I am not a Swiftie, however I like her songs quite a bit. She is one of the artists I am really happy for. She is unproblematic, was famous since she was a teen, yet she did not go into a downward spiral like an alcohol or drug problems like so many young famous people do, but the media, tabloids tried so hard to shame her, badmouth her, called her a serial dater and what not(as if other people are not dating, like at least she dates and breaks up, she is not cheating or having babies with random people and dumping them), put her down at every opportunity, but she persevered through it all. Young men are not being taught how to be positive and masculine at the same time, and many are being shamed for simply their sex. Having been a Swiftie since 2008, this is so incredible to see. Getting to take my sister to the Eras Tour in Kansas City for her birthday and see her completely fall apart from hearing Last Kiss as a surprise song (The song mentions her birthday, July 9th), is one of the most unforgettable moments of the summer for me. Also the picture she had someone behind us take of the two of us doing heart hands during the show perfectly captured the essence of that entire night. A night that I will never fully recover from.
I never disliked her, but I never looked to search for her music or go deeper. Until this past summer! Now, I hate that I didn’t appreciate her sooner!

I think her current critics still believes her fandom spontaneously increased and got diverse this year, when the truth is, it’s always been this diverse and steadily increasing for almost 20 years, but it’s not until now that they are forced to acknowledge everything she’s been building during that time, and how those original “teenage” fans have grown with her, and are now part of a multigenerational fan base as diverse as the general public, and that’s something that’s no longer possible to ignore.

The Eras tour film was my first experience being surrounded by other Swifties and it was absolutely incredible!!!! It was more then dancing and singing. Everyone was trading bracelets and making sure those without them got some. I had a couple of girls that saw me sitting dancing in my seat alone pull me up into their group to join in. There was a young girl in a wheelchair sitting in the front and everyone took turns including her in their dancing and singing groups as well. I have never been in a room full of strangers and felt so at home. That was Taylor does for us. She reminds us through her songs and through fellow fans that we are not alone. I’m a conservative Republican and I had a preconceived notion about her because my party does not like her at all and I always heard bad things. But I started researching her and found out she gave out $55 million in bonuses to all the truck drivers on her tour. I had never heard of any singer doing that before. That impressed me right away. The Eras tour film was my first experience being surrounded by other Swifties and it was absolutely incredible!!!! It was more then dancing and singing. Everyone was trading bracelets and making sure those without them got some. I had a couple of girls that saw me sitting dancing in my seat alone pull me up into their group to join in. There was a young girl in a wheelchair sitting in the front and everyone took turns including her in their dancing and singing groups as well. I have never been in a room full of strangers and felt so at home. That was Taylor does for us. She reminds us through her songs and through fellow fans that we are not alone. I'm proud to call myself a Swiftie and can't wait to see what Taylor gives us next! (REP TV Whenever your ready Blondie 😉)
I hope you get to go to one of the concerts. It's everything you described times 100! Even if you have to spend $1000, do it. You won't regret it.

I live in Missouri and I am a huge Chiefs and Travis Kelce fan. I never listened to Taylor Swift but I am now a big fan. I’m a conservative Republican and I had a preconceived notion about her because my party does not like her at all and I always heard bad things. But I started researching her and found out she gave out $55 million in bonuses to all the truck drivers on her tour. I had never heard of any singer doing that before. That impressed me right away. She has a beautiful sole and is such a kind person. Moral of the story. Don’t always believe what you hear. I’m so glad I found her. She truly deserves this honor. ❤

I’m a 53 year old, Hispanic truck driver, living in Minnesota. I was blessed to get tickets for her Night 2 Minneapolis show. It was incredible. It made me happy to see her fans dress up and get so excited when she appeared on stage. It was an amazing, once in a lifetime event, and I’m so happy I was able to go. I hope I get to see her again the next time she come up here ❤

Truthfully, at first I thought it was too much, like she wasn’t that big but the more I thought about it, I see how Taylor can be and should be Person of the Year! With our children being the most important for our future, Taylor Swift is a true mentor/role model/a child’s ambassador/any age woman’s gurl.
