Great video and commentary! The Bruce Willis movie, very true! I got Tisas 1911’s and they are great. Have one in 10mm and one in 45acp. So good. These are REAL guns, not a fan of the Tupperware guns! Thanks for the video!
Do you want the proper grips? I put actual GI surplus grips on my Tisas. They’re the same grips that the CMP 1911s come with. I have 4,000 rounds through mine. The finish and the battle rattle is making it look even more like a real Remington Rand. I actually carry mine everywhere everyday as a defensive pistol. It gets banged around in the garage and dusty fields. Great reliable pistol.
I’m looking on MidwayUSA right not at one. I’ve held off in the past insomuch as supporting the ottoman empire lol. Erduwan is a sack of suet. Nonetheless, looking at your video has changed my tune, zomewhat. I can tell you one thing, I was never issued a 1911 that had that kind of finish remaining. Ours were so old to begin with. In fact, I was PMing a Jeep in the Motorool once that had the Ford logo on it. lol. Anyway, I’m going to consider this weapon. One thing you didn’t discuss is sights - are you consider getting some similar to your Springfield Amory RO?
Hi Mark! Congrats on the upcoming reloader! My NEW G.I. 1911! MAN OH MAN, it is so nice. Basic, simple, and really needs nothing. The sights? I was very aware of what I was getting on them. I'm just painting the front one GOLD METALLIC using some Testers modeling paint. For the most part, the G.I. was used for combat point shooting, and the old Army training videos show that!!! Point and shoot! Even though the sights are small, I'm going to just aim small, miss small. I'm building 1911 collection and warned my wife!! I'm going to be like a "GOLFER" with a bag full! 3 wood, 9 iron, putters, etc. The G.I. will not be my "TARGET" gun since the R.O. TARGET has that duty. The new RONIN on layaway will be my E.D.C. It's an aluminum frame commander @ 4.25" and 29 oz. I will be glad to share lots of reloading info when you're ready. I can do a STARTER reloading video.
@@SHOOTFIRE777 I enjoy reloading, to be truthful, it’s perhaps the most relaxing thing I do - perhaps even more so than bushhogging lol. I know the Ronin you’re talking about and have thought along the same lines you are. One other thing I’m considering are holsters. I’m limited on what I can use by the fact that I wear overalls most of the year. So I got a gunfighter chest rig. I don’t particularly care for it as the plastic isn’t blue friendly. I gave my son my nylon one to use for when he deer hunts. Anyway, have a good day my Navy friend.
@Mark-Marine you to Mark. 1791 hired me as an affiliate for the FINE LEATHER and sent my a FREE HOLSTER. TOP NOTCH holsters at great prices. Hand made American gear!
