The issue is that these days, more often than not, the projects are flat, bland and devoid of any type of evolution or fresh energy. Hollywood is not what it used to be. Chaka Khan is a spitfire - you are right; he caught her on an off night but also he’s a bully surrounded by his security team. How much courage does it take to step to Chaka under those circumstances?

I have been to plenty of concerts. Concerts before cellphones was the best time. Now concerts with cellphones. I have seen phones on stages landing near backup singers, DJ’s and yes the artists performing. Yes these people get excited and those phones get dropped, thrown and left. I seen a lady in her sixties get excited at The Isley Brothers concert and her phone ended up by the background singers.
I think Hollywood is trying to recapture the revenue from those older movies that where made in older times, in today's time social media has more power, Hollywood shld seek out some of these social media stars & work together💁🏾♀️, ask these social media stars to write and produce, Hollywood got the💰 social media has the creativity!
The USA is moving towards a culture of not holding people accountable, but that's what happens when you have a past President that's broken many laws and is not being held accountable.
Patty, that is my view on Hollywood too. They have no original ideas anymore. I haven’t been to the movies in such a long time. There are just no movies that are appealing to me. I’ll wait for them to come on cable and I can turn it off if it doesn’t hold my interest. They keep drawing out movies like Fast & Furious. How much more of that movie do people want to see? The same goes for television. I find myself more often than not watching old tv shows. Television was really good then. even though when I was growing up there was only one black show (Julia), which I loved. The newer shows with black actors just seem so stupid to me. I love a lot of the actors but don’t like the shows they play in. The last good television show with great black actors that I loved was Empire. When they cancelled that show it was over for me. I watch streaming channels and sometimes that gets old. I do have some good channels on UA-cam that I watch. With television, I know they’re not trying to appeal to MY demographic, they’re targeting younger people but they are doing a sad job either way.
