My beloved Grandmother used to say “pretty is as pretty does, ugly to the bone, pretty loses it beauty, but damn sure if ugly doesn’t hold its own.” Loving your hair, you doing it auntie!
I was a caretaker for my Grandfather for 3 years cooking, cleaning, bathing, having our 1 on 1 time while working 2 jobs was no doubt a challenging title to take on, but at the same time was the most rewarding experience for us to strengthen our relationship. It's not for the weak for sure, don't forget to take care of yourself in the process.

I lost my mom at the end of December. I don't like this new normal. There's something about losing someone who loved you unconditionally, no matter what. You are no lying about being a caretaker, and I'm having trouble with my anger towards my family who never stepped up or had the nerve to criticize me. No one tells you about the trauma of watching your parent decline and die. This is and was the hardest thing I have ever been through, and I can only be relieved that she is no longer in pain or suffering.

Mommie has 4 sisters and 3 brothers left out of 14 and NO ONE helps me, not even my oldest brother. And I promise you if it wasn't for CeCe Winans and your videos I would be curled up in a corner somewhere. Staying in my Bible and praying to the Lord to help me on my journey is how I make it through the day, everyday. I am Thankful for the network I had from my Moms friend's who would watch her when I needed a break. God is Good all the time. She has passed but I would do it all again. It is not easy. You have ur good days & bad Days. I want everyone who is a Caregiver to know that u will receive Blessings after ur job is done. Yes, when they pass u will misss them. Im a 64 y/o caregiver for my totally bedridden daddy for last 5 yrs M-F. He has Parkinson's and this has been the hardest yet most regarding thing Ive ever done. People ask how do I do it and the answer is always LOVE. I live through other people post with the hope i will get a chance to gp on vacatiom out the country or a cruise one day. I did enjoy my bday 3/17th by treating myself. I knew i couldnt afford it but i just had to do something for myself. Thanks for giving us a shoutout because we are often forgotten😢
Been a caretaker twice (first it was my elderly aunt; second- my husband) while working a full time job, still had children in school. It was hard but I took little breaks or when everything is calm down, I would go into my room and watch a movie or tv. It helped
Luke is the crazy Uncle locked in his room with a TV filled with money. He is revered because of his contribution to music. Some of it was not good, IMO ruined Freaknik. Other than that, he is a relic... and I am almost 60 and have been married for 27 years. I know gum flapping when I hear it. Looking forward to Marlon's special. I will watch Katt's but the last one was ehhh. Reggie Bush - Good for him. It has always been ridiculous how they ran college sports like a plantation. No one can afford to work for free and not even be guaranteed an education if you get hurt. Meg the Stallion - I don't know that I believe everything that was alleged or if the guy was so traumatized before his money got cut. But these folks need an HR course because they clearly don't understand that boundaries that must be put in place for their own protection.

Thank you Patty. I died in 2020. The Lord saved me. I was sick and they put me in a Coma. I'm still recovering. Like you I learned how to walk, eat, write. All my motor skills were gone. There's so much more, to much to share. I thank you for encouraging care takers. I appreciate my son for caring for me. I had no one else, but him. He is an angel. I'm so grateful he, saved my life. I was in my bed having a seizure. All due to sepsis, and one pneumonia. Thank you again. Blessings to you and your family.❤❤

Been a caretaker twice (first it was my elderly aunt; second- my husband) while working a full time job, still had children in school. It was hard but I took little breaks or when everything is calm down, I would go into my room and watch a movie or tv. It helped

Luke is the crazy Uncle locked in his room with a TV filled with money. He is revered because of his contribution to music. Some of it was not good, IMO ruined Freaknik. Other than that, he is a relic... and I am almost 60 and have been married for 27 years. I know gum flapping when I hear it.

Reggie Bush - Good for him. It has always been ridiculous how they ran college sports like a plantation. No one can afford to work for free and not even be guaranteed an education if you get hurt.
Meg the Stallion - I don't know that I believe everything that was alleged or if the guy was so traumatized before his money got cut. But these folks need an HR course because they clearly don't understand that boundaries that must be put in place for their own protection.

I lost my grandmother in my early 20s & I lost my parents in my 40s. I still miss them all. Marlon’s my favorite Wayans. Looking forward to his special.

When anyone feels that standards are too high. Your dating or loving on the wrong person. Disconnect and love you 1st because if not you will become someone's project manager that you have to micromanage. Ain't nobody got time for that. Look and live. Blessings

Uncle Luke need to have several seats 🤦🏾♀️👎🏽!!………. I took care of my Grandpa for 5 years. Would not have had it any other way. He was the best! It was an “Honor” to take care of him his last years on this earth. He was in his nineties when he passed away ❤❤❤🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thank you Patty. I died in 2020. The Lord saved me. I was sick and they put me in a Coma. I'm still recovering. Like you I learned how to walk, eat, write. All my motor skills were gone.
There's so much more, to much to share. I thank you for encouraging care takers. I appreciate my son for caring for me. I had no one else, but him. He is an angel. I'm so grateful he, saved my life. I was in my bed having a seizure. All due to sepsis, and one pneumonia.
