Hi, I haven't tried that, but you should be able to put pins through the fabric.
can u measure the thickness of the strap please 💗💗
Hello, I've misplaced my tape measurer, but I'd estimate it at approximately 1.2cm at the thickest portion of the strap.

The straps are good but not great, it really depends on how much stuff you have in the bag. If packed light I could wear it all day with no issues. If packed full and its heavy not very comfortable for long wear my shoulders would hurt after 30 mins or so.
