Jain Diksha or saiyam is the process of renunciation in Jainism. It is a journey of self discovery, a pursuit of truth.

Jain monks or ascetics adopt the Panch Mahavrats or the five great vows when they take Diksha or saiyam - Ahimsa (nonviolence), Satya (truth), Achaurya (Non-stealing), Brahmacharya (Celibacy) and Aparigraha (Non-possessiveness).

individuals who have no enemy, because they
