You don’t need to juggle to be good at tekken. If you can’t actually learn how to fight in the game, a seasoned person will pick you apart 🤷🏾 don’t rely on juggling people
It really do be like that
@@novared103gaming3 I don’t juggle when I fight. I’m a Bryan main and I play as if I’m actually kick boxing. Mixing it up. Juggling is good for damage but don’t like…….. base your FUNDAMENTALS on it
But juggling makes me look cool!

Because MK1 became boring and laggy weeks before Tekken's release...and many MK players are switching to Tekken

As a MK fan, I approve this message 😂 Tekken is clearly the better game, MK1 is honestly disappointing

I'm a SF head primarily (except for 5 lol), and Tekken 8 brought my love back to Tekken. Tekken 3 and Tekken 5 levels of love. Tekken 8 It's up there with 3rd Strike and Virtua Fighter 5 all time for me. Cheers.
Definitely not. SFVI is like repainting an already painted picture. The options everyone uses are almost the exact same and you see the same scenarios over and over again even in tournament.
And speaking of, tournaments just seem to have a billion Ken and Lukes. It’s extremely dry. Whereas Tekken is pretty damn fresh with how each character gets played and there are so many different options that get used in matches. Tekken 8 is really great.
T8 is great but it ain’t 3rd Strike level. T8 still has a lot to prove. But definitely a top 5 Tekken
Nice to see VF getting a shoutout.
You missed out heavy on Tekken 5 has one of my Favorite Soundtracks Moonlit Wilderness
@user-ky8nd2rz4fFacts, Tekken has never been better than SF imo
Tekken 8 is a legacy game with players that have been playing the game for MANY YEARS and they already know the fundamentals like Korean back dash, wave dashing etc. newbies of course will complain about the game because this IS NOT A EASY GAME TO PLAY. You have to study frames in this game plus know movement. It’s one of the hardest fighting games out there. Any experienced player or even an average player will run over a newbie that’s given.
Someone gets it atleast
I’m new to it and I even liked the game and it’s not that hard to adapt to combos and how to defend against them, just seems like the people that don’t like it just aren’t good at it I guess
@@Bartholomewwalteejenkins against a high level player you will find yourself not being able to adapt. There’s a lot of newbies playing. If you wanna try it out lmk I play professionally
This game is far from legacy .tie a mash cheese fest .plus half the roster is easy mash for big damage
@@Remorsefullyhumble far from legacy lol bro your yapping shut up lol
People really need to learn what fucking poking is jesus. Thats what wins me like 60% of my matches.
What is poking?
@@bananasean5145 Hitting the opponent with jabs, unseeable lows, df1 mid checks, that sort of thing. Low commitment moves that you can use for their own sake to start offense, or to set up counterhits/launchers. Not just that. The va passed away. That review was just brain dead.
The whole purpose of Tekken is to extend combos by punishing your oppent by juggling them...the literal point is to punish and juggle the character been that way for years shit I suck at the game and I still give it my best because I fuking love it. The 2d fighting games just can't compete with it
If ur whole game and aim is to get ur opponent in the air and juggle em then that could be the reason u suck. Launches are meant to be mixed in to a strong string and punish game. If you're looking g for launches all the time u will get punished and broken by good players.
@@bilbo_gamez6195 oooh trust me I figured that out the hard way lmao
@@ghosttemplar6989lol good I'm glad u figured that out now. Look for punishes that do high damage but are fast for example Hwoarang has a like 11 frame punish which is just 2 kicks, no launch but pushes the opponent back put of range a bit so u might be able to get a whiff punish... it does 30 damage... half a combo from 2 kicks lol

coming from a guilty gear player, tekken 8 is fast af idk what homie was smoking saying its slow
Tekkens fastest move comes out at 10f. That's pretty slow.
@@Dreadnobthat has nothing to do with the speed of the game. theres way more factors to consider when it comes to decision making in tekken. the fact that sidestep comes out faster than any attack should help you understand what i mean.
@@Dreadnobanything less than 10 is bullshit imo. Johnny Cage has a 6frame down poke in MK that’s safe even on block just because its 6frames. i know these are two different games but youre not gonna say that 10 frames for a start up is slow my guy
@@Dreadnobfaster moves doesn't makes the games faster lol! mk1 has 6 frames moves but the game is a slide show compare to tekken 8
Smash has 1 frame start ups and those matches are like 3 minutes or more each. Frames have nothing to do with pace.
I think it’s funny how people will play Mortal Kombat’s input heavy, precise combo, robotic movement and say Tekken is slow😂
Precise? 😂😂 Mk combos are jokes. Easiest game to combo in out of all three. Literally zero execution complexity.
In mk1, you can doing combo in the air, if you compare to previous mk games, mk1 movement are slowest
@@WavyJayZ Nah. I’m not saying MK1 is a great game… but the combo potential has the highest skill ceiling out of the big 3 fighting games out right now.
@@bigimportantman1544 you're delusional 😂😂 mk is the easiest game to combo in out of all three, and always has been. Literally doesn't even have qc inputs, or just frames. Stop it.

Can I get any Lion hart stance? Im not used to the changes to him.
Lets get this out the way, Tekken 8 is probably the best Tekken if all time and depending on how the next decade goes, will probably be one of the best fighting games of all time. Button mashing is a strong option in lower ranks, until you learn to sidestep. Throws were always tricky to break, and they sped some of them up and made them stronger because they are supposed to be used to break your opponents aggression up and provide openings for you. The online aint the Greatest but i feel like its better than Tekken 7's (might not be idk just going off of feel here). And this is THE MOST BEGINNER FRIENDLY TEKKEN of all time. Tekken is a hard, complex, and in depth game thats gonna take a long time to even start getting good at (unless you play certain characters COUGH COUGH *ASKUA ABD VICTOR COUGH COUGH*) But the pay off is the most unique, abd in my opinion most fun fighting game out there. Take Tekken as seriously as the level of skill youd like to have in it, and youll have lots of fun
well said brother
Definitely not
@@dmcfail987 What would you say definitely is better than Tekken 8?
@@ysy_y Tekken tag Tekken 3 or Tekken 4
Nah It has good gameplay but everything else is underwhelming; the lore, the art direction, especially the character designs and story despite an interesting story mode concept...
So no it's not the best Tekken of all time, not even close because otherwise it would combine every aspect that made Tekken so cool, it had the greatest potential to be the best ever though.
I don’t like that they made some moves that required movement execution in previous games automatic in button sequence combos, forcing these movements limits the creativity in combos (Heat initiating moves causing your character to dash forward Ex: Jin’s 1+2, Or how Reina automatically does a wind god fist in the end of her button sequence combo 2,2,2,1 instead of having to execute the wave dash movement yourself, THEN pressing 1. This depreciates the value and satisfaction you get from having that control of your character. Also, I don’t like how they made wave dashing (a move which is a mechanic to be utilized properly by the player) a part of Jin’s heat drive ultimately making it more readable and less of an advanced movement. Some moves are even down right simplifies for no reason Ex: T7 Jin’s 1, ⬇️+3, 4 in T8 you don’t even have to do the arrow anymore it’s just 1,3,4 or T7 Devil Jin’s ➡️➡️, 3,1 in T8 is just 3,1. I am really confused why they got rid of arrow inputs in some combos. All this said it really makes the game lose the depth that it had in T7. So for me, the game is okay.
Yo, my dude, my friend told me he saw you mentioning my review for the game. The truth is, I'd been working on my own UA-cam content when Tekken 8 came out hence low hours (just finished the story). I've been playing Tekken since Tekken 3, and I poured most of my time and love into Tekken 7 (over 800 hours). I feel honored that you put me in this video! You just earned a subscriber for life.

To be fair to the Heihachi comment, Jun died wayyyyy back in like Tekken 3. And she's back as a playable character
so you haven´t played Tekken 8 :S , she didn´t die, she was badly injured and was comatose inside the Kazama shrine for +5 years. Is in the side story and character episode.

I don’t see how juggling is the problem when juggling is in MK too 😂😂 honestly Tekken 8 has more creativity with the combos you can have your own style with a character
Tekken 8 is just too much everybody is so buffed beyond belief. Some characters you need to work your ass off to win while with others you get carried so far by bullshit it’s crazy. Namcos fault really.

Literally no one hates Tekken 8. It's the easier game to pick up and learn. Anyone can play even if this is your first time playing and you can pick up some wins against the computer with basic attacks. If you want to do combos....that's a different story but to say everyone hates it. I've played Tekken, SF, MK, and Soul Calibur and MK by far is the worst to learn based off picking up and go (casual play) As far as the newest games...MK once again falls short. Short story, lack of modes, you have to pay for skins, lack of characters (excluding kameos). SF is right there with it with lack of online gaming options. Besides I don't think no one can touch the roster Tekken gives you...and it's free. Base is 32. Options for everyone and there are several easy characters to pick to learn from instead of the basic ones that you really don't like on the others
He's making a problem no one knew about for clickbait
They missed that part about NOT getting Launched if you hate being juggled
Yeah, the creativity and freedom of expression as you said is what draws me to the Tekken franchise. Very unique and so much fun!
I will say Tekken 8 made juggling easy compared to previous Tekkens where 7 and 6 took more skill to know what moves can juggle opponents
tekken 8 is honestly one of the best in the series fr 🔥🤘🏾 dope graphics and story…. probably the most story we got out of a tekken game 🤧

Just wait until Eddy is released, mashers dream.
Conversely, try mashing with Nina.
In certain level of play, yes. But once you get to Tenryu or Mighty Ruler once you choice the short path, you will get fucked and will quit the game. Because in reality Tekken is hard exactly because this stringy nature of the game, and when your opponent lab your shitty strings, you have not clue of what to do. So try to mash strong players, I dare you.

Not all grapples are broken by the same input. Some grapples are broken by pressing LP, some by pressing RP, and some by pressing LP+RP. So, you either guess the grab break or try to memorize them, which is a lot of work just to counter one character.
You don't guess or memorize grabs/breaks you literally react to them it is definitely possible and currently only one character (King) has specific grabs you have to know.(Not that many)
@ohanski I was talking specifically about king here.
Sounds like laziness tbh. Tekken is a hard game to master. If you cant be bothered to train and practice breaking throws then u deserve to have king push ur shit in. I get terrorised by kings and people who span throws, doesn't bother me though because some day soon I will be able to recognise and react to them properly. I've already started consistently breaking 1 and 2 throws just the 1+2s I'm struggling with now
@DonatelloNHB He's still right. You typically react to grabs. However, you are right about King. It's just that we King starts his chains, yeah you basically gotta guess if the chain has multiple ways of going. Lmao

So folks were whining over dumb ish. And they suck at playing Tekken. Get good folks lol
Im more a Tekken fan over most FGs.Soul Calibur ranks up the as well as a few anime fighters like BlazBlue or Guily Gear. Im not exceptional at the game. Never been able to pull off crazy juggles, or at least the kinds thatost pull off. Ive just never put in the time in any fighter to get that crazy at it. I still have moments where I pull off immaculate games, its just not with a 15-40 hit combo. Im the guy that pulls off 4 or 5 hitters a few times and figures out the best openings. Im also aggressive af and thats part of my playstyle. Also a massive downside, but I get by nonetheless. I get frustrated that on the grand scheme of fighting games, im at like a 45-55 overall depending on the game. I still hold my own well enough and enjoy the hell out of them. I do that because I mostly play with friends. Have a few who arent as good but get better over time, and a few who are better and help me improve. You get better with a challenge.
No joke the majority of these negative reviews are just genuine skill issue🤣🤣🤣

This DA Sound Effect never dies
I don't hate T8 but i'm not content. The base roster was trash, battle pass was absurd, cheaters/pluggers are still running amok, the heat system could be better and most of all character balance is needed. As of now, i'm not witnessing passion from the devs like Tekken 2,3,5, and 7...it just feels like a cash grab.
I kinda agree abt the base roster ngl homie they removed Miguel that tipped me off like tf man was abt to try and get revenge only to get stifled
Hate the battle pass too - its a 70 dollar game ffs
Agree abt cheaters
Cannot agree more abt the Heat system needing a rework
Character balance is off too I agree
There are some characters that are completely unbalanced. But overall i love that game. I’ve never been able to spend hours on a fighting game until now. Pushing yourself and leveling up is so addictive and its SO many moves possible and like u said its hard to predict people and u don’t want to be predictable either it’s so cool. You get punished so hard for button mashing once u leave yellow ranks it gets crazy competitive. Instantly.
Honestly this is the worse tekken for anyone to complain about juggling on cuz this is probably the least juggle heavy tekken has been honestly this tekken is more focused on overwhelming your opponent into making mistakes rather than baiting for a launch
If you're getting juggled constantly it means you're not playing defense and button mashing.
Tekken 8 is a hot mess you to fan boy for me I played tekken sense forever it's my favorite fighting game of all time I loved tekken 7 best balanced fighting game I played 8 and was happy with it then started to see what was wrong with the game still play it but don't take it as serious most characters have no counter play on moves that should be counterble and side steeping has pretty much become null and void sense the tracking is so absurd there is pretty much no side step that makes tekken different from mk and street fighter is the 3d aspect of not 2d they turned tekken 8 into a 2d fighter and its upsetting they need to fix tekken 8 even the pros who where Evo Champs example arshlen ash was giving it a tarable review due to a lot of these reasons let alone its made for noobs which doesn't help the game out ether. Tekken 8 needs to be fixed or it won't pass tekken 7 on player count and sales it won't last as long like tekken 7.
People writing those review have never touched the game, but the game is living rent free in their heads.
People that complain about combos and say that they’re arcade warriors are lying. Street Fighter 2 had broken tech since day 1.
My biggest issue as a new tekken player is to face people who are constantly pressuring/mashing. Some characters like Hworang, Jin, Bryan, Devil Jin, Dragunov can constantly do strings that lead to a launcher. I just don't know what to do. All I can do is praying for a counter hit between 2 attacks and launch a big combo that will take them 50% hp. So yea, I can understand the frustration especially if you are coming from another fighting game where you can't do that kind of stuff. Tekken seems to be less " turn " based than others games i've played (I'm not a MK player, more SF and others japanese games ).
I'm at dominator/eliminator and I feel like playing against Elden Ring bosses when I play some guys. Whatever I do i get cooked by random attacks that seems to be positive on block/whiff or recovery.
Low rank players play a whole different game, it’s mostly button mashers, you have to learn movement and defense first before you can get to the combos, it‘s really rough and will take a lot of practise but it feels amazing when you sidestep a masher and absolutely destroy them.
No one hates Tekken 8 💀. If they d they’re just ass and can’t adapt. Tekken 8 is the gold standard of all fighting games.
If you hate Street Fighter its only because you’re ass and can’t adapt.
As a Reina main she can be annoying to play against but it a learning process
Yeah, but people need to remember she has weak lows, and can't launch you from any of her lows. So you can stand block her and basically never get hit. Except from pokes from her lows. She is also very linear in her move set...side step is your friend.

I admittedly haven't played a tekken game since Tag 2 and admittedly what got me into 8 was that Jun returned and she was someone I always played and despite the fact I'll likely get tossed in most of my matches, honestly I've been enjoying it and hope to keep practicing enough to hold my own in most of my matches ^^ It's alot of fun and admittedly it sucks to lose, but it's a nice change of pace for me and I'm enjoying it alot more than I thought I would.
If they’re new to the franchise, I’ll give them a pass, but Tekken’s been mostly about juggling since T5. . .
Nah T4 😂 everybody know how broken T4 juggling system was especially if you were Lee or Steve

Tekken is the best game! Nothing comes close. SF6 is good too. MK who?
It’s the fundamentals of learning the basics if you can block and poke you can win the match. I’ve played couple people that have the best defense but can’t do combos for sht 😂.
I own both SF6 and Tekken 8. Tekken is better to me currently in my time of life. I just haven’t loved a street fighter since Ultra IV. This is just my personal preference for the time being. Eventually I’ll get around to putting more work into SF6.
I enjoy both. Street Fighter 6 has a little more for me because I love character creation/customization. The cinematic story was icing on the cake for me. Both are good games. No need to really bash either one
Ever since ppl bad talked elden ring, i stopped caring about the masses bad opinions. Most are either 8yo's or streamers who cant learn the basics enough to get views. I own mk1, sf6, and T8, and as far as gameplay goes, we all knew tekken was gonna knock it out the park. Its always been a cut above the rest imo with sf6 coming in at a close second, only because Tekken hasnt put that commentator in there like they did in SF6, such a great addition. MK1, i hate i got hyped for it. Its slow, laggy, characters are bland, fatalities havent been great since MKX, story was very middle of the board, just a very 5 game. SF6 is very fun, vibrant, innovative, and easy to pick up on at first, plus the charscters are unique in their own way. But boyyyyy that meta game is rough. A little too rough at times. Idk i like them all just tekken 8 is my childhood

It’s simple, defense doesn’t award you much and it’s all about aggression. Even low high moves that were duckable from t7, you can’t duck them here once the first hit hit. Some characters have guard break moves and you can’t even block anymore, plus heat and chip damage. The game, design, graphics and everything else is perfect
Yoooo that's awesome.. Steve fox main fa life but I'm ass with combos lol but will always love tekken regardless if I'm getting my ass beat. Been a steve fox main since his release in t4 tho I won't lie I feel so out played against other characters and feel like they need to buff my man's lol
2:39 dude, it's not because someone "bad" or "salty", it's because people used to predictable mechanics and framefata, when you know what will happen when you do sertain inputs. In this game sometimes you just have to mash because this game in 3d, and the frsmes and posioning is always different
Youve been right about everything, however Lil Majin has shown that King is a little broken right now. And when it comes to King, I'll take his word for it lol.
All of his throw combos that are usually breakable by hitting 1, 2, or both dont break the throw like they should.
He's gone over it extensively. Nothing too hard to fix, but he is broken currently. So i kinda get where the comment about king is coming from.
Its still avoidable as long as you break the initial grab attempt.
No lei wulong is valid I’m crying too
Honestly all these people complaining about online crashing all the time etc is just an issue with their connectio or particular region. I been playing this game every day since release and probably got disconnected like 4 times MAX
Cabinet of Curiosities, basically they are stating that there are a whole lobby of unknown, mixed bag type, variable groups pf players, that all seem to consistently show a pattern of nothing but juggle combo spam. This has been a very big issue since Tekken Tag Tournament 2 I would argue.
"juggle combo spam" isn't a thing, combos are the primary way to deal damage in virtually every fighting game, especially in Tekken. And even in that game at a high level it ultimately boils down to knowing the matchup, having knowledge of frames, and relying on mix-ups, pokes and counter-attacks from players who know what to look for. Learn to block properly and you don't get juggled as much lol
The only thing I dislike in Tekken is that there is like only some predictable characters in there and if you mained someone else and he isn't in the starting roster then it is a feel bad moment. I tried a lot of characters and Armor King stuck with me because of the brawler type. Yeah there is some other brawler types in there but I don't want to relearn everything so I can just play a different character so when my main gets back I need to relearn him again (muscle memory etc.). The price ... 80 dollars and every character 7,99 and you can't even lab them when you don't buy them .... cheeeesus.
Tekken 8 is the best fighting game available anddddd my favorite character, Lei WuLong isn't even on it ...yet. The Heihachi comment was crazzyyy 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly i like T8 more than SF6 currently to me. And thats crazy to me because im mostly SF over everything seriously. But T8 Is way more fun with epic exchanges in combat for me. I love and hate it for reasons. I like it more than T7 although i loved the hell out of using Geese and Akuma.
Tekken 8 isnt slow at all so i dont know wtf is the other dude talking about. The shit is way faster than SF6 to me. Im in Diamonds now but it just bores me after a while. TEKKEN 8 ropes you in to play more. Only things i hate that bugs me for now is how to take my turn back when i hit a player with Heat a rush. Its like they can ALWAYS block the follow up too fast. So Either i just try to fake a mix up or attempt a sneak throw. Its like im almost always too slow by seconds to follow up certain hits after i blocked a attack. THAT and gettin juggled into oblivion from one opener and your trying to counter before the player and that helpin either. But anyway the game is still hot me 🤷🏿♂️. F*** the reviews.
AND lastly, NO, 200 bucks is not worth traveling to smell corn chips all day and sit among casuals to play regular and not even play against the pros for major dollars. I can stay home for all that
-Your friendly neighborhood Devil Jin Main 🙃🙋🏾♂️
You a damn lie Tekken 8 so Mfckin 🔥🔥🔥 and that's coming from a Mortal Kombat player..smh can't believe I'm even saying this but I play this more then MK1 I'm loving it and they should get fighting game of the year hands down!!!
Honestly, the Juggling is a bit of a problem, even as a legacy player the juggling does get out of hand where a back MP can get you in the air and not get a chance to play... learning the combos is less rewarding than learning to juggle...
On the note of the game having no complexity, they have made tiny (but big to the overall game plan for some characters) changes to end frames, punish frames and when you can act after moves. Think of it as the difference between the end lag of a dark souls roll. Alot of moves that might have been safe or given mixup in 7 are nerfed. Tekken is a game of small opportunity windows and having less of them just forces you to use the same 5 moves that actually have favorable windows of opportunity. They wanted people to be more offense base but the previous games were already offense based, it's just that once you get to a certain level of game play you can't use any of the flashy moves anymore, you just have to stick with the safest moves you have because one or two punishes is the round.
for the question at the end of the video, Alisa, she has a detachable head, u can kiss her no matter what position u use, just take her head off and kiss her. I bet Lars did this at least once
