crack open walls in sieges if needed
Arachnarok's still have a hurtbox issue - ranged units target it higher up than its hurtbox actually reaches. This is especially bad with magic missiles or SEM ranged units.
He sometimes mentions ones where he has tried them more than once. Very rarely he loses one on his streams like he had loremaster of hoeth stack which wasn't quite levelled up yet going up against loads of wood elves, so you might like to try looking for ones like that.
There is one. WW2? May be. WW1? Dwarves, defending city. Used catapults needing to get 400 kills. Did not quite make it and got overrun. Anyone know of others?

Found that out yesterday when I wanted to save my useless ally by granting them a settlement that was on the other side of my empire, but wasn't allowed.
You can ask for settlements that aren't bordering each other if they're in the same province to a settlement you own, or at least you can sometimes. For example you can ask for Grung Zint while only holding Blackstone Post. The Oak of Ages is contained in its own province, so not applicable in this situation.

I got the 'Chorf' expansion DLC recently since it was on steam half price. Only playing at VH/H (legendary/VH too extreme for me), but first astragoth attempt failed, secured first province, but as soon as I sent army west to expand, ogres roled in from east and wiped out my minor settlements 😂
i don't know if you guys noticed it or not but THE DWARF settlements were both colored green like ally AND red like enemies and they were enemies but look at 30:25 and Barak varr is highlighted RED and Akendorf is highlighted GREEN am i missing something or is it a bug??
it's probably due some wood elf mechanic, green ones seem to be settlements under influence of a local forest or something. The dwarf banner still had crossed swords under it.
I was just playing Orion yesterday and I noticed some weird coloration issues. I verified my game files as I assumed there was some bug. I don't know if that changed anything, but I'm guessing it's just some fucked up code with the Wood elves.
Other issue I found yesterday, playing skaven cant recruit chieftains heroes, option doesnt exist only Plague Priest, Asassin, Warlock Engineer and Packmaster. Anyone has same issue?
If you really want to fix it without it being a real pain and not worth it is just abandon it and use a trainer or something to do one turn construction and do it, there's fling trainer, that should work without using mods
There is no challenge of any kind in WH3 so he gets bored within 20 turns. He's also a father now and I suspect that's much more fun than trying to find challenge in a game where they've made the AI so passively bland that every campaign feels identical to the last.
He is burnt out on streaming and the streams weren't performing well enough for him to justify continuing despite that. So now he's just posting videos and prioritizing time with his friends and family.
I think that's because technically it doesn't share a border with any other territory. You can only sell territories if the buyer owns an adjacent territory to it. Sartosa being an island means there's no one that can be a buyer.
Why let the Bone Giant die for nothing, if army losses/balance of power is so important? Seems like a waste, even if he doesn't do anything in the blob.
save it how? 1. sacrifice most of the glade guards ammo to save 1 unit + lose balance of power? 2. make it run around the whole battlefield while theres faster units chasing it = it dying anyways? 3. put it inside the blob where it cant shoot properly, it being large loses its melee capabilities (and it's a bone giant with no tech + siill tree upgrades) so what will it do there?

Console commands to upgrade it to 5. If you're feeling bad about it remove the money, wait 20 turns, then upgrade it. Might work, might not.

Maybe there's a quest battle in the special menu? I'm sure you need to defeat beastmen in quest battle to be able to construct tier 5 Oak of Ages.
My favorite mod is one that makes wood elf arrows not hit trees.

That's why he traded kings glade to give elspeth an adjacent province to oak of ages. Oak cannot be sold or traded.

I believe that's why he sold them Kings Glade first, so they could be bordering the Oak.
I swear I remember patch notes that said that under certain conditions arrows could phase through trees. Can someone help me out?
I think they phase a short range, so units can fire out of forest relatively effective, but in forest fights most of the arrows still hit trees.

I have abandoned 3 Wood elf campaigns because game bugs out and i cant complete Rituals, or my tree counters stop working.

You cannot hide it, it would be useless in forest. It cannot run away from greenskins. Thats was probably the best it could do.
Drawing away enemy forces to improve local force superiority, and this way it still did do some damage rather than die for nothing.
