Such a cool light hearted group of guys. I feel like that has gotten lost in recent years with the mystique of jerry and the corporatization of the dead. At the end of the day they were just cool dudes who wanted to have fun.
the blondie asking Brent about the keyboards was beautiful! god i wish i was around then the Dead were touring. perfect place to find a soul mate and a lot of good buddies!
I remember getting this as a Holiday gift. Great show! (NYE 87-88 for those who didn't get to see it) I taped it on BETA-MAX, so it's no longer playable. I had just started getting into The Grateful Dead at this point, and had a great New Year's Eve safely at home and watching this, and wishing, on many levels, I could actually be at that show. I caught many shows since then between 88-95, even including Jerry's last show in Chicago. These in between set skits were quite fun to watch. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
A friend told me a story about working with Jerry Garcia in a restaurant circa 1965-66 in Concord, CA, where Jerry was a chef, just before the Dead become a 'thing'. I went online to find any evidence of this and found this video. Per chance does anyone online know of a cafe in Concord from that era owned by a couple with the name Bob Queen?
my mom makes the same stuff for me what an unhealthy generation in every way that has the best taste music clothes dope cigs movies cars buildings artwork actors inventions etc
Jerry has such a great sense of humor
I mean, the best hahaha. Bob's sense of humor is eccentric and offbeat but I love it, too.
Jerry’s like a psychedelic Santa Claus
Yes
Hahahaha, puts on the oven mitt and still grabs it with his bare hand.

Jerry in an apron is precious.

@Burr Anderson Have you figured out, "Which ones Jerry" yet?
This is so cool, man. Jerry seems like he would have been a great party host.
Love this! They should have added the Santa Claus/Mr. Spock mind meld with Jerry and Mickey!!
Watching the host take down one of Jerry’s hors d'oeuvres right out of the oven brings to mind Steve Brule biting into a piping hot panini LOL

It sounds like this is backstage, you can hear an audience on the background

His getup makes me think he just wandered out of the film set for the Me & My Uncle music video.
