So much great advice! The opera is always a moving night out, and taking the time beforehand to research the history and themes allows you to enjoy even more. Art galleries too are more than just pictures, curators have painstakingly arranged exhibition spaces to take you on a cultural journey and it’s impossible to replicate digitally. Galleries are also either free or donation based making it a easy and spontaneous day out... also love the Bridgerton ref at the end ❤️❤️

I have found that I met interesting and classy people at Garden parties. If there is a botanical garden close to you, Get on
their mailer, When they have extravaganzas, Join one. Mind you, Occasionally the ticket price can be higher, But I have met with the state Governor, Several sports and TV personalities, along with Business people from a wide variety of backgrounds.. WELL worth the cost of entry. The last one I attended before lockdown, Was a Wine pairing garden party. The food was great, the garden was beautiful, and the people were fantastic.

I went to the Chelsea flower show in 2019. The flowers were so amazing however what marred the occasion was the hostility I experienced from a lot of the white women. I have not experienced this level of prejudice before. The hostile stares. I had one older upper class woman approach me whilst I was having some lunch and ask me in a patronising manner what was I doing here?
I informed her that I enjoy flowers. I could count the amount of black spectators on two hands and the event was well attended.l just want women who are not Caucasian to be aware of the snobbery. I did not let there unpleasant attitude spoil my day. I would attend every year if I could afford it as it was expensive. I would encourage you all to go as the creativity on display will give you a warm feeling in your soul.

I would suggest a bit more research into what you call 'evening balls'. I'm not sure if you mean charity balls? Charity balls are open to pretty much anyone who can afford a ticket..these will easily run into several hundreds of pounds & more for the more upmarket ones. Debutante balls, on the other hand are very much invite only. Debutantes are between 18-22, & there are less than 30 chosen every year...and invites are very much a closed shop. Operas & ballets are lovely events to go, but I dont think auctions would really be considered a place to meet particularly 'classy ' people. They are great fun...but at high end ones, for fine art for example..they are predominantly made up of gallery owners , and agents of the very wealthy, rather than the people who will end up actually hanging the art on their walls. also, plenty of debates are open to ticket buying public, many are free...however the Oxford Union, is only open to members of the Oxford Union..as well as a strictly regulated number of Oxford residents..which requires members to be or have been at Oxford University.
No sister, you forgot to mention ...helping out at the food pantry, volunteering at events and church. You can't go somewhere simply because the people who go there are of high caliber especially when your definition of high caliber is high society.

It's a great place to give back to the community but most people who go there are recognized for their selflessness not for their elegance. U might need to do a video to show us how food pantry and elegance are related. I don't think Vivian or the rest of us have any clue.

Many of these tips I really don’t have access to except a few because I live in California, and California is so expensive but I do love art and have been to one wine tasting event that I found to be very exhilarating and refreshing, I will attend again. I have to place myself on a financial budget. Very informative points.

In the UK, the British Humanist Society, now Humanists UK, has several low-cost yearly lectures & activities in historic venues. Come & meet intelligent, thoughtful people who are honestly seeking answers in a challenging world. Actually, atheism & agnosticism are more upper-class these days. But all are welcome at the meetings, of course.
I think you are doing it wrong, if you are going to the club thinking classy will be appreciated there.

No. Many of these places such as auctions, classical music concerts, art galleries, charity events are free or very inexpensive to get into. However, these places are where elegant people frequent. There is a saying 'show me your friends and ill show you who you are'. If you associate with elegant people you will become elegant.
I think it depends which country you're living. I no for sure those places in other countries won't be free or inexpensive. I guess some of us will forever be villagers.. hmmmm
It’s not about how much money you have it’s about how you spend the money that you do have, I’m from Slovenia and a student, my peers spend money on rap concerts meanwhile i spend the same amount of money that they paid for Asap rocky for a gallery fee, it’s about prioritising

Hey Vivienne, I enjoy your videos and sound advice. I do however find that the places you've mentioned in this video are mainly for meeting wealthy rich caucasian people, and people who want to be like them. Personally I don't feel it is authentic and honest to visit a place, to do something that is not of interest, so as to meet people who we might not have anything in common. It would just be keeping up appearances. I do agree with you that it is good to try something new, one never knows, it might become a new passion. I suggest you do another video for meeting elegant people in places that are more accessible and realistic to most.
