Very very tough, technically impressive and all. However, what I don't like about these full-contact karate styles is the emphasis on destroying each other in competitions where my guess is competitors are not getting paid for fighting... on the contrary, perhaps many competitions charge you a fee for competing. Just look at those knockouts, they can be life-crippling... bad, bad, bad

My complain is that they're not getting paid like professional fighters, but the consequences of such way of competing can be very risky, and expensive, and they do it for free basically--I guess they even have to pay to enter the tournaments.

Also, Olympic style rules seek to minimize the risk of injuries, but the risk is still there, whereas in Kyokushin the opposite is true: they seek to maximize damage. IMHO, it's unnecessary to have such gruesome tournaments. These guys CAN fight for sure. I don't think it's necessary to destroy each other in an unpaid sport to show it. To me, it kind of defeats the purpose and ethics of karate, but this is just my opinion. My deep respect to Kyokushin practitioners. I hope this bad tradition of paying for joining tournaments ends and the players get paid as they deserve for their professional skills and exposing themselves to such a risky activity one day. Ossu!
I think that is not for every one like the video says. For several reasons. One, is the flexibility and the other is be big like most in those videos. If you are big tall giant and with flex no matter what style you would do.

Sensei Ohtzuka developed his Wado ryu from Shotokan by adding, among other things, tai sabaki movements. Ashihara Sensei did the same, roughly speaking, starting from Kyokushin. So the difference is also in the application of techniques to combat.
Enshin have a bit different katas than Ashihara and grabbing and throwing is allowed in full contact kumite of Enshin where as Ashihara Karate has Full contact kumite but not throws or grabs..osu!!

@@lionsden4563 that doesn't mean nothing, the original kyokushin already had half of these mixtures you say, the only kudo added was the all out sparring with head gear that in my opnion the original Kyokushin should already have, actually even the Traditional Karate styles did these kudo like sparring back in the days with their own gear. The way kudo sparr is great for pressure testing but much more sport oriented than self defense oriented, kudo is actually a sport than a martial art. It is below Ashihara Karate in terms of practical self defense.

Kudo derived from Kyokushin as well but an upgraded version. Are you a Karateka yourself? Any videos of you doing some sorts of training?
@@lionsden4563 kudo does have all the benefits of being derived from Kyokushin karate and such, but what im saying is that kudo is almost nothing but a sport and a type of sparring you don't need to practice kudo to do what they do, If you practice Kyokushin and try to do this type of sparring its the same, Ashihara could do the same definetly, you are basically comparing a type of sparring with a entire style.
